Have you got a link or model number for the autel scan tool you use?

Highly recommend replacing the turbo and actuator as a set. Replacing just the actuator will get you by for awhile but that vgt will start to lock up and when it does it will take out the new actuator too.

We just did a 4.OL. Replaced both sensors & short harness. We didn't see any shortcuts replacing the sensors. It would be entertaining to witness a full length, completed repair of both sensors being replaced without cyl. head removal.

So the reason the labor time is what it is, Is because in the service manual It tells you that you need to remove the heads to access the sensors. I couldn't believe it, which is why i went searching for an alternative. I'm not shocked in the least that there is a way to get these out without pulling the heads.

I have mx808 and its doing the same. It cant communicate with the control unit. My vehicle is 2018 ram 3500. Im connecting it to the ob2. And standard cable to the mx808. Any advice how to trouble shoot it

Watching this video literally made my day. I just finished up a head gasket Job on my 04 sport edition. Fart it up and of course i get a P0328 code for a bad knock sensor.I almost cried at the thought of having to tear down everything I literally just put back together. I’m going to have to have a try at my luck and see if I can’t replace the one that has gone bad. Might even try to replace both depending on if it’s even possible. Did Buick make a ' pickup' in 1930?? You carefully do not show the back of it ; If Buick did a commercial chassis, probably not with the sedan styling & chrome as yours. It was common to chop a sedan & make it a pickup especially just before & after the War. Nevertheless, it is a noble vehicle !.

Making sedans into trucks was very common in the 20's and 30's. I worked on a car built in 1914 that had been made into a truck around 1920 and was used as farm hack up till the late 1950's. It's an interesting part of western history.

I'm looking for a scan tool that will work with a 2019 Duramax in a one ton Silverado. I don't want to spend $400 on a scanner unless I know it will be compatible with my year model, since things seem to change so much year to year. Thanks!

Are you able to save the flow rates and program them into your Glow Plug Control Module GPCM? (Just FYI that is where they are backed up just incase your ECM has a stroke.)

my rpm needle is dancing at 2000-2500 rpm, the transmission doesn't receive enough power and is not shifting. I have replaced IPC, Injectors, Injector Harness. What FUEL pressure a DT4466E should have?

What all tests can you run with it? I've only used manufacturer diagnostic software, but this seems way quicker. I'm flat rate, so it makes sense to get this.

I am using a Snapon versus tool to program my LP5 cylinder 4 diesel injector and i kept getting function not performed correctly. I am putting the vehicle into service mode aswell ( hold ignition for 5 seconds) and still doesn’t work. Any advice?

That's some bull shit ,it's bad. You should take the heads off to get the antifreeze pipe out . I fought that pipe for hours and don't know if I can get it back on fml

Similar location to the 5VZ, the predecessor to this engine. I'm currently facing the same job on my 2000 Prado with the 5VZ.

Watched this cause I have never seen someone use an aftermarket tool for Flow Rate programming as I use GDS2 (GM tool). Just throwing this out there, in my experience it's best to change the injector connector also. They seem to be terrible with terminal tension and breaking terminals. Only injectors I've changed on the quite of few L5Ps is Cyl 4. Since the first one I did came back missing on cyl 4 and I noticed one terminal wouldn't even hold my test probe in it while being upside down, I've changed connectors also. That connector has no support like the others. An older Duramax (LLY?) had a tsb and a kit that was to change 2 injector connectors and add support tabs for them to prevent terminal breakage. These engines hopefully will have something like that in the future for Cyl 4.

What’s the next model up from the mx808 that will do vgt ? Also assuming these do all of the body control stuff like windows and door locks ?
