Hello, did you find a solution also going through the same problem,, missing wifi and bluetooth on my elite desk 800 G3 SFF

It's semi-open round the back. I took bottom cover panel off to get rid of dust. The tolex vinyl covering is actually, originally "Marshall Purple!!". Around bottom of cabinet are lots of chips from moving about. And these chips and tolex have been painted black so maybe someone decided to paint whole thing black.. But.. Where silver inlay stripes are at top, they don't have any black paint on so could factory have painted it black for some reason, maybe they ran out of normal dark green or black and used a bit of purple tolex up. I am going to see if I can remove this black paint and take it back to purple.. Haze😊

I now have Intel 8265NGW WLAN card recognised by system BUT.. Not working as it doesn't like the last up to date driver (that it should work with!). Getting this 8265NGW card into device manager was like using windows 95/98..Sometimes nostalgia can be fun but come on Microsoft and Intel I'm. Not. Trying. To. Fly. To. The. Moon😮

I took Intel 8265NGW out and rebooted then reinstall but no change. Also the way the card connects to socket is a bit odd as, until screwed down it sticks up at about 20 degrees and screwing it down is flexing the pcb plastic. Is this normal? In 26 years of computer building etc I've never seen this before. It's as if the connector wires are to tight or just bad design..

This link is to a good and thorough guide to try get WLAN card installed. It didn't work for me however and I will assume I may have faulty WLAN card but I will unplug it, boot, off, reinstall, boot and see if that fixes problem. In meantime I have been sent a USB WiFi dongle by priority post, DPD, in less than 24 hours, so thanks for that.. It's refurbished by Amazon unit. Has Windows 10 Pro installed. The WLAN card is present but doesn't show up. I've installed the HP diagnostic tool and that also can't "see" it. Any help would be appreciated... Or is the WLAN card just not working?
