@user-jt8xw6fd1v The lines are mostly fine I've driven VIR a lot, the car does not have any front end bite at low speed meaning you have to drive it differently. But yes one or two corners aren't great due to this. Feel free to give it a go and compare! Leaderboard etc..are in the description

To be completely honest it’s totally useless. Some people enjoy it because it sounds like a car with a large amount of cam overlap giving you a “cam lope” sound. The tune essentially just introduces cam overlap in the idle area to achieve the sound.

There isn’t really an option from Stratified that matches this version. I was just testing various changes to the crackles tunes to see how it sounded.

This was my own tune. Pretty much all videos of the ST on my channel were tuned by me hah.

I’m pretty sure you can google “Stratified Extreme Crackles” and you’ll find a link. I don’t think they advertise it as a normal option. Although I will say the extreme crackles aren’t exactly the same as the ones I sent over to them, mine only activated above about 5800rpm where as the version Strat released is more extreme through all of the rpm range

@@Fingerthief I’ll have a look, thanks foe the info they look so good! Are these ones harmful to the engine at all? When I spoke to them originally about the crackles with the progressive or loud options they said they replicate the RS OEM crackles which don’t dump unburn fuel into the exhaust to pop and flame so it’s safe for the engine

@@crawsh1 in my opinion it’s safe, all the crackles were pretty much made by me. It 100% is not dumping any extra fuel etc..it does indeed operate the same way the RS does among other like Porsche, Audi and Jaguar etc.. That being said clearly it will wear out a catted downpipe faster if only due to the pressure waves deteriorating the cat material. But if you’re catless that’s not an issue. The extreme version is just much more aggressive than the RS for example. I personally don’t enjoy the way it sounds unless it’s setup to only activate the “extreme crackles” high in the rpm band and use progressive crackles in the lower rpm area

This can be detrimental to components such as oxygen sensors and mufflers which can decrease their lifespan. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Your car MUST be CATLESS for Extreme crackles. This feature does not add additional fuel to create crackles.” So sounds like it’s as safe as the other crackles but may cause damage to back box and o2 sensors, other than that, it’ll flame right?

I’ve used both Cobb’s tuning software as well as HPTuners. HPTuners is probably better IMO.

Dess Basically the FR-S is a single piped exhaust that ends in two exits. So after removing the muffler they just welded a dual exits onto the pipe. So that it fits the dual exits the car has from the factory.

SwitchBackKid600 I have another video labeled “injen intake sound” and it gives a fairly good representation of the sound of an intake with the Mountune BPV You can hear the turbo noises plenty, it’s quite loud but not the annoying sounds that a BOV make.

Yeah, with Cobb they have a flat foot system to implement it. With HPTuners you can do it as well if you know how to implement it.

dtfreshh I just adjusted the cam timing in the tune to have more overlap at idle much like aftermarket cams do. Basically just a simulated cam lope.

Also, none of these are really Strat tunes. These are all my own tunes, I did give the settings for a lot of the crackles to Strat but they’re adjusted a bit to their liking of course. Crackles shouldn’t be hard on the engine unless you go really crazy and then it’s tougher on things like the O2 sensors etc.. The crackles are achieved essentially the same way as the RS and many other OEMs so you shouldn’t run into any issues other than possibly wearing out the catalytic converter a bit quicker. I’m not entirely sure if Strat offers the ghost cams or not, I didn’t send over my settings for that stuff.

@@Fingerthief I notice a weird idle and some different idling cold starts when I run the crackle map and it doesn't feel quite as powerful is that normal? I have new ngks cold plugs gapped at .27...the no exhaust crackle map feels great and idles smoothly always

Heh I’ve never ran the extreme crackles myself, I just have guidelines on what my setup was to Strat when they created it. Switch to HPTuners and I’ll tune it for you :-P

That's their BPV. The purpose of a BPV is to recirculate. A BOV vents to atmosphere.

It is the Mountune BPV and Injen intake.

I'm not sure who really offers it these days, it's honestly difficult to dial in correctly and if you have an upgraded RMM or even just the stock one it feels very shaky/jarring to sit and idle in traffic etc.. This was just more of a test for myself than anything.

Marksman 802 Stock cams, it was done through my tune.

the ghost cam creates valve overlap by adjusting the timing of the valves. cars without VVT and aggressive cams will naturally sound like that. even if you have upgraded cams, you will still need to tune to get the "cam sound"

Lucca Conti I was using a wheel and pedals but just paddle shifters.

Oh it’s so much more fun with a shifter and I’d recommend Assetto Corsa for hot lapping this car due to in Assetto Corsa it’s so much more realistic on how the car feels and handles.

Lucca Conti Honestly I tried to like AC, but found it not to be as realistic (from my IRL experiences) the tire model seems a bit wonky to me. I haven’t tried the new AC that’s out now, but I’m definitely going to give it a go. PCars 2 definitely has its issues as well.

@@Verto_c ive spent many hours in both and AC is not more realistic despite the reviews. and teh graphics outright suck. PC2 is the better sim/experience and more realistic. AC is too easy and gamey.
