Air Arms S510 Ultimate Sporter or is it?
What was the distance for the accuracy test?
@@YxngCrAiG I think it was 30m. Can’t remember. Did I not say in the video? I try to remember to mention it.
@ i dont believe so, i reskimmed the video and reviewed the transcript and couldnt find anything. Either way im already assuming the gamo urban, which i was trying to compare has better stats which is crazy to me given the price difference.
@ looking at the era of the video I would say 30 yards. The rifle was a .22. For a non regulated classic venom webley. It was pretty descent. Hope you enjoyed the video.
@@gardenguns highly recommend the gamo urban if you havent tried it yet, i truly think its the best budget gun on the market next to a xisco sentry.
@ I look forward to it if one comes my way!
I bought one 2 years ago. My only rifle. Haven’t shot it loads. Would i part with it? No way, Jose. Beautiful. Great video cheers 👍🏻🫡
@@GapingGash Thanks! The TX200 is most definitely a keeper! 👌
My cp2 in .22 with long barrel is showing 154 mtrs per second. With 15.89 jsb s.all standard.
Delrin ring to compression tube 🤔
Tighter pellet groups aren't just down to the person shooting the rifle, a lot of it also has to do with the best suited pellets for the rifle barrel. Out of 123 different pellet brands and weights that I've tested so far, my .22 cal Weihrauch HW99S prefers: RWS Hobby, BISLEY Super Field, Air Arms Accuracy Plus, BSA Target, BISLEY Magnum, Rangemaster Sovereign Hunter, Air Arms Diabolo Hunter, JTS Wadcutter, and FX 18.10g.
Hi where i can found ?
Very interesting and topical, I just found my old model 27 when sorting my loft. Thinking of selling, but not sure of value, it's in alright condition for a 90yr old 😂
@@jefffiles9209 Not worth as much as a Webley Service MK2 however still worth a few quid if in good condition and working order. Good luck selling it! 🤞
❤
The hw80 was originally made to shoot at 19 -20 fbs for the export market, it was detuned for the uk market, you must have one of the export ones , obviously a fac in the uk ,
@@badbackman1 I believe that is what gives the UK limit HW80’s there fantastic firing cycle.
@gardenguns i have recently acquired one of these rifles in a deal with two rifles it is in .22 , it's about two years old in a very nice cs 700 thumb hole stock with a Luke jolly trigger, it shoots very well but I'm not into. 22 , so it will be up for sale , nothing against the gun it's just i dont do .22 , 😁👍
Walnut tx200 hc 1995 value ta , good as new 👍
@@luapnosboh7421 I am thinking about buying a walnut stock. They are beautiful
@@gardenguns not selling it like just wonder of the value nowaday
@@luapnosboh7421 Probably more than you paid for it!
Mine loves hades very accurate
I used to use beisly magnums 20 grain in my hw80k
Hi mate, if you do some chrono testing with a selection of different pellets you will likely discover your 99 produces significantly more muzzle energy with the lightest pellets (typically RWS Hobby 11.9gr). Of course what matters more is to select which pellets group best with that rifle and practice a lot to learn the trajectory and hone your technique. AA Field 16gr, H&N FTT 14.66gr, Webley Mosquito 14.35gr, JSB Jumbo Express 14.35gr are quality pellets worth trying. My HW99 does well with those JSB Jumbo 15.89gr, every barrel is different. It can really help to rest the rifle on your hand with the bag supporting your hand.
@@Beesa10 I have tried some of those pellets. Mine seems to like the RWS Super Domes. I will give the ones I don’t have a try. Always good to keep testing! All the best for 2025 👍
@@gardenguns Cheers mate, all the best
Are you reviewing this pistol while pissed ?
@@philforbes7467 hungover maybe. Pissed definitely not. Why? Were you pissed when watching and you were lonely and want a friend?
@ absolutely matey, been worse the wear for 4 days running , avoided video cameras though 🤣
@@philforbes7467 it was a tuff 12 days brother.😁
So called tuning gives nothing. You either do the 22mm conversion or you do nothing
@@bratarnolda The firing cycle on mine is far nicer than a standard TX200. Need to sort the trigger out though. The previous owner has messed it up.
Haven't had a 45 for years, but the reason I liked it was because it was so hard to shoot so it actually took some skill. Like a cannon in comparison to a pneumatic like the gamo compact or hw40. I do miss it sometimes but without a decent back garden there is little point in having another as it's definitely a plinker for me, and not something I would use at the club 10m range
@@jamesmitchell2041 Totally agree. It is the closest thing to an Airgun hand cannon in the UK!
Have a nice Xmas 👍🏻🎅

