I would love to show you heards mountain in va. 6 dozer roads on the side of the mt , the only skidder to get the wood out was a cat , that swivel is the real steep ground getter, old franklin is also good mt. Machine too .
The Tekton are the move.. The matte chrome(less slippery) with the ability to get the larger sizes is the way I'd go if I am looking for 30/60 wrenches for hydraulic fittings
15/60 are a waste of time! In addition to Michigan industrial tool, Sunex also have 15/60 wrenches.
@@bigg4454 I agree. Scamazon sells some cheap 15/60s also.
When working with hydraulics, the last thing I want is a full polish wrench, too slippery!
@319E brake cleaner , pig mats , tub o towels and shop towels will help with that. I will say the fact the tektons are slim they get into tight spaces better than the others.
I have a 78 240 D ! Best skidders on steep ground.
The 380b or c was real good on steep ground also. One of my other videos was the side of this mountain we went up. We made this the down side. This video did no justice to how steep it really was. That machine was rolled over once on that job and the dozer almost went over.

Thats not what I call steep.I have same skidder and put a five speed in ten yrs ago and works better on steep ground particularily with winching and driving same time!!
This video does no justice. We had a 225a it wouldn't go up. That became a down trail. The dozer wouldn't go either. He rolled that skidder on this job once. The dozer did a nose dive and almost went end over end.

The bolt came out of the rod. It was laying in the barrel the piston was at half a stroke.

As the tree grows it will heal over however it takes a long time. This sugar Bush has about 25000 trees that are tapped every year.

@@wood_dirt_grease no shit why is the tree blowing air? Turger pressure? Rot producing gas? Something else?
The lines are on vacuum. The vacuum pulls the sap out of the tree. This tap was to close to last year's hole and the tree is leaking vacuum. When this happens the main line freezes. The next tree up the line was shooting sap out due to the line being frozen and the sap backing up past the frozen part in the main line. Vacuum leaks cause frozen lines. Therefore you need to get all vacuum leaks out of every line in the woods to get the maximum amount of sap. We try to get 28 to 29 psi when the lines are tight.

There is thousands of miles of Main line and tubing in the sugarwoods. This is where tubing that goes to the trees attaches to the main line. The main line runs to the sap tanks in the sugarhouse. This is all under vacuum with 25 to 29 psi. More videos to come.
