It reminds me of snowboarding, when you first learn you are focused on smooth motions and mechanics, but as you advance the movements become more direct and (for lack of a better term) VIOLENT. No longer asking physics to be your partner, now insisting upon your whims; rather than asking.

That's some bad luck m8. I've just got into drones myself and I love it. I would be gutted if my drone fell out of the sky for no reason. I've got the DJI mini 4 pro and the DJI Avata 2 & I love both of them. DJI make great stuff. The kids these days got it made 👍🚁😎
I cut my teeth with a mini2 which led me to the DJI fpv, now i’m building my own. I love this hobby! Glad to be here today to enjoy it! Cheers!

First question what happened why did it fall from the sky and second question where are you flying at the mountains in the background look familiar is is arizona maybe close to Dolan springs?
Fell from the sky because I am an idiot. I just that we added a pre-arm for safety. HA. I accidentally disarmed the quad mid air and then frantically tried to re-arm without remembering my new pre-arm sequence, which would require me to press and hold the momentary switch while I arm, which is not complicated or difficult. I just forgot in the moment. I’m located in Las Cruces New Mexico. This is the BLM (Bureau of land management) land near White Sands national Park, but on the other side of the mountains where it’s legal to fly. If you are ever in these neck of the woods, please let me know!
