@@jeffunknown9927 what a brutal game from a Patriots fan perspective. From a neutral fan I am curious how that game felt? Didn’t seem like the best football was being played, a TON of penalties. This game was a disasterclass from the Patriots in so many ways.

That Lions Rams game was a gem as a neutral fan, I do have my Lions leaning, but always a battle between those two teams. Great Win for the Lions! Amon St. Brown killed my parlays is the guy hurt!? Got his big contract and disappeared.

Your team is so stacked, looking forward to seeing how the Lions do this season. Last I heard they were far apart in years and numbers, this off-season has been needlessly confusing with Swayman, I am glad he's still doing local events like the Triathlon. You're right, if he's doing those at least he's not bitter living in LA right now.

I think Bolden had more QB reps than Maye! Completely took over the game. I need to do some research on how our Team of the NFC is doing in those Lions! They are the hope for us this year.

@@OldBullAndYoungCalfhaha. So keep an eye on Hendon Hooker in upcoming years. He’s an incredibly quick QB with a cannon for an arm. He actually ran the ball and lowered his shoulder to plough over one of the NY Giants on defence. My jaw was on the floor as I’m used to QB’s sliding or throwing the ball away for safety reasons.

​@@stefanwatts7038I'm kind of bummed Tatum and Holiday are playing in the Olympics. They have both played a TON of basketball being with teams that annually go on deep playoff runs, and Tatum probably could use that wrist surgery. Worried a bit about both of them being fatigued next season.

This team has made it so easy on us fans, past Celtics teams were down 3 - 2 to the Bucks or 76ers, going 6 games with the Atlanta Hawks, going 0 - 3 with the Heat, taking something that should be easy and making us sweat. This team is everything we've wanted. Absolutely, @stefanwatts. How about we talk about the best DEFENSIVE back court in league history? Would love to see who is better than this tandem. Did Jordan ever play with a point guard who was an elite defender? If not, Holiday and White may be the best ever.

I have to re-watch that second half of him against Porzingis, he had his hands in Porzingis' pocket half the time. If we played defense like that on Doncic our players would get technicals. Lively as a rookie should not be getting that kind of a whistle these refs need to put the young blood in check.

@MrBean, Porzingas can make body contact look worse than it is because he's so lanky. But I felt Lively got away with at least one body check fronting Porzingas. Kid needs to be more savvy and less obvious when being physical.

Completely nailed it about regular season, I knew the Bruins record against the Panthers was smoke and mirrors. This Mavericks team has matured and found their rhythm since we've played them. Simultaneously people like to dog the Pacers etc., but they were an interesting team that gave a lot of people problems/beat them and are not getting the credit the deserve. Regarding Tatum & Doncic you are completely right, James Harden is the perfect Doncic comparison. Harden will of course never get it done, partially not his fault from ill-timed injuries to his teams early in his career. If the Mavericks find a way to beat this Celtics team and beat them in 4/5 games, maybe even 6 I'll be eating my words. I just would rather have a player like Tatum on my team than Doncic for the exact reasons you shared. I think one of the helpful reasons you understand this is being a hockey fan, seems like Hockey fans appreciate defense a bit more than Basketball fans now adays. This Stanley Cup final is strikingly similar to the NBA Finals, a returning team who came up short recently, Celtics in 2022, Panthers in 2023. An up and coming offensive juggernaut who hasn't been there before in the Oilers and Mavericks. Usually experience wins out, I would not be shocked at all if the Panthers flex on the Oilers and take it home and you're wearing Black and Gold next season!

@@OldBullAndYoungCalf I definitely believe that you hit the nail on the head with the comparison on the NHL and NBA finals. What the world is about to witness in both of these sports is gonna be incredibly entertaining and very very interesting. Beyond the stats and beyond the analytics all 4 teams have something to prove and play for. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous for both the Panthers and the Celtics, but I still hold a high level of confidence that both of them will win it all.

Only thing off is Dallas isn't favored, but there are a LOT of "experts" picking them to win, (slightly more than the Celtics.). And when you look at the coverage on ESPN and other major sports news outlets, they are talking about Doncic 80% of the time, Irving 5% of the time, Tatum not being "The Guy" 5% of the time, and the Celtics/Mavericks 5% of the time. It's frankly a little ridiculous, and boy, if the Celtics do win it all, these sports shows will be fun to watch when they're all trying to justify why they were wrong. It will be especially juicy if Tatum outplays Doncic.

@Whiskey0461 my wording may not have been the best admittedly, but if you had told me at the start of the season I’d get to game 6 of round 2, AND get to send the Leafs home in Game 7 OT I wouldn’t have been miserable. As a fan who expected nothing this season after our big trade deadline last year, I have come away better than I expected and got to watch some great hockey.

