I was the radar man on this plane that went down on a training flight on June 26, 1944 due to a gas leak, There were 13 men on board and all survived with various injuries. This was crew 14 of VPB116. We went on ito combat and survived the war. We served in the Central Pacific. The pilot was LT. I think those are pilot fish, and as shappell said they are using it for protection. From wha I know about them, they are immune to the jellyfish's sting. If something went after them it would end up with a nasty sting.
