How to DIY a Fire Pit
Переглядів 1,5 тис.7 років тому
This video shows how Dean built his own Fire Pit using large slabs of stone
How do you make sure the line is level so that when I attach it on the other end it is perfectly level and not down 1/2" or so?
This doesn't mean its a complete straight line because the line appears to be straight it could be too high or low on one side that's why there is a line level, string can look so straight till start putting up 6' pickets only to find out after putting up so many of them there becomes a dip on one side especially when putting a 5' level on top of the pickets it's crucial to use line level I found out the hard way by never thinking the line looks straight being most cases it's not.
Almost rectangle but one way long not 4 by 2here note
Lol! This is great!
thank you
A real teacher, thanks 👍
Thank you!
And when it doesn’t measure correctly? You seem to gloss over that part lol
BLESS YOU lol
one of the better videos ive seen however how do you determine the line isnt higher on one end than the other especially if the ground isnt level?
Thx
Yes test is authentic
But theres a gap bro
Love all your suggestions. Thank you. I do have a question. Our flames are blue. How do we get yellow and orange flames like yours? Our cabin is up 8,000 ft. Could that be the reason? Love your suggestions please. Thanks.
Hey- I have a propane fire table that I converted to natural gas. The flame all but disappeared! I went and got salt chunks from my water softner because I remember from chemistry class that sodium emits bright yellow light. After they warm up the flame color is pretty nice
Log sets have a specific placement as tested for the UL rating.
Had one and hated it.. Bought a GAS stove and it cooks so much better.
can exterior T-31/32?? plywood siding be considered adequate for shear wall requirements ?
Great down to earth understandable instruction video thanks .
Can you please send me the link for the Bluetooth speaker you use for the crackling sound?
Thanks for sharing!
You, my friend... and Ms. Tina, *_ ROCK!_* Love your shows and "thanks for taking MY CALL on September 3, 2023 -Poe On "The North Coast of America"... _-The Great Lakes Region~~~~~~~~~_
Talks to his audience like they are six year old. "Theme" music is untolerable. Like to see him tranform the "persian poop palace."
From your comment, Bennie, you appear as a six-year-old~ LMBO *_First of all, it's "intolerable"_* I could go on, but I think you're late for kindergarten!
@@stanleypoe7393 untolerable (Webster 1913) P-stain: From your comment you are "very easy amused." P.S. Second of all, America does not have a "North Coast." Fact.
@benfranklin1039 "Back to school" now, si _r! "INtolerable"~ There IS NO word such as untolerable except with_ in your pea brain. Next: "very EASILY amused" (that should've been covered in grammar school, bennie) Next: When at or "on" any of America's Great Lakes, *you are indeed* "on the north coast". Now it's nap time in kindergarten, bennie. Find your blanket and lie down _ (and it's not lay down) _ *Next week:* A trip through "grammar school for Dummies"~~~
@@stanleypoe7393 Untolerable is a less common variation of the word intolerable. Have Dean "mansplain" it for you. Should take less than ten minutes.
When putting up a new fence and you have one post on each end, how do you make sure those first two posts are lined up?
What an amazing father, instructor, and hombre:)
Best paint
These tips are only applicable to vented gas logs in a wood burning fireplace. Please don't do this with a vent free set. You will have a big mess and possible health hazards.
Thanks for helping me remember a notion that I already learned....but forgot 😉🙏
Just what I was looking for....scoured the internet for this information and all was lacking....thank you!
I'm a building design student and this was really well explained and informative. It gave me a visual of the things I was learning but couldn't picture. Thank you.
I appreciate this simple and necessary lesson!
Would love to see possible ways to adjust and fix things IF they come out not square.
I’m sorry but something about the way this guy talks makes me feel like he’s talking out of his ass, you cannot tell me that was for measuring hieroglyphs when it looks exactly like what I would imagine an ancient string line would look like. People think about ancient Egyptians as cavemen when they were no different from us. Sure we have more advanced tools and knowledge of the world, but I’ll never, ever be convinced that anything the Egyptians built was humanly impossible and they had some kind of spooky ancient alien help.
Wonderful for you to share your teaching withe Boop!
dammit…! I made it to 5x!? oh well guess i’ll have to start again..😢
well explained! thanks!
Amazing!
I'm glad we passed that law. And, that I watched this video.
Completely agree! Neat invention.
Wow. This is exactly what I needed to know! (Also, your Boop is VERY cute.) Great video - I'm off to look at your other videos.
You definitely get more power from the Glass Top Electric over Gas, It is just harder to control, and slower to Heat Up, But once it is hot, It beats gas in terms of Sheer Power. Unless you use propane or have a crazy large Wok Setup, Glass to Electric will get you much more heat because the heat transfer is so much more efficient. As someone who made the jump to Induction, I am always very disappointed when I have to use Gas or Coil Electric as they are just so weak, the only exception is the burner on my propane grill, but Propane packs over 2x the power of Natural Gas. I see why restauraunt chefs prefer gas and induction, because the responsiveness is better, and they are making many dishes in smaller quantities, vs a home chef making large amounts of the same item to eat throughout the week(which electric does better at). Gas does have its pros, but heating Power isn't it.
Thank you sooo much- this is exactly what I needed 🤗 you have been a wealth of knowledge-I really appreciate you and watch as much as possible
DING DONG WITHYOU AND THIS VIDEO BUB!
Love this, where did you get that style gimbal?
I am 66 years old and I wish I leaned this 40 years ago. Never too late, though. Thank you for posting this very informative video. Well done in every aspect.
i love this video and i love trees
I worked on induction welders 20 years ago and it was not new even then...still I will stick with gas, I will leave this for the next generation
Thank you so much for this!!!
If all I cared about is boiling water quickly then I would purchase induction, but gas cooking is still an overall better cooking experience even if it doesn’t boil water as quickly.
True but you'll never see restraunt going induction. Something about gas makes food taste better.
THANK YOU!!! Exactly what I was looking for. You are a great teacher! :)
