The puppies are doing very well! At five weeks we are starting crate training, vehicle familiarity. Next week we start leash training. While I work with the pups on the basics, I have yet to decide whether I will be taking these pups into the woods. Let me know what you think!

The forest, no place like home, thanks for the bear video
@@notmuchtime33OUTDOORS you are correct, time spent outdoors is home, although we may not get to enjoy it as much as we want too. Every trip, excursion or training just reaffirms my love of nature. Thank you for stopping by and sharing a comment!
Very cool
@@BasecampUnbounded thanks!
❤️🇺🇸❤️
yawn...
beautiful pictures! and I think that bear just wanted a hug lol
He did… just a little bear hug…
skills passed down from generation to generation! Looks good!
Thank you!
I really liked the huge black sidebars on this video. Could you maybe just take a video that's just solid black?
@@cody481 yeah, next video I do will be all black just for you! Love constructive criticism and sarcasm all wrapped in one comment! You win today!! Great job!
Thanks for sharing! From what I've seen/read, you do want to aim your firepan hole into the wind, which by the direction of the smoke looks to be about 11:00 from the camera view, though I think that rule of thumb may apply more the windier it is. Also, I'm surmising from the jet-stream of boiling water at 12:32 (along with your commentary) that pouring through the whistle is not the recommended method. I just ordered my .75L version from Lehman's Hardware last night (10-2-24), with a carry bag, and even with a 10% discount set me back $132 ($109 for the kettle & bag, ~$10 tax & $24! for standard shipping!).
@@IAMSatisfied the more I use it… the more I enjoy it.. especially in a camp environment. Now a long trek alone… might be a little bulky.. but it boils fast and I am impressed! Let me know how you like yours!
Good rocks there!!!
@@Meme-qd2oj thank you!! Love how flint ridge flint shines up!
I’d like to see more videos on these and also of what you originally wanted to do, cook on the top.
@@Meme-qd2oj coming soon!!! What would you like to see made?
I just ordered one. I have researched this one the kk and the gk i like the thought of handles vs chain and bail that goes over the fire if your not paying attention when you take it off the fire
@@jksurvivalbushcraft better way to cook on the top-there’s some kind of grill made, trying to find it.
@@brandonwilliams2431 I just got mine. Though I don’t like anything made in China, I like this handle and the screw top so you can carry water he mentions in the video. Only the aluminum from Ghillie Kettle is not made in China, made in England. Nothing made in Ireland anymore. Gonna try cooking with it soon. All the stainless ones, Kk and Gk along with this one are made in China (but this is a German company). Oh-I have to order the carry bag cuz it doesn’t come with it-strange.
Not a clue...
Nice review! I really like storm kettles, the handles and build in legs are a big plus. I have one arriving in a couple of days.
I have really come to enjoy mine. Worth every penny, especially in base camp.
Ps thank you for the kind words!
Where is this River?
This is burr oak lake in Ohio.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Nagyon jó videó. Semmi sem látszik!
Too cute
Ty!
lol, I was waiting for flint rocks to come tumbling down a mountain , sparking and starting fires?
Next video!! There will be all kinds of sparks!
Frankie said get me tf outa here😭
lol he has escaped three times.. we have had to put in the other extension in the doorway… lol
I live rocks. I'm 63 and have been obsessed since I was a small girl.
I hope you enjoyed the video! Just a small part of what I collected this past year!
This video ROCKS! Lol so cool to see all the different shapes and colors.
Thanks bud!! I am sure I have missed some. And lord knows I don’t know half of what they all are….
LOVE the many uses (not to mention the appearance) of the many “rocks”.
Thank you!
Compact, really varied set of supplies. Strongly advise different wheels or a roller base instead of the supplied wheels. I have the same box used for my welder supplies.
I e got some ordered, will have to figure out how to reinforce the mounting…
Uh oh we have a runner lol
This one is an escape artist lol
It isn't your problem for not having a way to measure the water, but i think the company who makes meals for outdoors should assume most people don't and instead instruct to fill the pouch up "about half way" or "almost to the top". I think I will order the Kelly Kettle, simply because I can't find these in stock anywhere.. the must be a hit!
I got this one four months ago, and haven’t seen any anywhere for sale. So they must be good sellers. I will say, it boils water quickly!
Oh My! TOOOO Darn Cute!
If you think that’s cute, scroll back through the videos I have of them from birth until now! I am thinking of doing a long video of them,,, I have sooo many pictures and videos of them so far and they aren’t even five weeks! Training starts next week!!
You look like a million dollars.
He’s a very curious pup, that’s for sure!
I’ve owned several of those tool boxes and the wheels break even when u are being gentle. Be advised.
Thank you, I have ordered new bigger wheels, will see how much more I have to do to strengthen the mounting… appreciate the heads up!
How do those waxed pants feel when you’re wearing them, it seems they are very stiff.
They are, so here is the reality. If you use straight wax like I did, they take forever to break in and wear in. However, I waxed mine in early fall and wore all winter with long Johns. No issues, by spring they are broke in and no chafing, in fact no chafing all winter while wearing long Johns. I wouldn’t try breaking them in without something under them. While stiff at first after break in it is noticeable but not uncomfortable or worth the benefits, wind resistant, waterproof, and dang near impenetrable to thorns and heavy brush. There are many different ways to make “ tin pants” check out wranglestar and others on you tube for their method. I choose to go straight wax because I treat with permethrin and did not want any other chemicals interacting with that. Do not use soy wax… use beeswax and paraffin based wax. ( soy wax over time if not a good quality will cause issues). Best of luck and let me know if you try it. P.s. it takes a while… a lot of heat gun work, do not throw in your dryer thinking you will melt off excess,, you will,,, but your wife will hate you. Good luck!
Very innovative! The whole toolbox thing is a great idea! I haven’t seen that before. Did you wax the pants to make them water resistant??
Yes and to help fend off thorns and such when going through heavy brush. They are also treated with permethrin to prevent ticks.
@@jksurvivalbushcraft ah! Permethrin was an excellent addition.
@@kenmccrady1228 makes all the difference in the world… one of the places I go is literally named tick ridge… and I’ve never had one on me…
@@jksurvivalbushcraft wow. That’s awesome. Tics run rampant here in Florida too. I once fell onto a tic ball in the Ocala National Forest while trailblazing towards Mud Lake and had about 100+ tics on me at one time. I played a game that I called “Pick-a-Tic” for hours. I discovered permethrin shortly afterwards. 😂
@@kenmccrady1228 there is nothing worse than playing pick a tick…I’d rather play with snakes… lol
Best get some rubber wheels for that thing
Allready in the works!!
@@jksurvivalbushcraft back in the day there was a whole movment for bug-out wheel barrels.
@@jksurvivalbushcraft check out a company named monowalker.
Clever idea!
Thank you, it’s a quick and easy load up, and you can set it up for whatever your needs may be. It works really well if you are base camping from a vehicle. Load it up lock the truck and go for a couple days or so.
Awesome!
Can also serve as durable, packable toilet paper.
Primarily what I use it for!
When you make them out of makeup remover pads. Insert a match stick or two inside and include some strikers. This way it's a full fire system instead of needing another device.
Great idea!!! I will definitely try that!
KiaOra. Good morning. Try bending & modifying the prongs out wider. Or a slightly smaller pan. Ensure the Billy is on a flat solid surface. I cook toasted sandwiches on my shovel over a thermette. 😊
I believe my pan handle was throwing too much weight to the outside. I have a plan to modify it! Thanks for the tip!
@@jksurvivalbushcraft Awesome, I look forward to seeing what you come up with! Necessity is the mother of invention. 😉
An alternative option for lighting the firebox other than those stinky chemical fire starter cubes. Q please. Are they environmentally friendly?
Yes they are ! They are 100% natural materials! Cotton and a proprietary natural wax blend!! You are the first to ask that very important question!!
@@jksurvivalbushcraft KiaOra. Good morning from New Zealand. Bushcraft is a way of life here, environmentally friendly is a big plus factor! Also, ways to repurpose/multipurpose the tin for bushcraft applications would be interesting. Ie: A tutorial on how to turn 2 empty firestarter tins into a Penny Stove. (Also known as a Scouts stove).New sub!
@@sixthsenseamelia4695 now that is a great idea!! Now my brain frantically processing all the ideas that might work! Ty! And greetings from Ohio USA!

