Callum's engine decided to blow up on a track day two weeks before the ring trip. After he found a GT86 with a replacement engine on Facebook the deal was done and we were ready to go. The swap went ok but we may have forgotten the reluctor wheel / crankshaft sensor plate... It was great fun fixing this car and one to remember for my personal 2023 motoring highlights. 60

Mick Causing Chaos - Back to Basic Bangers Smallfield Raceway 13/08/23

After the water machine lubed up the track it caused hell for the other drivers at the back-to-basics banger racing at Smallfields. Called out on the tannoy Mick some local legend was due to retire after his last weekend at Smallfields. He decided to give the spectators an epic show for his last race and ended up rolling his car and causing a huge smoke screen over the track.

The 4A-F is out of the Carina and at some point we will drop the 4AGE in but we are currently working on other projects. Off camera we have removed some bits from the bay but nothing exciting worth filming.

While motorbiking around Vietnam we passed the exact spot Clarkson, Hammond and May did in the special filmed back in 2008. Took it slow going round the pass as this trip was a crash course on how to ride a motorbike! Video was taken in 2019 on a GoPro.

I don't know doing a quick Google I can see people on forums talking about it. However, the 4-AF has a carburettor whereas the 4AFE is an injection.

You have to drive it like a manual to get the best out of them, so always select the max gear as low down to keep the revs up.
We really did have a blast in it while the owner's BRZ was out of action; videos on the channel if you want to see that one.

This engine would get lovely fresh oil from eurocarparts, not sure on the exact spec but it was changed regularly.
