How about Halloween turns
I will have to try that.
...yep...they're cool...I was wondering about the last one and how you were gonna turn it down...then you didn't...interesting concept, but I do really like it...👍 Thought you might offset the snowman's hat, but I'm sure it'll look great after your wife gets ahold of it... Just subscribed...keep the vid's a commun'...😉 Matt
Thanks Matt! I appreciate the feedback.
do i get a tree ? 😉
Nice. I made a bunch of these last year, most about 6 inches tall. Good turning practice & good opportunity to get creative in decorating. Not as easy to sell at Craft markets as we thought….
Thanks!
New subscriber here. That is a very nice pot. Have you tried turning a "Bird's Mouth" pot?
Nice box. Well done. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
Thanks, you too!
Very skillful hands
Thank you!
Nice. Good work. I haven't turned anything that big yet. Arthritis keeps my turning in short steps, but I'm still at it ! 85 and still alive !!!
Thank you! Keep at it, slow and steady wins the race. Hopefully I will still be turning at that age.
I’m 73 and only just started wood turning 😀 and also have to learn sharpening tools so, have my work cut out. Your wife will be pleased with this pot, it’s very elegant
Good
Amazing
Thank you!
Ok! It is time to turn a baseball bat!!😁😁
And then give it to your FAVORITE nephew!!
it is amazing how a piece of wood can be transformed
Yes it is, I always enjoying seeing what it becomes. Thanks for watching!
Awww she's going to love it
Thanks, and yes she did!
Excellent work
Thank you!
what kind of scraper were you using. ive been practicing on hard maple and it seems very hard....perhaps pine is much easier
I have two, both are Robert Sorby brand. I have a 1" square and a 1 1/2" round nose.
Nice to see how you made a small brown from a 2x 4
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
Very good tutorial
Thank you!
Well done love it
Thank you!
you need a lot work
What's with the whistling noise?
i have an idea for ya, take 3 different scrap wood types and glue press them together. They will obviously be different colors. Then turn it. See what happens.
Thanks for the idea! I will definitely try that, look for it in an upcoming video.
You sir, please show us what you mean by making and posting a video of what you describe.thanks@@Tinkeringsouthernstyle72

Very unique. Love it
Thanks!
wow that is so cool, love the color added
Thank you, it was fun to do!
Love the wood grain
Thanks!
Lookin' good!
Thanks!
I'm curious as to why you didn't cut off the corners on the bandsaw before mounting it up on the lathe. The amount of time and effort it took to remove the corners was not well thought out. Otherwise the bowl looks good.
I wasn't sure at the time if I was going to make a round piece or a square piece. I decided to start square and let the wood "speak" to me. I normally do start from relatively round if I have a solid plan from the start. Thanks for watching!
That looks great... Job well done...
Thanks 👍
Very pretty
Thank you! 😊
that was amazing to see the process, beautiful piece
Thank you very much!
