Guys, please don't format your captions one word after the other. This is NOT readable and is nauseating to look at.

works ok with short stuff, Tried a 70 min video - no chance, just crazy word salad or even better: the line Thanks for watching 200 times. I did have the text in German which had to be translated into English. Maybe that was/is part of the problem. BTW forget the small model - only with the biggest one 2,3 GB you have a chance. Unfortunately Brian does not include an important hint: you have t open the index window in FCP click on rolls and activate in my case English. Otherwise the captions don't show in the timeline. Unfortunately Brian also did not respond to my question to him. Would I recommend this app to a friend ? Yes but with the add on: be patient, google a lot, have mercy and don't try to produce captions for a long piece in one shot. Segment the film and then be patient fiddling the captions in the right place,,,

How do you get it to be more accurate? It doesn't match after the first 10 seconds. it lags and I have good audio I use a DJI Mic 2 and still doesn't work.

I bought this shit and it stopped working, you guys aren't going to fix it, are you? I asked for the money back and they didn't give it back either.

Mine now has issues with adding spaces before punctuations. It also breaks up certain works with spaces, making it unusable. Any ideas?

I bought this program and it is not working. Sent 3 e mails without any reply.

I basically took $20 and wiped my ass with it. Total worthless program.

hi Brian - how do you eradicate the gaps between apostrophes, full stops and the the like - its takes me more time to fix the spaces of the things than actually edit the footage. is there ability to remove these from the export

I’ve been enjoying Captionator, but would love to be able to also export a .srt to easily have captions to upload elsewhere! Sometimes my really long videos don’t import the fcpxml.

This was a deal breaker. Now that I have figured out captionator I will stick with FCP. I love using FCP and will use it now that I have this caption generator. I was going to give up on FCP and beat myself down with Premier Pro....Thanks!

I'm a beginner and have some issues with it. Words with apostrophes are separated, e.g "you" + " 'll " instead of you'll. Also, dots and commas are generated as separated titles. Is it something that can be adjusted in the settings?

When I download the app and open it, I don´t see the window that you show us and I can not install it for Final Cut so it don´t appear in FC. Every time i copy and past the titles into the timeline it dumps all the titles to the left of the playhead in the magnetic timeline. I cant drag them over the top of the clip either. I get this error message when exporting Captions_2024-01-22T09_58_32.fcpxml Encountered an unexpected value. Capcut is still the way to go, fcpx is outdated, captionator even with whisper from reading all complaints is useless, i barely have any issues with capcut

Ive been using cap cut, so I edit in Fcpx then export and import video in cap cut and it works great
