Another thing. The cops WOULD NOT have their sirens going right outside the church where the exchange was happening. It would put both grandma & grandson in danger if the bad guy got tipped off like that. Plus, they definitely would've told grandma NOT to tell him the police were coming! Tipping him off even if it was only seconds before the police burst in would put them in danger. He had a gun, & he would only need seconds to fatally wound them both.

The son said "we should call the police". Ummm...the police are already in the house! I doubt they'll let her leave while they're searching for evidence. And they'd definitely stop her if they see a notebook in her hand, unless it's a tiny notebook instead of the typical 11x7 or whatever. Plus, the story says "THEY had found an old safe" not the son alone. Forensics would be ALL OVER the contents. The bad guy also KNEW the police were already involved since he kidnapped the kid from the POLICE STATION. Him telling her not to contact the police makes little sense in my mind. I know, I know. I just sound like I'm complaining. I'm not. But I am poking holes in the story w logic, just because. No real reason tbh.

So. Obviously, not the USA, or the mandatory reporting system would have been triggered by the child’s entry into a hospital where all nurses and doctors are required to report suspected cases of abuse immediately to the police and child protective services. Also, except in rural areas, 911 is faster care than taking a child to a hospital yourself. They will have an IV going by the time the get there and heart monitoring going and talking to the ER doc to let them know they need a pediatrician in the ER. Interesting story, but naive.

What could a TWO YEAR OLD do? Are these even REAL officers? These "officers" are IMPOSTORS! She's perfectly within her right to see the warrent and badges.

It is a typical Asian drama, the poor women are conditioned from tiny girls to be obedient to moms and FUTURE MOTHER INLAWS, especially since in most ASIAN CULTURES, the daughter in laws end up living with hubby's family 😢 and often end up being abused

I listen to these stories while crocheting. I stopped this story after 13 seconds. Sorry, but the voice is unlistenable.

I liked the story I don’t understand why a distracting background is used with all your stories.

If the husband deliberately caused his wife's death, he is not going to get any insurance, even if it is in his name.

When your mother in law pushed you and you fell while pregnant and you loose your baby you should have reported it to the Police and make her pay for her doing.

Maybe dial up the speed of the AI voice so we can cut to the chase in 15 minutes, maybe even under 10?

Opie’s mother-in-law is right about letting the baby cry to develop independence because of you pick up a baby every single time it cries it will become extremely needy. You have to listen to the cries of the baby to see you when to pick them up and when not to. The one thing I do not agree with the mother-in-law is the strictness you’re only strict when you have to be

10 years for premeditated murder for profit seems far too little, especially considering his past crimes. The threats he made against the mother should increase the punishment. This story was unsatisfying.