@@ScratchyBaws Thank you!have a great 2025! 👊
I'd be well happy with that group at 50 yds. I have a Dreamline tactical that I've had for the last couple of years and it's been great. Shame people have to mess with them when not necessary.
@@Jones-xx2gc There are a lot of good videos online. Most of which I look at and go ‘no bloody way’ I am not blessed with good tech skills. Grade 4 CSE in DT. If it ain’t broke….
@gardenguns I'd be watching that Sub 12 video if I wanted to do any maintenance. In fact, I already have it saved just in case.
@ That video is what gave me the knowledge touring my rifle back from the grave! My wife still won’t shoot it. 😢
I wouldn't mind one of these. Can't say I'm not jealous of your garden range set up, nice one.
@@Jones-xx2gc Yeah my wife bought the house. I bought the garden.
@gardenguns sounds like a great partnership.

Great video. How about a shoot out between the 99 and Tx. Budget vs top end springer, both with the same scope. Hope you keep the videos going. Take care.
@@PaulTowns-p8w oooooooff. That is a great idea! Both are heavily tuned. I need to find the time to do it though. Work is a bit hectic atm.

Well done mate , you made it , 12 👍 , an absolutely top choice , I have one in .177 , and yes i agree will last a lifetime . The HW stuff take some beating .
@@glenford4527 Thank you. All the best for 2025. Let’s hope it’s a good one!☝️
I totally agree, I have HW 99s in .22 and .177. Bothe glided pistons with Custom stocks. Only rifle you will ever need. Enjoyed your days of Christmas 👍🏻 don’t forget the 57 also amazing
@@ianbath4776 Soooo need to get hold of a 57 for test! All the best for 2025! 👊
@ I would let you test my 57’s got .22 open sights and .177 scoped up. The .22 is the earlier model with pull back lever but the .177 is the very latest model, lever works like the 77 with button and removable for sight
@ Thank you. Never say never to borrowing a subscribers gun. However I don’t like the idea of it just in case something goes wrong. There is a lot of negativity online for both the 57 and the 99. I will have to try and get hold of a 57 for long term test.
@@gardenguns£300 is quite a lot for something that wears itself away every time you use it.
@ I have owned 2 and both have been trouble free. It is a shame that there have obviously been issues at some point in the production life of this rifle.
Take a bit more water with it mate.
@@offgrid8445 Now if only I could turn water into wine. Happy Christmas and all the best for 2025!
Try a .20 barrel on it, doubt if you would go back…. Did it on my 98 and I’m hooked on .20
@@andybrown8293 20…….. not sure why it hasn’t had more take up. Icon only assume it is the same difference between 9mm 40mm and 45 acp. The intermediate calibers get no love.

Day 12 👍 You got there, all twelve !!! These easy informal chatty videos have been really refreshing. Thanks for your dedication. On this one you really hit on an interesting point and one that I’ve actually been considering, as in getting a good upscoped ‘iron sight’ Springer. It’s kind of going back to basics and where I started which has quite an appeal. Not sure what those issues with the 99 were, not heard of gauzing (?) and the other thing. Anyway, thank you so much for your 12 Days of Christmas videos, really enjoyed them and look forward to your posts in ‘25 when you can find the time to do them.
