39000 Club Car harness explained

Here we explain every wire and circuit on the 39000 IQ conversion harness for a Club Car DS
I have a 2001 with "AC " serial number but has the black curtis 1510 controller. will this work on this cart? did a lithium swap and getting no cart movement buzzer working in reverse but no movement except a little surge movement when swapping the tow/run switch.
@@randyhill9390 AC is a Regen 2 car. The Curtis 1510 was only found on an IQ car, which would have a serial number prefix of AQ. Your cart has been previously converted to the IQ system. It did not come with that controller from the factory. However, the OBC bypass procedure is identical for both systems.
David, I have a 97 powerdrive plus. I’m interested in converting to lithium. What battery do you recommend, and what do you sell the kit for? What is the easiest way to bypass the OBC on this cart? There is no plug near the OBC, so I am confused how to bypass the OBC. Thanks
In case anyone is getting error: E-0-1-7 its because of a formatting issue with your thumb drive. it needs to be formatted to fat32. unfortunately windows only allows formatting to fat 32 up to 32gb, in my case i had a 128gb flash drive. I threw it into mac os and was able to format it on disk utility and do the rest on windows. if you don't have a mac you can use 3rd party tools to format the larger drives or by 1. Press Windows Key + X and select Command Prompt (Admin) or Windows Terminal (Admin) on Windows 11. 2. in the command window type: format /FS:FAT32 X: (Replace X: with the letter of your USB drive.)
@@marvin19mejia great info. Thanks for sharing.
Great explanation yes to bad we cant see anything
The best explanation of cart solenoids I've found so far, thanks for the upload. I have a navitas but still running the stock solenoid because I'm afraid of frying the controller if I install it wrong. This helped my confidence a little.
Awesome explanation.. THANK YOU!!! iam switching to navitas AC (motor, controller and 400amp solenoid, and was wondering if i needed them! looks like i dont need any of them! thank u!!
Hello, would this same technique work on a 2015 club car model # 1515-5206? Thank you
No, a 1515-5206 would be the white Curtis controller found on the cars that use the E.R.I.C. charger from the factory. These cars do not have an OBC on them at all.
@@RevolutionGolfCars ok, this cart was setting for 9 months in storage with the batteries still connected (as he forgot to disconnect them) 2 batteries had to be replaced, the others had to be charged, the charger , it's a red light blue light, green light will not come on indicating its charging. We used a different charger and it has the same results, not charging. We also tried to reset the cart by disconnecting the main ground wire for over 20 minutes (that's supposed to reset the cart) it did not. Should I replace the main computer. Or is there something else I can try? I appreciate any information you can give me. Thanks
@@sallenpeet9031 A car that came stock with a 1515-5206 does not have an onboard computer. The charger is wired from the charger receptacle directly to the battery pack. If there's voltage to the positive and negative pins on the charger receptacle, the charger should work as long as it's the correct charger. Are you sure you're using the correct charger? The correct charger would be the ERIC charger and it would not have a red light like you describe. It would have an orange, blue, and green light. You can email photos of the charger to us at info@revolutiongolfcars.com and I'll be glad to look at it for you.
Great video !!!! Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic explanation.
Thank you sir.
Is this a kit? So pre 1996 carts can be IQ carts?
@@larrymalone7751 it’s the AM293201 kit modified to fit the pre 1996 pedal. Yes, adding a factory IQ harness will make these vehicles an Iq car with mcor throttle. Same as a newer car. This video highlights the mods that we made to make it work and shows the pedal system in action.
@@RevolutionGolfCars thanks for the quick response pretty neat stuff. Better then the other way around
@@RevolutionGolfCars thanks for the quick response.
Keep the videos coming. I greatly appreciate all the help you have been to me. Finally got my buggy home this past weekend.
The suspense is killing me what happens when it is unplugged? LoL
@@larrymalone7751 what happens when what is unplugged? The harness? The cart won’t run. lol
@@RevolutionGolfCarsI believe he is referring to the end of the video where it cut off. It seems like there was more to explain on the harness because it cut off mid sentence.
Happy you posted this news working on the same install yesterday. With the mjz400. The red wire goes on the same large post as battery pack positive. And the blue/white wire goes to the small post on the same side as battery pack positive? Opposite side of solenoid large post wire goes to B+. And light blue wire is on the small post ?
@@Matt_white23 you’re correct on the red wire. The two small terminals have no correlation to the large terminals so it doesn’t matter which small wire goes to which small terminal unless there is a diode present. Watch our video about solenoids. We explain this a little deeper in detail on that video.
Good stuff! Thanks, David
