Commenting here to clarify. This video was meant to be a cute way to free parents from the stress and guilt that can come with Christmas. You don't have to buy your children expensive gifts. Simple gifts can be just as enjoyable. I don't care if you buy expensive gifts. If you want to then go for it. Merry Christmas. But, if you are stressed out and full of guilt because you can't then please know you don't have to.

Unless you’re actually canning. Then by all means buy them. Botulism is real.
This isn't meant for canning purposes, of course. There are special lids that people purchase that are unnecessary when using jars to simply store stuff in. Thanks for your comment.
That's fine to hold your screws and nuts. Do not can with those though. Those are plastic lids and they will melt. They are not airtight. You will get botulism poisoning. You will not pass go. You will not collect $200
Great point! Definitely do NOT can with these lids. A lot of people pay good money for canning jar covers though. These are great substitutes. I have a lot of stuff I keep in my jars other than just canning with them. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
