Insights Into A Parent's Experience Of Extreme Alienation - Charlie interviews Sara Ann Brown
Charlie McCready, Parental Alienation Coach, interviews Sara Ann Brown about her experience of extreme Parental Alienation. Sara has been denied access to her son for a number of years and has had to endure gross injustice as the entire legal system and police force have failed, and even been complicit in keeping her away from her son.
Sara's ex used his position as a police officer to harass and stalk her as part of alienating her son. He even went to far as to tell their son that his mother (Sara) was dead, whilst still continuing to receive child maintenance from her.
Hear all the details about Sara's extreme experience in this podcast.

Thanks Charlie and Sara ,great chat + yes you have both validated whats the absolute number one + most important thing + that is to hold your Creator at the centre of your life as there's not one fellow human on this planet no matter how good they are that has the power to get us through this pain we experience during this journey we've found ourselves on. We must understand Parental alienation is not just a misunderstanding between two people it is the full blown force of pure evil. Yes prayer is critical + though faith doesn't take away pain it does give it a different meaning.

Someone shared this quote with me recently. "Imagine being bitten by a snake 🐍 and instead of focusing on healing from the poison, you chase the snake to understand why it bit you and to prove you didn't deserve it" We need to accept what has happened, realise that none of it was our fault, heal from the trauma, hold on to hope, and be ready for when our children return.

Thank you for sharing your story cessey and also thank you too Mr McCready. I can feel your and your mum pain. Because I have been alienated from my boys for past 16 months and they are very young when they were 5 and 8 years old. I am still fighting the battle to prove that my boys have be manipulated but no authorities believe me because even my children started saying I don't want to see my mother. It's like dying every day with false accusations even though I have never have bad intentions towards my children and their father. But I believe in God he will give back my children. I would say no children should be separated from their father or mother they need both their parents. Now a days humans are selfish being but no matter what they will pay the price of doing harm to others. Very brave God bless you and your mother relationship❤

Thank you so much for watching. I am so sorry to hear about your situation. It breaks my heart. I can assure they are being extremely manipulated. I said the same things to appease my father and his family. In combination of the severity of lying and how easily children are able to be manipulated, it is almost impossible to go against the alienated parent. The psychological abuse and torture you and your children are experiencing is completely immoral. Your children in time will see your good intentions in time like I have with my mother. Please keep fighting for them. Sending so much love and prayers to you and your family.

My mother consented to over 11 restraining orders to appease my father, who holds a powerful position as an oil lobbyist in Washington DC. My father’s lawyer was a former police instructor. I learned rouge police officers beat up my mom, and the incident reports were altered to hide the officers names. It’s truly terrible. Sending so much love and prayers to you and your family.

@ i am glad you’re healing and speaking out. Do you know if Madison Welbourne who runs the Anti Alienation Project? She has a group of formerly alienated kids now adults who chat in a way that helps everyone but those who deny alienation exists. The stories of rouge police are not surprising. The amount of effort by so many to keep me from my daughter blows my mind. The long arm of justice is very slow and I don’t know if my federal complaint will go anywhere or have any impact but for my journey towards sanity, it has been the most healing thing I have done for myself and I hope it helps others. Had I known now when this all began, I likely would have had a different outcome. Had I cited case law and instructed commissioners narrowly how they must rule based on statute and law, they would have had to follow the law but if you don’t direct them, then anything goes. If the stature of limitations for child abuse is not over, sue those who caused the damages pro se in federal court for torte based on “loss of consortium” doctrine principles and see what happens. I hope your mother is doing better. So sorry this happened to both of you. I hope my daughter is as brave as you are! THANK YOU for sharing. It makes a difference and you are helping others whether you meet or see them or not. Keep it up.

My alienated adult children brought me to trial 18 years after we were alienated accusing me of not wanting anything to do with them all those years and then saying to Justice carraccia in December 2021 how severally depressed they are, they have severe anxiety and cannot sustain a healthy relationship with any one including themselves and are suicidal just like you sweet child. My heart goes out to you and hope you heal with your mom. After 40 years l reunited with my father 5 years before he passed and l am grateful for every moment with him. I'm praying my 3 adult children will be able to step forward and be as brave as you. I was trapped by their father's lies and abuse for 30 years so l know my children will suffer from his abuse for a lifetime as well unless they break free. Blessings. Thank you

She and her friends all blocked me since reconnecting with my mother and standing up to my father. She has always stated, “Dad lies, we all know that, but there’s nothing we can do”. I think subconsciously as children of alienation we are aware but too afraid and brainwashed to stand up against the alienating parent. I hope and pray your daughter along with my sister will gain the strength to stand up against this abuse. Sending so much love and prayers to you.

"Absence is to love what wind is to fire; it extinguishes the small, it inflames the great." ― Roger de Bussy-Rabutin And there is no greater love, than that between a parent and child. These stories, of reconnection, are like stars in the night sky at sea, in ancient times. Guiding those caught up in this terrible, turbulent ordeal. It is important to document them. Some thought should be given to a documentary, or even a film, or perhaps a hybrid of these, involving real life situations. I'm happy to assist, with such a project, if there's interest, I'm a lawyer who helps people caught up in these cases, without payment.

