Both the kameo system and the time travel bs took me out of the game completely. Learning combos and different characters is a pain in the ass now, and the stakes aren't there anymore. I'm so disappointed with this game.

Maybe they should have made this game in a way Liu Kang was actually unable to create his wonderful timeline, as a fresh lesser god, he would have failed in such immense task intended for titans. He would go mad, his universe would be disastrous and glitching and all characters remember their previous lives and would hate Liu Kang for their lives being his failed experiment.

You keep saying that Subzero and Scorpion are nemeses... but that hasn't been true since MK II? Scorpion became the guardian for Sub Zero II after noticing they weren't the same person. Granted, I didn't play the 3D era. Did they roll back that ending?

I loved it get on board or stop playing. Finally introduced my kids to MK and they had a blast playing it. If you don’t find joy in it, you’ve outgrown the game.

I guess I didn't pay that much attention lol. I wonder how they are going to approach with this expansion. The reason being is that Bi Han is transformed into Noob Saibot. So I wonder if Kuai Liang becomes Subzero and Hanzo becomes a younger Scorpion or maybe there's a time jump.

When I saw the full story of MK1, at the first half I was like "Ok I kinda like these new versions of the classic characters!" untill the Evil Sindel Fight happened. From that point on I was feeling like I was watching EndGame all over again.

Well good valid points on the failure to do good story work there is a giant plot opportunity that was completely destroyed by the DLC announcement. Noob should not be Sub-Zero in this timeline; it should be the corrupted soul of The Great Kung Lao. 1. If you remember the DLC from Aftermath where you pick Lui Lang, he states to Kung Lao as follows: "I have CHOSEN you to be Earthrealm's Champion." Chosen. Not earned like Raiden at the Wushu Academy over Kung Lao, Johnny Cage and Kenshi. 2. Sub-Zero does not need to die and could yield a massive rivalry with Scorpion. Especially with the wedding sequence? His bride to be being murdered by his brother in front of him? Sounds like a story arc you can carry for a few games. 3. Let's say for a second both versions of Kung Lao have the same special moveset; Noob does as well. The portal maneuvers are essentially the same for Lao's teleport and the hat just replace with the shadow clone. 4. It could set up a backstory game where you could play as The Great Kung Lao going through a whole cast of new characters. Make it entirely like Konquest Mode...

I just don't understand what people want from this franchise. It's always been a mess and MK1 is one of the better MK games. I swear, haters want MK1 to walk their dogs and give their kids a ride to school. Everyone's like, "I had to spend $10 on my purple Quan Chi underpants!" It's like, stfu and play some Mortal Kombat. Who cares? MK1 is arguably the most undeservingly hated videogame I've ever experienced. I'm not even exaggerating.

I play MK1 every night and it's one of my favorite MK games. The launch was rough but all the sauce is there. What blows my mind about the endless droning criticisms of this game is the only thing suggested otherwise are obviously SF6 or Tekken 8. Okay.... but what if you wanna play some Mortal Kombat? See, that's the thing - I own all 3, they're all great, and if I want to play some MK, I'll play MK1. People have been going on and on about how horrible this game is for a year. Take it from me: it's actually pretty dope and it's not light there's a plethora of better options at the moment. If you want to play the best modern fighting games you could play Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, or... MK1. Don't let these UA-camrs brainwash you, and if you won't take my word for it, check out user reviews! They're all super closely rated, giving SF6 and T8 the slight advantage, but not the landslide the actual hundreds of UA-cam hate videos would lead you to believe.. And MK1 outsold them all.. so it's actually beating all the "competition" (Shhh, the FGC elitists are listening!).. Go figure. Now commence with episode 446,447,970 of mindlessly hating MK1 (MK1 is deeeeeaaaaaad) ~ I play it every day.

Some of the physical design changes were an improvement but honestly every singe change they made to the characters was half baked and screamed “I’m Woke”. The whole story felt forced. They’re spitting in the face of their long time fans and core audience. It’s really not surprising that this game isn’t selling worth a fk. Edit: also, anyone notice how they’ve completely gotten rid of most of the white characters with design changes?

We didn’t get havoc once since the new series started with the ps3 reboot. He was only on the ps2 games. The one time we get him in modern gaming and it’s in a trashed game. I’d loved Mortal Kombat since I was 6 years old. I own almost all of them. I’m so disappointed in this game and will probably never buy that. Which kills me bc I’ve always wanted to own every MK on a disc and I have them but I’m not giving Warner BROs a dime for this horrible games

The things that are actually wrong with the way assist are in this game you literally don’t mention. Stick to the casual side and not gameplay stuff you literally don’t know why that assist system in this game are bad compared to other games that offer this. This is such a casual perspective

The storyline is terrible and there are so many problems. Why Earthrealm could use only one champion against Outworld. In the end the villains from another timeline appear and fight the new timeline they made 😂😂😂
