If KI could do this (which let's be honest they are not going to), have where there can be a lot of benefits to people who want to be a member, and those that don't can just play the game without a paywall, cause at this point its just worthless to be a member and play the game, it doesn't feel rewarding at all. Its more like "Oh... well here's a membership that you have to pay to play the game to get access." Like its so dumb, you see many F2P games that don't do that, especially for those that have questionable business practices and targets the market towards children. Its sick and stupid of KI. I want to play W101, but the paywall just keeps me from playing it.

As someone who bought the Undersea enchantment bundle, I’m here to argue in its defense as it actually holds up to the Spooky Carnival Robe. A more defensive alternative? Sure. But OoOoohhh only 1% less outgoing. Trust me, as a Life that’s nothing really big, the resist I can kinda understand, but the -25% incoming for 6 whole rounds is really insane. Tbh it’s saved my runs more times than I can count. If you can’t get your hands on the Carnival robe, in my honest opinion, go for this one. It’s great. And if you don’t believe me, just look up the stats and compare for yourself.

KI Situation Just Got Worse

Things haven't been the same since KI was sold a few years back. It seems to be more about them than us, the players. I've been playing for over 10 years, and it's not as fun as it used to be.

anyone who has ever read a comment by me knows I call out KI all the time and while I agree with your video largely. We have seen very few times with all benefits running together. ending bundle- a - poloza many years ago annoyed me but KI prefer to have all of nothing than half of something. I used to buy house bundles at 25/50% off regularly each year. I do not remember the last time I purchased a house. regular sales, meant saving ahead but nowadays beyond member costs, i spend little. Devs actively do not give a fudge about what we players think, ignore us, why spend more than membership? I loved buying houses on offer but that was then.

You can just make an alt spend 260 crowns for a reset hatch timer and 2x xp for an hour. It's not that expensive. EDIT: On the same Account* I have been able to make pets whenever I felt like it and get the 2x XP potions whenever I felt like it.

Damn, you sound emotional. None of us want the game to die but it seems to be going down a slippery slope. I remember having a lot of fun with this game, now its all about profit. (talk about the crown rewards event)

Sorta holiday related but I don’t hear this talked about ever: I look forward to the Veteran’s Day item every year. W101 is the only game I know of that actively participates on a regular basis that ISNT JUST A DISCOUNT and that fact alone should receive praise. For their faults that’s one reason I’ve stood by and fought for this game to get its act together. They have their hearts in the right place but they need to evict their current brain worm soon

KI definitely could be running more member benefits at the same time. Realistically, I don't see any reason as to why they aren't running all of them for a long time. I feel like that would be a good reason to convince more people to purchase a membership during this time of the year. Unfortunately, the palooza sales had to go despite how great they were for the community. Joel and Greg said in the discord that despite inflation constantly raising prices, Joel had to sacrifice certain deals such as the pack-a-palooza and the bundle-a-palooza in order to prevent the prices of memberships from rising, which I think is pretty fair. I would imagine that if people in the community saw membership prices raise along with inflation, the game would would begin spiraling to it's death.

they don't want to actually improve the game, they're just trying to make as much money as possible. They've killed school identity, something that was integral to the game. Ruined the bazaar, to crush a community built thing like the EMP black market instead of actually trying to improve player trading. I wish a better company could buy wizard101 to save it, the future for this game doesn't look bright and it's so sad because I love this game.

Saw Ratbeard call a player a "garbage sweat" for being on the 1st page of the PvP leaderboards in Wizard101 discord PvP channel today 😂. Seems like the professionalism between ACTUAL KI game employees and its playerbase is nonexistent. Ive NEVER seen any gaming company EVER communicate with its playerbase (let alone at all for that matter so directly) be extremely disrespectful. Regardless of his tone. The game is dying and these new employees seem to just not care and have accepted their new system of milking as much out of its remaining playerbase before they call it quits in a couple years.

i was thinking of getting back into this game after not playing for a few years but seems like now isnt a great time to play.. such a shame, really hope things improve soon

The game is still physically here, but spiritually it died a long time ago.

ngl KI should either fix the pack rates or bring back discounts because at this point almost nobody's gonna want to buy packs, much less bundles. I got 30% off with the mystery discount and got absolutely nothing from my school or anything I remotely wanted with 5,000 crowns even while not going for mounts. I've only bought 1 month of membership 4 times over 7 years so I'm pretty casual but it's still disheartening. The discount and small gift of crowns was nice but with how horrible the rates are it's so lackluster.

This is literally just talking about what Gamego does with any game they bought. Just google them and look at all the games they bought into. People said "omg Gamego is reviving Pirates101 and Wizard101 is adding cool stuff to the game" Now, people complain about what marketing stuff has been done. People were told this would happen and they all said it wouldn't. yet, here we are.

Everyone seems to forget that MGI(Gamigo) bought this game not too long ago. Immediately after, all the paloozas and extra crowns sales stopped happening, and the game became a lot more money-oriented(i.e. Guild features being EXTREMELY hard to access, raid gear being buyable with crowns, etc).

KI is stupid, dumb, that's it! They do not care about investing on the long run, they're just milking this game!

It’s never sat right with me that usually ~9 out of the 12 “days of the spiral” are just new stuff in the crown shop. It’s not even gifts to appreciate the players. It’s just more stuff to buy.

I really hope KI gets a wake up call before they pull their own plug.

You're making solid points. Felt this as a veteran playing from almost the beginning. The devs and the management is very incompetent. I don't know what the future of this game is especially with the dumpster fire the last few months have been for this game.

KI is the physical embodiment of greed. They're literally Krampus, they take, take, take from their players every year without giving anything in return. It's a shame because I absolutely got hooked on this game when I was a kid. I'm a college student now and I truly love this game. All I want is to see this game flourish, but KI is digging it's grave and honestly makes me very sad.

I think the Wiz awards were great! If yall would have me id love to be involved in them and help out with them next year. Maybe have it in front of an in game audience, more categories like “Wiz video of the year” “Upcoming creator of the year” stuff like that.

At level 100, you can only get the 9% pierce jewels so we can probably only have 98% power pip, also, where are we supposed to socket the second jewel to get the 98% power pip? Since it’s a triangle slot.