Im confused. Our son has gone no contact with us after he graduated college and got engaged. Droped a bomb on us that we were both horrible parents. And he was done grieving us. We did nothing but support this kid for 32 years. I'm not being a victim I'm just angry and done trying to fight daily for my life to have him back in our lives. It's like banging my head against the wall when he doesn't answer my texts and she won't either or the phone. I've been to therapy over it none of it is helping. And if he came to the door tomorrow I can't imagine that I'd be able to drop it and say oh hey how you doing. Like I'm supposed to act like nothing happened. Bow down to his spoiled feet.. my husband actually gave him a family diamond from his family to get engaged and he turned around and kicked us in the teeth said he was done with us. He is an ICU nurse. And I honestly don't know how he can handle that job mentally. But whatever I just cry. daily like he's passed away. Real grief. He was not kicked out of this house until he was 28 years old and he kept bringing her to live here so I had enough. Now they live in a house with just them two in a dog. We had a great schedule set up where we would meet for dinner once a month then I had a stroke and we gave him our wills and that's when he cut us out of his lives. He has no plans on having children. Its been a year. Holidays are so hard.

I am sorry that you are having this experience. We do see this happen whereby the damage has been done by the alienator and even once they have abandoned the child, the rhetoric against us is so strong that they still do not want to have anything to do with us. In such instances, I advocate continuing to reach out to the child when opportunities present themselves and work on your own wellbeing and resilience. You being a good parent can never be taken away from you, despite whatever has happened

My daughter-in-law smeared me to my grandkids for 15 years. I did not realize the extent. She also turned my son against me b/c of some mistakes I made with him as a child. I always saw the grandkids but after her ignoring my text and trying to sabotaged my plans and reservations for activities with the grandkids for 15 years. They finally kicked me out of their lives and 1.5 years later, they are divorcing due to her multiple affairs. My son and I are re-connected. The older 3 teens (16-19) are living their own lives - devastates me that I missed out for 1.5 years (really the smear has been happening from birth) and now they, especially the 16-year-old are basically gone. This 1.5 years from the time the now 16yo was 14.5 I have lost any future with her for a long time, until hopefully she will break her mother's voodoo. When this grandchild 14.5 yo, I still had influence, but at 16 I do not. I've been reconnected with the 1 and 7-year old, but mother is doing the same with them. This disorder has been transmitted to varying degrees to all the grandkids. My daughter-in-law has turned and is turning every child and anyone she could and can against my son now. Listening to you has really helped me b/c when I got reunited, I had very unreal expectations. In reality, this will be a lifelong thing. The great relationships I saw with each grandchild, basically being the same, is now changed to individual relationships b/c each one has been traumatized by their mother and have no clue. They have picked up on some of the manipulating behaviors and as long as they are in relationship with their mother and/or showing manipulating behaviors themselves, my relationship will be censored. Even when I talk with a grandchild alone...it is always as if I am speaking directly to their mother and we all know how any little innocent remark or mistake or just normal life -even good things - will be turned against me. There is no freedom. The only relationship I now have with the 3 older ones (2 from her first marriage, whom we all treated like blood.) is paying them for their school grades to show we still care. I will continue this b/c this is the absolute only connection I have right now, other than visits to my sons, when they may or may not be present and birthday and Christmas money.

Hi Amy, although there are changes in the brain its incredible plasticity means that other areas can compensate after specialist therapy and a more stable attachment environment. The webinar on this can be found at : ua-cam.com/video/znMol4GUKE8/v-deo.html There's also a great deal of research on how trauma affects childrens developing brains by Martin Teicher who confirmed to me that being triangulated by one parents against the other was bound to be neurologically harmful.

From my experience of an ailienated parent, I can't disagree more with the notion that ailienating parents are unaware of what they are doing and projecting their own issues/trauma. I have no doubt my ex knew exactly what he was doing - using the children to elivate himself by denegrating me. He wanted to hurt me in worst possible way and used our children to do so. Im sure my experience iss shared by the majority of targeted parents.

I know it seems unbelievable and the majority of cases are just as you describe but I have also done cases where the projected historical trauma has caused the problem has been so overwhelming that the parents have no conscious awareness of what they're doing. The dreadful effects on the other parent and the children are obviously the same, but specialist interventions have worked in bringing awareness to the alienating parents. Few and far between though.

Great conversation and advice. It takes so much patience to parent through this type of dynamic. It is so important to remember to not let the past dictate the future. Just subbed 👍

@charlie and Emma, are your children aware they were alienated? How did they figure it out? Do they have anything to say like Madi and the Anti-Alienation Project?

Exactly on target. I would say that you have perfectly summarized the situation for many of us going through this situation. Key words…”fear based relationship”. Really tragic that the alienator is usually the one with primary custody.

I enjoyed this. However, where is the data that you are getting regarding the AC wanting to AP as strong and happy? Until they become aware of the alienation -they only see the AP as fake, and awful. I understand the value of being strong and happy for oneself - but it seems counterintuitive to think that is what the AC wants/thinks. This might be a ME problem too. lol

I don't think only single moms are alienators, single dads unfortunately alienate too.

Alienation is non-gender in that both men and women can be the alienators, and both men and women can be the rejected parent.
