It's so incredibly awesome of you to have such a deep reflection about yourself and to tell our goat world about it. I can't find any good words to express how much your words touched me. I've got two friend who have adhd diagnosed and what you said remind me a lot of them. I hope you have some great time writing your book and I definitely want to hear about your writing process, because I'm writing too. So just as an idea, if you still have fun producing videos too, how about making some videos about your book or writing process? I would watch it! And the people who are just here for the ygo content would leave after some time. But maybe they don't, because they're interested in the things you do ;)

The part about being obsessive with hobbies is very relatable. I’m also diagnosed with adhd; I came back to the game after 7 years and played MD for 3 days straight with a troll chain burn deck (cuz I didn’t have gems for anything better) and reached Master promos 2 times. It was not worth it, but the hype of reaching Masters after returning was too much.

Honestly life is all about balance it's sad to see you step away but happy if you can achieve that healthy life balance. I used to be just like you and to be at the peak you really need to invest time

I greatly appreciated the insights you offered, and your run with your fairy deck was probably the most inspiring thing I’ve seen in the format in my limited time of playing it so far. It gave me genuine faith that there are spicier strategies out there that can be viable.

This video described a lot of the reasons why I've struggled to start making my own UA-cam content. I haven't been diagnosed with ADHD but ever since I was a kid my interests have always come in "cycles" where I hyperfixate on one thing at a time for a month or two before moving on to something else, and as a result all of my video ideas probably wouldn't mesh very well on one channel. All of this is to say I totally relate and I hope you find a direction that works best for you!

I remember when we play on the ladder for the first time it was right after your warriors guide video. I didn't realize you were a fellow penman, been writing and improving poetry for years now, been working at a University writing center and it's wonderful. Definitely feel you on hyper-fixating hobbies. Yugioh and RuneScape are the #1 culprits for me posing as major time sinks. But I totally get it and from what you described, we're pretty similar in that kind of "all or nothing" approach to life. I quit YGO in 2019 'cause I started with my studies and I knew that it wouldn't be possible for me to do both. Towards the end of my studies I got more interested in Goat Format, partly because of your videos, which ultimately led me to start playing again once I finished my studies. i know we'll still stay in touch my friend, but your innovative mind will absolutely be missed in goat. you say you don't have yugioh talent, but i think that's bs lol - maybe when it comes to actual gameplay there's a bit of a gap compared to the top players, but your talent lies elsewhere - in the deck creation phase. you think of strategies and combinations no one else considers, and that is an incredible talent in and of itself. your impact on this format will not be forgotten -- i still remember how many people were playing fairies on ladder after you topped haha. as you mentioned in a previous video (and what i consider to be one of the most important goat format vids ever made), mastering a specific competitive rogue strategy gives you an inherent advantage over the Nth turbo duelist, and i think a lot of players took that to heart and the format is a lot better for it <3

That's unfortunate, but do what you gotta do. I totally understand not having much balance for other hobbies- hits me at times. Your impact with Fairies in Goat will forever be felt. Cheers!
