I haven’t looked this one over since the video. I’ll check it again after winter.

where was the exhaust leak? mine sounds the exact same
The leak was in the flex connector. I welded it all solid and it seems to work fine.
What else is done to it?
Tuned for the supercharger with a cat back exhaust in this video. Still retains stock manifolds, engine
What supercharger is it?
Kenne Bell 2.8
Why so short? Why even bother with this? A 390 with 3 deuces? It sure sounded good.
It was just a moment in time.
Neighbors in the country don't like that, Keep it in the open.
Thanks for your input.
Im going through the same crap. Bought a 2024 and havent even hit the first oil change and one of the front tire has a lot of wear because it wasnt aligned correctly
It seems like a new machine would be lined up but I guess we over expect.
How u do that I have same car
I bought the supercharger as a kit from Kenne Bell and installed it on a weekend. It went on fairly easy.
hell fuckin yeah brother wooooooo shit yeah god damn
Lol
Beautiful car I like the motor selection, but I guarantee there's not 450 horsepower going to those rear wheels not motor technically with just a set of headers a decent Cam and a single or dual plane intake is easily a 400 horsepower motor weather fair amount of torque as well. Sound very healthy I didn't mean to disrespect your car or how much effort money and time you've invested in this car.🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Totally agree, it’s built for 450 at the flywheel. The engine has EQ IMM prepped cylinder heads with 2.02 intake valves and pocket porting, Icon pistons with 10.25:1 compression, etc. Hopefully the additional information makes light of the flywheel horsepower claim. This engine was built mostly based on the magazine article sledgehammer magnum 360 budget build.
Man that location is like from a movie, the car is what you will expect from an all american muscle car, big V8 power/roar.
Thank you!

