ghost doll late but I think it's just that they were stalking her and broke in and tried on her clothes. I think Sarah's Dad caught them which is the reason they got arrested (I think, I'm not entirely sure.) In the end of the cowboy song you hear them talking about a dress and the Dad bursts in.
