Second NDP vid for this year wew.
For the second one,is mainly for SMRT Buses only as well,I am a fan of SMRT 😅 and like the other years,I use the past years theme for it.
This year,I decided to give a twist in the vid by adding parts of our legendary era of AMDEP back in SMRT days as to remember where the roots of SMRT Buses/Trans Island came from (and a little hint of SLBP 2024 if anyone one noticed 👀)

2 more facts of the site: 1) Whitley was built on flat land, 1/2 of Swiss Cottage was built on a slope. 2) the road in/out of Whitley is along Whitley road (where the entrance to SCGS are) and not Dunearn Rd.
Alright the flat land is correct But the actual area of the original Whitley is located between Whitley Rd and Durean Rd (near the junction) And although it looks similar (due to 1960's design)
Correction, the first building is actually the old site of Swiss Cottage Secondary School. It moved to Bukit Batok in later 1/2 of 1992. The old Whitley Secondary School building was completely demolished and current SCGS was built on top of it. Nothing remained of the old Whitley Secondary School. =) Both Swiss Cottage and Whitley are built in the same era and both of split image of one another, with Swiss Cottage having a bigger compound towards the back of the school due to “Technical Blocks”, which are jointly used by Swiss and Whitley boys for wood, plastic and metal workshops. The vibes are similar. PS the old Whitley building sits at the place where the current SCGS sports facilities are. In between Whitley and Swiss Cottage there were no fence and was a big big grass field. Can often see Whitley and Swiss Cottage boys doing “standoffs” in the field for “stupid reasons”.
Hi,well is actually a no cause the original Whitley bulding was later on passed to another school with the same building and it still stands today(despite it being not in used/stand by) And no,Swiss Cottage wasn't mentioned within that area at all
Okay note,Swiss Cottage is the one facing the main Whitley Rd,the old Whitley Secondary School is the one facing Durean Rd (as of MOE,is near the junction)
@@arfanfiras4565 Har? erm.... anyway.... coming from an old Swiss Cottage guy who graduated in 1992. I can only say the 1st building you took is Swiss Cottage Secondary School, which later became the site for a Chinese international school (Heng He International) that did not take off. As shared, Whitley Secondary School was completely torn down and SCGS build on top of it.

Nice!!! Furthermore, this NEW Bus Interchange opened APPROXIMATELY A MONTH after the official opening of TEL4 on 23 June!
This also means, SMRT has been operating double decker buses for 10 years already. Anyway, hopefully they would bring in some ADL E500 into the Jurong West Bus Package when they take over in September. After all, Soon Lee Bus Depot only cannot accommodate bendy bus only, but definitely able to accommodate any double decker bus. If the ADL E500 can come to Jurong West, and permanently deploy on the feeder routes, or the intra-town trunk routes like 185, that would really be a great bus model upgrade.

Full of nonsence, since the bus travels to CCK and passes by Jalan Bahagia, near cemetry. That does not mean the bus is haunted. So, the ghosts board the bus from cemetry site and alights before its leave CCK heading towards the city?? have some sence. Even the ghosts in OLD CHANGI HOSPITAL, has left the place to a better place like Orchard Road, shopping.