Brilliant mate love that space you have to play in.
Thanks!! Someday maybe I’ll do a video of the shop!
Thank goodness I’m not in a blizzard state anymore, but still an informative and beneficial video.
Thank you!! And enjoy the warmer weather!!
I have these in every pack, most jacket pockets, glove compartment, and kit. So useful. Wet with alcohol or high alcohol gel hand sanitizer and boom fire starter!
They are so useful! I haven’t thought of using as a fire starter(shocker I know…) so thanks for that awesome tip!!
Great day to wish for a thermos of hot coffee.
I really do need an old fashioned percolator..getting tired of instant coffee when I am out and about out.
Sounds like a job for thrift store man.@@jksurvivalbushcraft
@@craftingontheporchwithbill I keep my eye out… sooner or later I’ll find one.
@@jksurvivalbushcraftHidden deep in my basement i have one of the old all-glass percolators that let you watch the coffee perking. It will be a collectors item to leave to my son.
@@craftingontheporchwithbill we had one growing up, and somewhere in the last 30 yrs it found a new home… I’d love to find another, I don’t want an Amazon special either lol
An almost universally ignored preparation. Good work.
Thanks Bill!!!
Sometimes it’s the basic things that most forget…
Good One. Could have spent more time on the quality of the items in the bucket. Thanks.
Great point, the one thing I struggle with is properly explaining on video.. every video I make I try to do one thing better. After I did this one I realized that there was so much more to say and show . I went to fast.. I appreciate your input. That’s what makes us better in the field and on camera. Much appreciated!
Let me know if you find any more Colbert cards laying around.😊

Peace comes in many forms , to many people. I thoroughly enjoy my time in the woods. And honestly I think alone in the woods is the best way to be there. Nothing but nature and…. Peace…
