An excellent series and with Kenneth Branagh as lead character it is top notch. No comparison to the the trash streaming served up today on Netflix and Amazon. This episode alone shows the inevitable challenges and personal consequences that detectives face in a highly complex escalating murder investigation like this one.

Why did the British remake Wallander and Dr. T? The originals were brilliant, but the remakes were bland.
I discovered Tom Hiddleston recently and now I want to watch everything he's ever made. He is sooooo talented. I just finished watching The Night Manager.

@@alenciaga21 I was watching this really recently. It is funny! Wallender treats Magnus as if he's just a big dumb blonde. At times, it might be justified 😅 but I don't know...Wallender should probably be nicer to him after Magnus literally saves his daughter's life!! And than Wallender proceeds to go into existential break-down about shooting someone one episode after Magnus had to shoot someone saving his daughter....Jeez, pull it together Kurt!!

I saw this episode and I can't figure why the girl was killed or the boyfriend disappeared. not as good as previous episode but still worth watching.
She was killed because she knew too much and her crime and subsequent arrest drew too much attention. Then her murder was used to cause the power outage and distract police so they could steal the body cos they needed his hands.
