Good video but the cymbals in the background make it very hard to hear you and focus. Is it possible to post the video without the background noise? Thanks!

My 14 almost 15 year old puggle, full of life, got a small black lump on her abdomen in 2022. A month ago in August 2024 it started to grow. I’ve been told I have a month left. I’m a wreck. She’s so happy and full of life I can’t handle. She’s my first dog. I got her when I was 18 and she fit in the palm of my hand. I love you so much Lola. 2009- ……
I was actually scared that something was wrong with my puppy she's almost a year old she barks and crying and kicking and I was scared considering she is my first dog and it only happens when she sleeps I'm starting to get use to it and comfort her when it happens
I think being as consistent as you can in putting them down. Then plan on doing lots of cleaning the countertops and tables with Clorox wipes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I recently rescued a terrier from a shelter. He was abandoned in the middle of nowhere. He's skin and bones. I buy Merrick and other good brands, I thought he'd love it. It's so hard to get him to eat though. He won't hardly touch treats. He won't eat table scraps. I don't know how to get him to eat regularly. Please help.
my frenchie has a pink eye i need help
My little corgi chihuahua will literally go 3-4 days without eating anything and at that point I don’t want to just let her starve. She just will not eat. Bloodwork is done, nothings wrong with her. She’s 2 yrs old. I will leave kibble out with freeze dried chicken even… and nothing 😭 my bf must be giving her treats/snacks still!!
Oh but get this..... The dog has also trained my new puppy fml!!
I work all day and my parents are at home and I can leave notes and tell them but I have a feeling they still give my dog a treat and say “don’t tell your mom” I just can’t trust anyone and there is no way for me change it except notes and telling em off. I wish people would take my seriously and actually listen to me it’s like I’m talking to a damn wall. If I lived alone with my dog this would not have happened 😤
WHAT ABOUT USING L CYSTEINE METHYL ESTERS TO BREAK THES EDOWN AND PREVENT THEM/??? I know there isn’t much research behind using this due to the fact there’s no money to be made with the pharmaceutical company being technically a supplement.
You forgot the part about how to treat it like your title says
Thank You.....well said..👏🙏👏....( my opinion : when They💕 are REALY hungry....They will eat.... no Sentient Being wants to starve..💖🙏.)
Photos would help
My dog has been having this weird cough took him to the vet they gave him medication but is just getting worse..what can i do
Not helpful.
Poison
Thank u
How is struvite similar to cystine? Cystine is an amino acid and canine cystinuria is androgen dependent over 90% of the time and fixed by neutering
Not true that it's fixed by neutering, I adopted a chiwinnie that had been neutered as a pup about 5 years before I adopted him and he's had to have 2 cystine stone removal surgeries in the last 4 years, after his 2nd surgery we got him started on Hills Urinary Care u/d food
@@noralongtin798 I said over 90% of the time. This is data from research
This depends on the genetics behind your pets condition…sometimes it can be fixed by neutering….
@teeniequeenie8369 over 90% of the time though. Majority of vets act like this isn't the case
I’ve had medium size dogs all my life. Never had a pickiness problem with any of those dogs. Then I got a small breed puppy. What a mistake. What finally got through to me was Dr Sammy laughing at me. Trained. Just like my ex husband had me trained. The truth hurts. However, I take comfort in the fact that over 25,000 people were looking for help with this heart wrenching problem. So I’m not the only one. I took this puppy into my home for comfort while caring for my elderly father who was descending into dementia. I did not know about all the issues with little dogs. Silly me. We are on day 3 of discarding the food after an hour, and no other food available.
Thank you for not chuckling at the dog owner for getting trained. I am finding out the hard way that small breeds are not for everyone. Problem is, as humans get older, we may think we can’t physically handle a bigger dog anymore. I never ever had a dog that would not eat. That is, until I fell victim to a cute little dog.
My dogo 3months so hell picky don't accept royal cannine only eats raw chicken with bones...However Vet strictly prohibited for raw diet ..idk qhy
🤦♀️I’ve been trained….
Its really not funny when your trying to feed your best friend also your right, my pup only likes certain human food cause i guess weve trained each other. He will not eat any dog food!!. Is it that bad he wont eat it.
It was hard to figure it out what does he likes. 😢
What if my husky will eat chicken or other meat but he refuses to eat kibble
U dont even try to answer people in tha comments why does your page even exist
Some people baby there pets way too much thats the problem they give in. And even if the pup or pet is behaving bad will give them kisses and tell them good boy and say oh he doesnt know any better blah blah blah pet food is expensive also. Hard headed stubborn people are the WEAK links.
Ok, it’s day 3, the battle of wills is strong. I need to stay off of the internet because it is making me weaken but I know if I give in I will never win and I’ll be stuck again. Just to be clear, if he is acting normal just keep training?
I am the weak link. He’s got me so trained and I get so stressed that I just up the ante and give him something else that’s better. He won’t eat his prescription food and so I kept changing it. Then he was getting all sorts of tummy problems. Ran him through a load of tests and all came back unremarkable. So the vet told me that I need to put the food down, wait 10 mins, then take it away. No treats, no nothing until the next feeding. This is sooooo hard to do but I promise I will stay consistent this time. I can do this!