It does also feel like a bit of a lost opportunity, because when you have a hot goalie on a Playoff run, you just need marginal scoring to go with it, and you can usually win the Cup. It has been since 2008, similar to the Bruins they have had a ton of regular season success without getting the chip which is bittersweet of course as a fan year after year, this is the year they should win it. The Wolves are a tougher matchup on paper, but after watching them in their last series and in the first game against Dallas they are just so mentally young compared to Dallas. Kyrie and Doncic's composure, especially Kyrie's will be interesting to deal with, if the Wolves can battle back against Dallas and make the finals they will be the tougher matchup if they can keep their head. Biggest stat that stood out to me was Wolves taking 49 3 pointers, Mavericks taking 25. This should be swapped, the Wolves have the 3 best centers in this series and they refused to attack the paint, similarly, they have the 3 best centers and they were unable to force the Mavericks in to 3s. Wolves need to figure out what their strength is on offense against this smaller, defensively lacking Mavericks team quick. If they make it to us, the Wolves are a tougher matchup for our bigger wings. I will say about the Panthers, they played so well yesterday against the Rangers, it hurts to say, but I can tell the stage might be a bit too big for that Rangers team, it's a knee jerk reaction, but I would now be shocked if the Panthers don't win this series in 5 games. Shutting the rested, president's cup Rangers out in MSG is SUCH a statement.

Wolves definitely shot way too many 3’s, it’d be interesting to see how / if they change that at all, and they definitely need to do better at the free throw line. 11 for 18 at 61% that can’t happen, whether people want to admit to it or not, free throws can 100% change the course of a game, and adding on to what you said about being the bigger team, they can’t get out blocked 8 to 3 like that. It’s gonna be an interesting one for sure how both the wolves and the pacers react / adapt to their losses. As far as the Panthers go… man I’m gonna be honest I just need to see one ☝️. 9 times out of 10 I watch sports simply just to relax, and blow off steam, and once I see any of my teams win it all, I’m good for decades to come because at least I can say I was alive to see it happen. Alive being the key word there. I’ve seen the Heat won their first plus more, from there on I was good, not even mad they got knocked out by the Celtics, in football I like Green Bay, got to see them win with Farve and Rodgers, good there, saw the marlins win, good there, I’m happy about that. Panthers is just the last of the Mohicans for me. I see them win it all this year, hell I’ll pull for the Bruins to win next season, because I’ll never forget the moment they win it all, you know what I’m saying? That’s all it ever is to me, I see it happens once, and I’m good for decades to come not even concerned whether I see it again or not.

The speed in which they play is scary, the wolves barely won that Denver series after going up 2-0 on the road, will be interesting to see how they respond. You’re so right about FTs, if you outsize a team and they can just hack you and remove half of the points you’d get off an easy layup you’re in trouble. As for the Panthers, in our first series we joked with Leafs fans who was going to get trucked by the Panthers? During the Panthers series I thought who is going to get trucked by the Rangers? But I couldn’t have been more wrong. When the Bruins won Game 1 against the Panthers I knew it was a fluke, 5-1, but you’re out shot by almost double?! And sure enough it was a fluke. The Panthers were the better team on the scoreboard and in the box score last night. I think the Stars are unstoppable, but I have been wrong so many times before. It’s great relaxing hockey for me now at least!

To have White and Holiday as your 4th and 5th best player is insane. From a talent alone standpoint it's one of the most talented teams ever assembled in NBA history. So if the Olay to their potential, they will win the Championship. But you're right. The Wolves make me nervous. Because their top dog has something that our top dog doesn't, "a meanness to him, and he wants to destroy the other team and could care less about being friends with them. It's one of the many reasons why Larry Bird was so great. Terrible athlete, but super skilled, and he was coming for the other players souls!

@alex79suited they are built for speed and showed it this past game. The only 4 teams left are of course the healthiest teams. Wolves, Dallas, and Pacers are all basically 100%. Celtics need to get Porzingis back it seems.

@alez79suited! Good to see one of my favorites still hanging around. Game 2 is enormous. If the Celtics can win that, they just need to split in Indiana, and then this could be a gentleman's sweep. But that's easier said than done against this Pacer team. Although this Celtics group are Road Killers. 18-7 on the road in the last 3 Playoffs. Pretty good!

You are right about Pasta, I’ve yet to see him take over a series, if anything he tends to disappear, the puck seems to bounce off his stick and not in a good way. The Bruins have a lot of decisions to make, do they pursue Elias Lindholm? Or do they wait until next year when Draisaitl is available next season?
