I realize this is 3 years gone but to me the song is very much a commitment and companionship with one's anxiety and needs in a tounge-in-cheek - she can't swim not because she physically can't, but because she won't let herself do it, because it's not who she is at her core. you have everything you need within yourself.
This is actually from an Afghan poem by Khushal Khan. He's like their poet laureate. 'There is a boy across the river with a bottom like a peach, But alas I cannot swim'
it's that same pace, just a better quality version. I realized its from her "Live in London" EP. I tried to find it on iTunes because that's where I had it before but it's not available for purchase in the U.S.. A shame because that was by far my favorite version of the song and I can't find it anywhere else. Thanks for your help!
This sounds like a different version from what I've heard before. Is this from the album? I think it was a hidden track.
Wow that’s just perfect
this is the saddest song I know and it's my biggest fear, and my anxiety is gonna suffocate any chance of a life for me

Charlie Fink and Laura Marling's relationship still pains me I don't know how they ever got over eachother.
Such beauty and truth...
Mine, mine (in my heart), always. Thank you!
I think I'll adopt this song as my hymn... Thanks for having shared it!