I bought some dog/cat sunscreen
More info about what you mean when you say a pup will “Go down for the day” until they have another rupture or leak…. The info you give is useful more for veternarian techs or whatever and not so much for pup owners..who need more info about symptoms and tests no matter you did say they present variably and often no warning. Also for those on a budget could use ideas from a profession about what to start with …testing diagnostic strategies.
I lost my 6 year old dog to this, she meant the world to me. Had mass on her spleen and liver. She acted completely normal in the morning and an hour later she couldn’t stand and struggling to breath. Rushed her to the hospital and was told they ruptured and she was hemorrhaging and internally bleeding, there is nothing they can do. She had surgery 2x in the last 2 years to remove cancerous masses but she showed no signs something was wrong til it was to late.
Dok is another way that the recover from fracture without surgery?
My dog keeps flinching while relaxing(eye open) like if he hears something. Jumps up. Can't relax. Just started. What could it be? He's a 6 yr old maltese.
Love the info but please turn the music off so I can hear !I have a yorkie 14 with osteoporosis who broke his jaw but the vet seems to think he can’t do anything bc the small bone . He said he would learn to eat . Not wire or and splint can they really heal ?
Question for doc - you say all you have to do is “look” for cancer and that everything seems normal because nothing showed up in bloodwork - what is the method used to look for cancer?
Bruh
Good day, Doc! . Saw your video regarding hemangiosarcoma. Can you help me with its pathophysiology. Thank you!
Link doesnt work.
Just had to put our 10 year old goldendoodle down due to HSA two days ago. First presented with him collapsing inside the house and loss of bowl control as a result. He never pooped in the house, so we knew it was serious. Trip to the vet er and ultrasound done as well as abdominal needle aspiration. Ultrasound showed small lesions on his liver that were no concern to the vet, but there were areas on his spleen that were more suspect. Aspiration showed no blood in his abdomen. An anaphylactic reaction to something was in the differential diagnosis as well as Addisons disease or a tumor. Ultrasound showed a halo around his gallbladder, which is an indicator of addisons. Another test, which eludes me, ruled out addisons. So the feeling was it was anaphylaxis. He spent three days in the hospital. A course of steroids and antibiotics were administered. He improved, and was fine for two months. He had gotten his energy back close to 80% I would say, and his appetite returned. He had a short lived recurrence of lethargy for which we took him in to our local vet. He had an ACTP test that came back “equivocal “ for addisons. He was put on 10mg of daily steroids and seemed to be on an even keel for a couple weeks. Then he had another episode where he was very lethargic, hung his head while lying down, and would let out a moan occasionally. Another trip to the er, as it was a Sunday evening, and this time ultrasound showed fluid in his abdomen and blood on aspiration. Tumor on his spleen that ruptured was diagnosed. Splenectomy was discussed, but we were given a poor prognosis with possibility of survival of 6 months projected. We decided to let Cooper go. Very, very sad day.
So sorry for your loss my friend. I unfortunately can relate firsthand as we just went through this HSA within the last 24hrs with our 10 yr old golden boy. Totally unexpected and sudden out of nowhere. He was fine and acting normal full of energy and 24 hrs later he’s gone. Although it hurts beyond words, I know he’s not suffering and we provided home with the best life any dog could ever want and then some. He knows that as do we and we can live with knowing we did him a favor in his unfortunate situation and let him go peacefully. Thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. 🐾
Why not? There'd be a huge market for it.
My mini dachshund is picky as hell! I literally have 7 dry foods down right now and she won't touch a thing. Her wet food, she will go truth stages. One kind one week, another kind the next week, etc etc.... 99% of treats she despises. Honestly sometimes she's a nightmare at food time. Kind of at my wits end.... she typically will eat at least once per day, if in lucky, and that takes a lot of manipulations on my part. She seems super normal. Poops normal, pees normal.... Just would love it if she would stick to one type of food. Tried farmers, won't eat it btw.... As i said, she acts super normal. Not losing weight.... She's just a brat at meal time.... Really need some insight from someone....
Oh myyyy! And I thought my dog was picky!😮.
my teacup yorkie is the EXACT same to a T!!!! If he finally starts eating one brand a few days later he decides he’s sick of it and doesn’t eat it. He will literally refuse a prime rib if offered to him. At least it’s comforting knowing it’s not just him😭 i think it’s a small dog thing maybe
Mine is the same way I have the same dog and she only she eats caesers food.
I see lots of ignorant pet owners taking dogs for walking in boiling heat. Makes me angry.
So wait it out 4 days?
Took me a bit to realize you aren't talking about people 😂
Can I make remede at home, cause ne veterinary in city... Pls helo
This video was extremely helpful.
I was googling this question and for me, it stems from guilt lol. I just dont want him to somehow relate me to this painful process. Thank you for making this video!
