Thanks for that great question! It depends on your faction. For the early game, before you get access to AT guns and vehicles strong against armour, your best bet is upgrading infantry with AT weapons (again, faction dependent). For most early game vehicles, concentrated rifle fire is often enough to put them down, as are heavy weapon squads. The key is to not let light vehicles get the jump on your heavy weapon squads early game. Hope that helps!

Well for the story, it's about a Galactic Empire (probably Star Wars reference) that dies out because it was run by sentient machines called OMNI's that mysteriously turn off one day. There was a secret imperial cloning facility that was run by an OMNI that was off the grid that survived, and when it got concerned about not being contacted by the empire, cloned Admiral Idaho (probably a nod from Dune) to find out what went wrong. The game is the journey of finding out what happened to the OMNI's and the empire. I'll keep picking away at this one for sure!

Thanks for the tips! This is really early gameplay from when COH3 was first released. They've released a graphics overhaul so the game even looks much different now. Eventually I'm going to get the Orks for the other game mode, because they're my favorite faction. The price tag on the DLC is too high, and way too high since there is no Ork campaign!

I think they're both great! I just wish the player base wasn't so hostile!

Honestly after playing this game I'm thinking of picking up some of the books from the Black Library!

@@wintersoldierc5 there are a lot of good ones. The Horus heresy is a good starting point. But there are tons of different ones for the different factions and races too.

COH3 is actually pretty good right now, pre-ordered it against what I normally do, I usually only buy games on sale but I'm a big fan. It was really bad at release which generated a lot of negative feedback. But after some time and a few updates, it's in a state now I could recommend to anyone! Maybe just try to get it 30% off. No, unfortunately there are only two single player campaigns. Instead of a co-op campaign, I'd actually prefer a head-to-head campaign to be honest.

Re: bombardments they work better against defensive positions. For example if he has machine guns and AT guns set up, use the artillary before pushing your tanks on. This way he will have to move the gun emplacements giving you the drop on him.

Yeah it's pretty great. It got off to a rough start at launch, but there will be lots of improvements, patches and updates coming down the pipeline. I'll go back to it for sure, just letting it cool off because I don't want to sink 100 hrs into it all at once and then get bored of it. It's something I'll be coming back too.
