He was an above-average QB. If he had played with some better O-lines, didn't constantly have to deal with new offensive coordinators and didn't have injury problems, he might have had a much better career.

Cutler was one of my fave players. Up there with matt forte, urlacher, hester, and Charles tilman. Man i miss those Bears team from the mid 2000s up to when jay cutler left. They were frustrating, but still, fun times.

A bright spot on the Bears poverty organization. He had new coaches every other year, turnstalls for OLinemen, and terrible wideouts. Add onto that diabetes, and dude was doing all he could. He's also pretty relatable for a multi-millionaire, which is rare, tho he really earned it.

Devin Hester? a converted corner who was mainly a special teams guy?johnny knox had a good year. might have played with alshon Jeffery later on in his career but for the most part it was guys that could only start for the bears

"Lethargic and lazy. Unmotivated...." The man has diabetes and had to run to the sideline after every drive to prick his thumb and check his blood sugar. During his Bears career he had notoriously bad Offensive Lines, and took brutal hits/sacks. But he always bounced right back up and continued to play. But the NFL decided that since he wasn't camera friendly that he was the boogeyman.

Bears fans were really retarded thinking this guy sucked. LIfelong Bears fan here and this guy was the best QB we had since Red Grange... Sad that we didn't have the Olin Kreutz era front five to protect him. We had 1 maybe 2 linemen to help him get enough time to throw that ball deep. I can't even count how many times he had to run for his life after a five step drop because somebody was already in his face.

His arm made up for a lot of his mental shortcomings, he rarely threw receivers open and relied on his arm to make up for having to wait for WRs to get open first. Then of course the forced throws.

I don't care what anyone says...Jay is one of my favorite Bears. He wasn't the best leader and he made some throws that he knew were questionable....but he also completed passes I've never seen anyone even dare to attempt. Never seen anyone complete more beautiful passes through triple coverage than him. That takes balls.

I love me some Jay Cutler every year and game was roller coaster great ups and downs. Hes was the best QB we had and people hated him because he was just focused on game day he even says it on his podcast he has now. He has a great personality and is funny smart guy. Still got Cutler jersey and wear it on game day. We now have Justin Fields hopefully they can protect him if not the past will repeat itself.

rofl haha 1:43 is hilarious - hits the guy square on the helmet, could not have made a more perfect pass... and he the receiver doesn't even turn around. Pretty much sums up his career in a single play - wasn't great, wasn't pretty, but he sure as hell got zero help. All things considered, he was a pretty good qb given the atrocious teammates around him besides Jeffrey.
