Jon Theodore had a stack 10 years before it was cool. I remember smashing up a bunch of old cymbals to replicate that sound back in 2005.

These lyrics are definitely inspired by - if not literally about - Dune by Frank Herbert. Al-Sirat = Lansraat/"Sirat" quoted from the O.C. Bible Eunuchs = Fenring/The Guild Padishah = The Padishah Emperor "I caught mono [...] opiate copulation" = Fenring and the Guild's reliance on Spice to remain in power Etc. Etc. There's plenty more comparisons to be made
