@@BlancodrumsIf you could do the arrangement of Scriabin Etude, surely you could Chopin Etude! I have suggested once before that I would love you to do “Chaconne “. Your answer to that is that there are so many musicians have done it already. I am sure that is true but the reason for my request is that I just love the color of tone that you create.

@@marimatsumoto372 Thank you so much for appreciating my interpretations, but unfortunately, my time is limited, and I have to prioritize. My goal is mainly to create arrangements that expand the marimba repertoire, rather than focusing on interpreting canonical works for the instrument. Also, the technical demands of Scriabin's Etude and Chopin's Etude are quite different. The marimba's polyphonic limitations don't allow for a proper rendition of the Chopin Etude you mentioned. As a percussionist, I play the mallet instruments you see in the video (as well as others like the xylophone and tubular bells) and also various drum instruments (like timpani, drum set, snare drum, bass drum, cymbals, small percussion, etc.) which you can see in other videos on my channel. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. While I don't have the physical-acoustic knowledge to confirm if it's possible to build a smaller marimba with the same sound outcome, I have my doubts. Marimbas with narrower bars tend to sound considerably worse. Additionally, marimba players have adapted their technique to the standard dimensions of concert marimbas. I believe that reducing the size of the intervals would be more inconvenient than advantageous. Thank you for commenting!

I already have plans to play more Bach in the future, although probably not the Chaconne. While it's a piece I love, my channel tends to focus on works that are less standardized for the marimba. As an arranger, my goal is to expand the instrument's repertoire. There are already many excellent recordings of the Chaconne by great marimba players, so with the limited time we all have, I prefer to prioritize other pieces.
