How hard it is to get a new or good windshield these days?
Try getting one for a 57 plymouth savoy then get back to us.
That's a lovely car. I'm looking forward to the next installment. All the best from England
The Plymouth is coming a long nicely. Just take it one step at a time. Have you checked out Trioxin Kustons and his 58?
Thanks! And yes, I've been following his progress. His build is shaping up nicely.
Hey it's good to see an update, how are you keeping?
Good, good. Same old same old. Hopefully getting back into this UA-cam stuff.
Thats good to hear, been missing the uploads. @@UndeadEdsel59
Do you know if the ltd can take a digital replacement
Probably with some modifications
Coming along good " There" 😁
Hello have a 1990 ltd crown vic bought it with hoses not connected to heater core coming out from the firewall where do those lead to thanks
@@mikeaslo8904 one to the water pump, other one to back of intake manifold
@@UndeadEdsel59 thank you
Big help thanks man
A six with no automatic, radio or clock, but with sport tone paint, very interesting.
Glad to see you post again! Hope you can do more on the car and manage to post some more videos.
New Plymouth vidéo 🎉🎉🎉 I love your wheels paint job and the back Seat looks New the engine sound sound good too I Hope you make some New restoration video 👑
I enjoy watching your videos and the plymouth sounds great but why are you not uploading much anymore? None of my business i know but just curious.
Thanks for the ride along. Glad your still going to post. I like watching your progress 👍🏻
Lookin’ sharp. Gave my 1964 a bath today.
Hi Can you make New savoy restoration video I pretty like it
If I was to own a classic, a '63 Ford Fairlane 500 would be one of my choices.
That Ford for sale? Probably a silly question but one that has to be asked.😅
Sorry, Not for sale 😂
Good to see you posting. Cars are looking good. Take care.
Hey, I remember you said you bought a 57 plymouth about 3 years ago, do you plan on uploading any videos on it? Will be interesting to see.
@solidsnakesimulation666 I sold the plymouth and bought a 50 chevy now I've sold that and bought a 1930 model A hot rod.
@@my55chevy43 oh okay, thanks for replying.
It's good to hear from you, hope you're keeping well.
I got the same exact car but an 89.
Hey is everything okay?
I remember , we had these in the RHD in South Africa. Really Great cars.
Did you have any trouble getting the speedometer to work again ? I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but it's not reading my speed. I believe I have the clip and all the way as well. Is it supposed to spin or something?
It should just push on till you feel it clip in.
This helped because I need to lube the jumping speed cable and swap my lights too. Thanks!
3 freeze plugs -170 5 freeze plugs - 200
I love the car but blue with red interior is a combination I've never seen, was the car repainted
Definitely has been repainted at some point. Probably in the 90s, if I had to guess. The original colour would have been all white, with a red stripe.
Thank you for making this video! It was a big help when I did mine
Oh what a beautifull car. I'm in the UK and I'm very jealous of these old cars you used to have over there in the States. Most people go for the muscle cars, which are great, but I much prefer these old cruisers, the cars ordinary folk used to drive. When I get in a car I don't normally want to go like hell, in fact I'm usually disappointed when I reach my destination, it means I have to stop driving. People tend to hot these cars up with sports wheels etc but I think they always look their best as they came out of the factory, always better with white walls. The cars of today would be much improved with some chrome and white walls. I look forward to seeing the progress on this beauty.
He's in Canada, not the states.
Good video I like seeing AMC content. But you know got to give you some help if you don't mind. Vacuum routing all wrong. The hose going to oil cap can't have a vacuum source attached it must be vented to atmosphere or to air cleaner. That center port needs to go to PCV and get rid of the tiny filter crammed into the PCV port. next the vacuum port in number #8 needs to be removed and plugged/capped. the vacuum line coming off the brake booster need to go to the rear center port on the carburetor, it has a plug in it rate now. doing this will equalize the vacuum pulse and make the car tunable. also, if clean and not warped the exhaust manifold to cylinder heads do not use gaskets. I know they came in the kit but never from the factory but once gaskets are used you just warped the manifolds so gaskets will need to be used. Hope the person that installed the intake transferred the PCV baffle from original intake to the aftermarket intake or oil consumption will be present AND last thing got to comment on and this is a Biggy, That is a 304 AMC V8 not a 360. Sorry to small of pistons and way to small of valves. nothing wrong with a 304 just not a lot of power but good economy.
As a teen myself and a friend owned 3 of those 63s all 2dr all 260 /3 on tree. Did overhaul on all 3, ring bearings gaskets dingle ball hone , and throw out bearings. Had them for year sold one traded the other running and in good condition.
I had a 63 Ford Fairlane with the 170 Cu engine. It didn't have the power to pull a hair off my chest.
Mine has the 200. Definitely not a rocket ship, but seems to have a bit of torque at least.
HOWdy 57-S-F, ... Thank You for the AMC V-8 CONTENT COOP the WiSeNhEiMeR from Richmond, INDIANA ...
What is that round cannister by the drivers shock tower ?
It says oil cleaner on it. But it also has a spin on oil filter. So, I'm not too sure why it has 2 oil filters.
That is a FRANTZ oil filter. very popular with car enthusiasts in the late 40s and 5 s it uses A SINGLE SHEET ROLL OF TOILET PAPER NEW FILTRATION LIKE SCOTT T-PAPER AND YOU NEED TO REMOVE SOME OF THE PAPER TO FIT THE CANISTER. THERE SHOULD BE SOME MORE INFO ON GOOGLE OR U-TUBE . HAVE FUN, SOUNDS LIKE YOU WILL BE REBUILDING IT SOON.THEN THAT FILTER WILL REALLY COMING IN HANDY TONY S.
Happy new year from the uk.
Happy new year!

Merry Christmas dave and Co.
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you as well!
Tengo un Plimotuh57 bervedere de fabrica en cuba me gustan muchos tus videos saludos ❤❤❤❤
I noticed the ac compressor is void of the belt I had to do this on mine years ago due to the pulley seizing. I had no air but the car was drivable ford was smart back then they put all the critical components ( water pump alt power steering pump on one belt) on a new car with one belt your stranded and SOL and gotta get towed
On a new car with one belt, typically you avoid powering on the AC, the clutch pulley should freewheel. As soon as you hit the AC button, it can stall the engine or chuck the belt.
I can tell you have the automatic temperature control because of that white " windpipe " looking tube
Any clue how to get the display on the center of the dash to work mine is not working and would like to get it working
The clock? blown Fuse maybe?
Door switches and radio wiring are the main culprits in battery drains or blown fuses
The oil light only works when the key is in the on position, not in accessory position.
Yes I know.
Nice simple video
Looks in pretty decent shape, looks a lot better now without all that gunk on it,must have been hard on your hands though because its freezing out
Ha that old Vic looks just like mine on my channel. Minus the rims
I was worried that it looked rusty in pic’s around the Fairlane 500 signs but I see it was just dirt on top of dirt
Yes, had lots of dirt and moss
And pine needles
Do you prefer the car to the bike?
Yes
Runs pretty good Dave can’t wait for the next video
Camera on the ground for the starting sequence frustrates some of us.
I'm sorry Mr.Bean. this video was over 3 years ago. Not much I can do about it now.
1st car I almost bought but Dad wouldn't let me, a 1957 Savoy.
Never too late to but one.
Nice to have you back! The car seems to be coming along very well