What’s that thing pushing though 😁
Isn’t it slow?
@@kgsartinehhhh look pretty quick 2 me
Whp 494 with right around 500 wtq if I remember correctly. It hasn’t been dynoed since the cat delete and retune so probably 20 or so more.
Has a nice lope to it! Look forward to seeing it around when the weather straightens up.
Thank you. I’m running a little slow with the new transmission setup. I’m still hoping to get it out and about by June.
how to die in stupid ways - the video
We used a long strap to be a safe distance from the tree. The video does appear things are closer than reality.
Doesnt seem any faster than a stock 5.7 . Probably hasnt been tuned yet or low boost Those tires shouldve have been smoking when you floor it
The tune was a little rich in this video. Those worn tires hooked much better than the 315s I run now. Maybe wider wasn’t better?
Хули на стенде не разгоняется 😂
Nice it’s the same as a hellcat idk why hellcats owners act so superior it’s the same thing 😂
Sorta the same thing minus the warranty and price.
The bad thing about dodge or ram everything is cheap plastic and the wiring is just cheap 4 stringed
Unfortunately, all vehicles seem to be made a bit cheaper every year.
I seen that on all trucks. It’s weathered and happens sadly.
I don't see anything terrible with this truck. I'll probably give it a good undercarriage washing after winter and call it good.
@@kgsartin absolutely. They will be good to go with a good cleaning 👍🏼
@@jimcole2648 Absolutely!
Been looking to mod my challenger rt 22 but idk where to start, should I start with the exhaust first? I want to make the car itself sound like a hellcat
Exhaust mods will make it sound amazing but you won't notice performance improvements. It all depends on what your after. If your looking for sound, the exhaust is easy-remove the mid mufflers and it will not disappoint! If your looking for performance, go with the supercharger. After boost, go with cam, headers, E85 and you will be looking at your next poroblem-traction!
@@kgsartin so I can throw a supercharger and cam in there after taking off the mufflers? And is buying a taser beneficial I see a lot of people with that
@@219jayy I have no experience with the taser. I use HP Tuners for all my mods. You can add the supercharger at anytime. Mine had the rear mufflers deleted when I first added the supercharger but it was so loud under boost, I switched the entire system to stock hellcat.
@@kgsartin ok I’m starting to understand what size supercharger is the best and last question what’s before boost and after boost? Is that before and after the supercharger?
@@219jayy Yep
THAT SOUNDS WONDERFUL 😮
Thank you!
Hellcat Lite Edition 😂 could still eat my mani 93 tune 5.0 for lunch Badass car dude, im sure it was fun to install
Thank you!
Thats really good whp right up there with a fbo, cam, e85 gen 2 coyote nice job man
Thanks, it was just a one weekend bolt on with an off the shelf tune. I had intended to go with cam and headers but haven’t yet. Many have recommended going e85 as well but it isn’t readily available in my area.
Are you going to do a video on how you put it all together and tuned it?? I got a few Dakota's that I'd like to convert.
I plan to move the computer under the console and possibly upgrade to MS3 eventually. Thanks for the idea, I could attempt to explain it.
how many miles do you have on that car, i have a 2009 rt with 160000 miles and was wondering if supercharging it would be a bad idea.
Mine has around 82,000. I’ve supercharged trucks with 160,000 plus miles with no issue. If it were mine, I wouldn’t worry about the miles.
🇺🇸💪
looks like an electronic CAD unit similar to what dodge has used forever in selectable awd/4wd models.
I’d say this part is used in several applications. I ordered it from Mopar but the huge delay (due to the strike), made me research further until I found the Dorman part on Rockauto. They got it to me in a couple days!
@@kgsartin 4wheeler guys convert them to manual select with a PTO type cable. might be a product idea for ya in there somewhere :)
@@DieselRamcharger That could possibly be done electronically as well. It’s annoying to use awd in these cars based on the ecm programming.
@@kgsartin yeah you can probably control the little actuators with a stepper motor controller. probably best to use like an arduino or pi environment, then you can easily code in window activation based off rpm/tps whatever or a simple switch. in my truck i just took it all apart and flipped a sleeve so its all time locked in now. mine was vac operated, so the cummins swap came with a few challenges. :)
@@kgsartin if you ever need some weird part gimme a shout! i run a cnc shop and i just help make parts for people like us. hot rodders with a dream!
holy crap where do you live? thats amazing scenery! im in phoenix..pretty bland out here.
WV, I was in AZ last summer. Wow, it was a hot one!
@@kgsartin oh nice we used to race in summit point wv. the terrible part is, last summer wasnt even a hot one! Super humid by our standards though...it was pretty gross.
@@DieselRamcharger It was tough on a fat country boy, lol! I haven’t heard of Summit Point. What part of WV is it in or is it still around?
@@kgsartin summit point is the town name. its up near northern va, actually its damn near in virginia. Shenandoah Valley where the baltimore and ohio rail lines intersect. kind of in between winchester va and hagerstown md
@@DieselRamcharger Pretty country over there but, I’ve never been to that track.
Wat exhaust did u have!?!!
In this video it had stock exhaust with cats and the resonators deleted.
Is there alot of heat soak? I been reading there is but is there a fix?
The only time I’ve experienced heat soak was on the dyno and that was my fault since I shut off the engine and water pump between runs. I’ve never noticed heat soak while driving.
I fixed mine by updating the fan settings and using a 180 t
Nice !
Thanks!
Does it whine more then the maggie
I would have no idea. I haven't been around a magnuson or whipple hemi. I would guess they are about the same.
So I got a Ford Mustang myself and I gotta ask, why is the bumper taken off of the dodge? Is it nessisary for installing parts on the motor or..? I'm asking because I've seen it a few times with Challenger's and I've been wondering "What's up with that?"
I had just finished installing the supercharger and just to do a quick sprint before reinstalling the bumper. The air filter, cooling coil, and water pump all mount behind it.
@@kgsartin oh, very intriguing. Good to know! I was thinking to myself "It isn't hard to find a bumper...is it?" But yeah that makes alot of sense with the space available. Does it all fit in well at least? Or shall I say, easily?
It all fits very well. There is some cutting required on the inner fender for the air inlet tube. The filter, coil, and the pump fit as though its a factory location. @@Kiule2
120 mph in first gear, that is an American car
This video was 4th gear direct drive.
If 1st gear hit 120 it wouldn't be able to even let off the clutch at any RPM without stalling, you'd need WAY more power and you'd need a crazy ass clutch and transmission
sleeper ass build wtf
Forgot to ask you the other day, but are you running the boost a pump and what size injectors? Personally I'd like to just do a drop in hellcat pump and injectors but not sure. I don't like the idea of using the boost a pump to max out the stock fuel system
Stock fuel pump with Kenne Bell boost a pump. If I remember correctly, the injectors are 46’s.
Love the view🫡💯

Unpopular take but that might sound better than a hellcat, much nicer engine tone in my opinion

How you liking that kennebell after all this time? I have a 2012 300c FBO and cammed. Gonna be doing forged drop ins here soon and been looking at superchargers. I really like the look of the kennebell and everything that I've read online which isn't much doesn't seem a lot of guys go this route most guys go with the whipple or pro charger.
I researched the supercharger options heavily and it came down to Whipple and Kenne Bell. I was quite discouraged with Whipple reusing the under hood air box. I also don’t wanna deal with a messy catch can and I don’t like the Jack shaft on the Whipple. After all the research, none offered what I wanted other than Kenne Bell. My car has had zero problems since adding the supercharger, (other than traction). I would recommend having someone tweak the included Kenne Bell tune as mine was quite rich. Even with the rich tune, it made nearly 500 hp at the wheels with stock manifolds and cats. I’ve only put 15,000 miles on it in the past few years but it has been 100% reliable and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
That's awesome to hear man! and yeah that's the big thing I like about the kennebell is it seems to be the only one with an actual cold air setup. and yeah i am tuned on hp tuners currently so I'll just have to get it retuned once I install the drop ins and blower. Thanks again man! what kinda 1/4 mile times are you getting? And do you have the nag1 ?@@kgsartin
