Odessa Canyon at the Calico Mountains - Part 2 | Barstow,CA
Welcome back to SoCal Outlander ATV! After ensuring our fellow rider made it safely back to his vehicle in Part 1, the rest of us continued our adventure, this time venturing into the wash Phillips Canyon. With no set route in mind, we let the landscape lead us, eventually arriving at the iconic Kramer’s Arch for a quick breather and a few scenic views.
Fueled up and ready for more, we pressed onward into Phillips Canyon, navigating through rough terrain and breathtaking canyon scenery. But the ride wasn’t without its challenges. Partway through, one rider tore a hose, so the group jumped in to make a quick fix right on the trail.
Join us for this action-packed ride, and stay tuned for Part 3, as we take on Odessa Canyon once again, this time heading south. This is one adventure you won’t want to miss!! Don't forget to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and hit the NOTIFICATION bell to get notified when the next video drops!

Snowstorm Made Us Turn Back from Big Bear

How great would it be to off-road in snowing conditions... well not as much as I'd thought. On today's large group gathering, twelve of us got to riding our planned ride from Juniper Flats in the Mojave Desert to the mountain terrain outside of Big Bear,CA. A failed sensor on one of the quads, to heading the wrong way on a tight trail, and the snowstorm that made us turn back before reaching ou...

How to install Mud Flaps on your Can Am Outlander in under 20 minutes
Watched your whole video, went out to the garage and checked my 24 outlander 700xt. Not a single grease fitting…
Can I use a e dirtbike in there
Whats the GPS longitude and latitude to the parking or staging areas?
They look awesome that powder coat job and your painting made these pop. What brand / model are those wheels?
Is it legal to stage of the side of the road off of the 15?
Both your straps are pulling your quad towards your back window. Hope you don’t brake too fast.
Buddy where did you mount the amplifier
There's an empty space underneath the battery tray where I mounted to the ATV frame.
Thanks man
Did your kit come with a bronze and silver washer? Which did you use?
The kit supposedly works for different machines, and includes a washer for old and new style drain plugs. Use the one similar to your machine. Hope this helps.
I like your videos but you know half the roads you are on are street legal only, yes I would like to go wherever on my Quad, but you can get a ticket ugh!!. My channel is Steve's Ohv Adventures, for your info, the only roads with an X or a Y connect with other roads. All other are dead ends.
Great video man! New to can am and this helped a lot!
Glad I could help!
Hi Did you need to carry gas tank with you ?
I didn't need to. Started with a full tank and came back with about half. It's a 5 gallon gas tank on my ATV.
Nice video brother!
Thank you much appreciated!
Not sure i can do this one in my tacoma
Dirt bike and ATV only unfortunately.
this is by the mcdoanlds right? off he 15
Yeah right off the 15fwy. The entrance is right next to the freeway north entrance if that makes sense.
@@SoCalOutlanderATV is it that little road once you cross the palmdale exit? it looks like it goes nowhere thuogh?
If you're heading northbound on the 15fwy, as soon as you exit at the 138 go straight onto the dirt road that's next to the freeway entrance again. You'll see a brown sign saying 3N21/no fires/OHV use. If you look on Google maps it'll say Santa Fe Rd. Two miles inward on that dirt road is where the staging area is next to the train tracks.
@@SoCalOutlanderATV i always see people out there but never knew the entrance.i usually pass it up and got straight to el mirage.but im tired of riding the lake bed and trails there
@@SoCalOutlanderATV is that trail trailer friendly? ive got a 24ft flatbed and a 24 ft enclosed trailer depending on what im loading that paticular trip
Nice... But next time..I would use a 5/8 socket instead of the 1/2 to 3/8 adapter and a spark plug socket...100ft.lbs is alot on that adapter...
Thanks man I appreciate the tips! 🙏🏽💯

hey man I really appreciate this video. saved me a lot of trouble.
Thanks for the support! Glad I could help. 🙏🏽😎
It is a handy video with details. Thank you!
Appreciate your support. 😎👍🏽
If you use this on a street bike, don't get overspray on the tires Or you will be kissing the pavement
My tow hitch is stuck and rusted. Any ideas on how to remove it? Thanks
Man that's a tough one. I'd try some WD40 and give it some love taps with a rubber mallet all around. You could try giving it some heat as well with a heat gun.
Do you know if RZRs are allowed on this trail?
Yes they are. Look up Juniper Flats map on Google and it'll show the trails. Heading into Big Bear it's then San Bernardino National Forest land, I'd advise to look up that map as well.
That thick sand you refer too is called silt. Its easy to get stuck in.
Do you put any pressure in your rear tires?
The truck drove just fine when I had this setup.
lol.... good video but man..... rounding your bolts with those pliers. C'mon man!
Yeah man... I've gathered the right tools since. 😅
I love it out there! Good times.
Yeah place is huge!
When i had my gmc id laugh when i saw rams without a stock factory hitch thinking why just why well i just got my 2021 ram classic and im doing what your doing now brother lol
Yeah hate that mine didn't come with one. Hope the video helps. 💯
@@SoCalOutlanderATV my top bolt didnt fit smh i creeped the dodge lot on ram classic and removed the cap they dont even have a bolt must be welded all together weird…

I like the video nice job. You and the other people in the comment thanks as well helpful pointers .
No you didn't make mistake with the darn alignment I just installed mud flaps on my 2023 can am and they're off as well. Right side is close to the bumper but left side is a bit further away from it. It appears that they are not made symmetrical. Good job anyway. I spent whole afternoon trying to adjust them to be symmetrical but unsuccessful
Very helpful for my 2021 650 max xt-thanks
Glad it helped!
Tks from Alberta! Helped me with my new max xt 700!
Good to hear!
Nice setup but maybe 150 watts rms Rockville jack up their max watts rating lol
True that. Haha.
How do you reset the maintenance reminder
Go to settings and then the sub menu of settings. When it shows RES MAINT you push and hold until it beeps. That should reset.
Puede poner las coordinates de donde empezó viejon
Simon ay le va 🤝🏽💯 39.2135197, -121.3991444
Excellent. Thanks
Glad it helped!
How often do you do that? Thanks in advance for answering!
If you start hearing it squeak, you should grease the fittings. But I typically do it after every ride in wet conditions. Or normal riding conditions every 3 months. Hope this helps.
So helpful
Glad it was helpful!
That’s where the 10 and 215 connect I did security work down there when they were reinforcing the fwy from the bottom.
Yeah we used to enter near there and ride the quads to the 60 near Market St.
@@SoCalOutlanderATV where can you enter from now? I just bought a rzr and wanna do some exploring even tho it’s illegal to ride down there I’m still down to explore.
just save 8000 cash finance is a con
Yeah definitely was a lot to pay for the ATV.
Thank you good video. It's it the same for a 2022 1000r xmr?
I'm pretty positive it has the same grease fitting zerks.
Excellent instruction!! Thanks
You're welcome!
Thanks from Brazil for your help. Excelents instructions.
Thanks for the support! 👍🏽
That’s really hard on your suspension to collapse it like that. Grab onto the frame somewhere.
Donde puso el ampli?
Ay un espacio hueco abajo de la bateria, en el frame. 👍🏽
Thanks for clear instruction with perfect video. My installation kit had no instructions, so using the fish-wire was a puzzle, and without torque specs was potentially dangerous. Well done!
Glad I could help and thanks for the support!
I bought a full set of these as take offs, 27-9x12 front and 27-11x12 rear. Came with MAXXIS bighorn 2.0’s. Only 400 miles on them. I paid $150 for them.
Man that's a great deal!!
