The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology
Приєднався 19 кві 2012
It began as an idea around a kitchen table, where a few dreamers dared to imagine a new kind of theological and psychological training. Today, our mission of training people to be competent in the study of text, soul, and culture to serve God and neighbor through transforming relationships is embodied in our graduate school and seminary, the Allender Center, and the Center for Transforming Engagement. Our graduate degree programs include:
- Master of Counseling Psychology
- Master of Theology and Culture: The Arts
- Master of Theology and Culture: Community Development
- Master of Theology and Culture: Ministry
Whether you are interested in a full graduate degree program, short but intensive certificates or conferences, or a brief, focused evening lecture, we offer programs to fit your needs and schedule. You can visit our website at www.theseattleschool.edu or email a member of our Admissions team at admissions@theseattleschool.edu to start a conversation today.

Mental Health and Board Games - War Of Whispers
In this video, Dr. Kelsey Wallace joins Paul and Jermaine for a game of "War of Whispers," sparking a rich conversation about the identities we assume while playing games and how structure impacts engagement. Their discussion draws connections between RPGs, "Game of Thrones," and the layered experiences of game play, focusing on the crucial role that rules and structures have in framing how players interact with one another. They challenge the viewers to reflect on the liminal space between the "game-self" and the "player-self," exploring how games position individuals in these overlapping realms. This conversation opens up broader reflections on the meaning of identity in games, whether through role-playing or strategy, and how games provide a unique venue for self-reflection and social dynamics.

Переглядів 509Рік тому
"I don't think anyone should say yes to Christianity without also saying no. And I don't think anyone should just say no without also trying to discern the things that are worth saying yes to. And I hope that this event will allow us to hold space for the mixture between yes and no, that each of us has to negotiate looking back on our history, looking on what Christianity represents in today's ...

Nicole, I cannot thank you enough for this video. I am in Austin and starting a masters in couples and family therapy. I am wondering if you think it’s better to seek to become an LPC or an LMFT.

This was SOOOOO valuable to me. Thank you ❤
Star Wars: Rebellion!!! Nah, I think Paul H should bring Crescent Moon sometime. My win condition is having a good time of solid and competitive interaction where all people feel included and are having a good time despite what's written on the scoreboard.
I love Small World, with some parts of the Power Pack 1 expansion 🙂
Great video 😊thank you 😊
This was great. Thank you so much.
thank you for this!! so helpful!
Thank you.
Thank you for this helpful video ❤
Can the internship be paid? Would those hours count?
Very informative & beautiful video!
I really appreciate this information. I’m currently in graduate school and I really didn’t have any knowledge of what the next steps were after graduation. This hasn’t been taught in school so I truly appreciate it!
Such a well done video. I’m at the waiting stage of licensure, but still found this so informative.
Thank you!
Can i major in social work in undergraduate school. Then pursue a masters in counseling? Or do I have to switch to psychology major.
Best information I've seen so far! Thank you
Why does a social work degree require 940 hours of internship while a counselor one only requires 250 😢
I'm currently in college to become a counselor. Im in Internship II and in my state (WV) we are required 750 hours. Social work hours are actually not as much. It varies state to state.
This was so helpful. Thank you for the information. I aspire to be either a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. 💖
Is Seattle Worth Saving ?
Does supervisory HAVE to be someone I pay out of my pocket? I see where they charge $500 a month for the 2-3 years doing the clinical hours. I can’t find anyone who addresses this issue.
I love this video. It's so helpful and the way you talk through this stuff is both helpful and calming. If there's more like this on the channel I'm about to subscribe
finding your videos very helpful thanks for putting these togwther
Love 3practices and love differences. I agree with so much of what you all have said here. I don't agree that conservatives in Florida are against differences. I don't agree that it is an example of the worst place. I think it's important to represent people in a way that they feel understood. I don't sense that Florida conservatives would feel understood here. I understand that it's hard to cross the difference divide. However, it can be frustrating listening to you all talk all about differences and you only seem to care about crossing very specific difference divides that seem to align with your ideological beliefs...
The Three Practices have the potential of completely revolutionizing, reforming, and transforming for the better, our public discourse. If only our Congress and Executive branches of government would adopt The Three Practices the model for robust discussion and engagement rather than the adversarial mess it is today.
Thank you so much! This was so helpful and easy to understand. Also your shirt is cute!
This was great! Thank you.
So informative! Thank you!
I’m starting from ground zero.
Can anyone tell me if I live in the state or NC but I want to internship in Florida, does it affect me being able to use those hours to count towards a NC license?
Hi I believe your school can help you. Also the veterans affairs I believe have virtual internships. Also look up if Florida accepts NC accreditation which will make it easier.
Thank you so much for this! I am beginning this process and feeling so overwhelmed. This is exactly what I needed to know. I appreciate the resources and encouragement so much.
Really helped me look and think of things differently into more depth for my interest in the psyc. field
Nice one. Wonderful message. I love marketing therapist. Marketing for people who care.
i am currently an English teacher in China and am considering Mental Health Counseling ... I have a B.A. can I get a masters online to qualify? thank you
Can you help me become a counselor? Dealing with problem kids.
I agree, I had many questions and created a guidebook for these purposes. ua-cam.com/video/WbOn7kq09nY/v-deo.html
This is soo validating and encouraging! such important work we all must actively engage in to really move towards change and a more wholesome way of existing with each other and all living creatures on this earth <3 Thank you soo much for taking the time to create this tool.
Love this video
Very sad that so little people now about this opportunity to listen to such lectures, especially about Dr. Stanley Grenz!!! Please, share it further:)!!!

0:45 I thought the great salt lake was a piece of lint on my screen
I don't normally leave comments but this was the most informative, understandable, down-to-earth explanation of becoming a licensed mental health counselor not just in Washington but for the whole United States. Definitely helped me understand which route I want to take. Thank you.
Right I’m having to start making graduate school plans and I feel like it is very daunting this just reassured me so much that like I can do this! I agree this video was so informative and easy to process
I agree with you! Tangela Howard
I’m from the USA originally but I’ve been living in Australia and Europe for the last 6-7 years. I’m wanting to do a grad cert in counselling but if/when I move again I know I’ll have to jump through a bunch of hoops to be certified wherever I go next. Does anyone have any recommendations for a gal with itchy feet trying to get going down this path?
thank you for this video.
Greetings & <3 to all my old friends from Seatac, & from your former security chief - unofficial of course! - Steev
