Thank you, Mr Isaac. 🙏🏾🤗 From the explanation( I'm not talking about the distributive property explanation) it is evident commutativity is not the reason for your answer. When you mentioned "commutativity" I was thinking that's a property that will help ALL arrive at the same answer hence no confusion. But that was not the case. I think it wasn't commutativity that made you arrive at the answer, "1" but "precedence". You priotised × over ÷. I think the right question I should ask is: *Why is your method correct?* (Obviously the distributive property explanation was correct, I mean the other explanations you gave.) Please I really want to understand the best way all this operation problems can be solved. Thanks Mr Isaac.
Hi, I know commutativity is not the reason for my answers, but since it is a mathematically proven and trusted concept, any thing we do in mathematics should be able to align with it, as long as the conditions for it are met, so what I did was to show the failure in the other methods being used with a standard concept and tried to consider it in my own case, which was still okay, I still stand to be corrected by the way…
