You don't carry a pocket knife at all times? 6Ps man. If you need to emergency block the battery you've already screwed up.
antivirus is not necessary on android unless u sideload lot of apps from unreliable sources
normal android phones do have tap to wake or always on display, its just the unplugged phone that doesnt have it or you haven't gone to settings to see if such option exists
log in for the app store is conserning, kill switches are cool tho
this is interesting...
Whatever you do, don’t show a close up of what you’re describing. 🙄
Loving the sweater dude I hear what your saying, truth
Imagine for a second saying you don't know how to use the software and then say it doesn't work. Key Tip: Learn the software and then give a review because you are clearly not a subject matter expert yet. Not many are going to care nor should care about your clearly unknowledgeable review. I want my time back. This was 0 help
150mbps at 40 knots awesome haha
Thanks! This always confused me.
Bro ..TEACH ME
Nailed it dude. I've been having the exact same thoughts for a long time now. I have a lot of other thoughts on this as well, particularly in the REST vs GraphQL realm.
One comment: the sensor where the “white light” comes from on the Meta Ray Bans can’t be covered by black tape or anything else. There is another sensor mounted there to ensure that nothing is covering that spot. Why? The Meta team wanted to ensure that you can’t just cover that spot and record everyone in public without them knowing.
Nyedis, I know exactly about the data sources that you are talking about. If you truly have access to them, aren’t you violating the terms of access to them…or are you accessing the data sources through…”ahem”…another method?
That's disappointing :/ had high hopes for the phone
use black nail polish or whatever colour your glasses are. also, some people just want to use them in work without getting caught.
Yet it's no where near if experienced dev could build it as well as maintain later. All those one page apps are worthless and already solved by a lot of companies without AI.
I just want to make fly on the wall food travel videos. that light is such a let down immersion breaker
Permanent marker
Pimeyes is not that great.
If you buy the next version I suggest not hitting that kill switch until you turn it off first because by doing that it may have messed lots of things up. Test it for months first then you can try doing the kill switch again without turning it off first. 😁
Try a different keyboard first
it doesn't matter whether its using the Meta glasses or if you just use your phone camera and snap pictures and use a face recognition (reverse image search) API service. You dont' need a live stream feed. You just need to capture frames at a low rate and take those frames and prune the faces and then do a reverse image search. you can refine that with later. whether you call it "DOXING" for clickbait is another thing. It can be a positive thing if you are at the park with your kids and be able to recognize criminals or sex offenders via an alert is great...if you are out in public, theirs no privacy violation to take someone's picture nor looking up what the internet has from social media profiles that they choose to create.
A grown man saying "rad" all the time is pretty ridiculous. Picking slayer as the band is also so childish.
yet the award of the most childish one goes to you, the one picking a part small details about someone on the internet... you sound like my 6 year old niece. Oh, and to top it off, none of the details are even related to the video content
No. Windsurf sucks now. 2 months it was mind boggling - but that was eon's ago in AI time. Cline or RooCline + Aider + Deepseek R1 are the best - and cheapest - stack you can have.
hey, how are you staying up to date on all this?
Have fun when you have a MRI, LOL
They are creepy, I only had these since Christmas as a gift from the wife(since I video my mtb trail rides, drone etc etc) and I’ve gotten couple weird looks already even without the light being on.
Sad about the indeed thing after an invitation to talk but I probably would have embarrassed myself anyway :D We're on the same page on a lot of this. I'm not sure about the intermediate steps between now and when everyone just has custom apps. Cursor with Claude is still not perfect (and frankly why is Anthropic just sitting on their hands? I noticed they're hiring people with gov clearance now... ) However, my kid had an idea.. music discovery the same way they used to use tiktok before the ban (that lasted soooo long lol) and I built it in a couple hours. Still needs some work but Claude did everything. I just copy paste the errors to it, test out the website. If you're a dev, we're already at the part where we can make a million mini-saas. How long before my kid could have just talked to an ai and did it herself? I really don't think it's that far away. I don't think the time period of when micro saas start being produced and then they're going viral.. to ... the point where everyone just has their local ai develop it and manage it for them. Business is different. I told my previous company this was coming on pretty much day one of gpt 4 but they didn't believe me. I think you're right when people experience the increased productivity that developers already get out of llms it will finally start mass adoption. If you pair Cursor-Claude with automated testing, screenshots and github with issues that's when we'll see the whole "agent just handles everything from the top down" thing. (Why hasn't cursor integrated github yet??? LOL Wondering if the one Adam uses, the name escapes me now, has github integrated) One more thing that I've been predicting for a while, might take a bit longer but it relates to the API thing: at the point when agents can write interface code almost instantly, will we drop html websites altogether? Why do you need them when data can be served by an API and the agent can interpret the data and provide an interface in the style that you prefer? I've considered the paid API thing too but I was considering it from the perspective of personal social media. Like your own youtube channel that google has no say in. Enjoyed the video :) ty
This is dangerous information. Not entirely confident this should be disclosed to the public, especially UA-cam lol.
thanks for the tips
Sounds like the perfect phone for a 12 yr old girl… she doesn't need a smart phone that gives her unlimited freedom anyways
did anyone brave ENOUGH to heat up needle under fire 🔥 and slowly get inside light? it should go easy inside just to break light if needle is hot it will go inside easy as like knife nto butter and the creator should update this video that it no longer work to cover light as leaving it on while more then half of the comments saying its wrong seems it telling something about the person
you wrong i tried all kind of tapes to cover only middle light and it dont work !!!!!!! so you shohld delete misleading video !
iPhone have had swipe gestures for a good while now, including swipe to go back. Also, you literally ignored the big red warning saying it cold cause issues and then you complain about issues... Besides that, of course you'll have to give a lot of stuff up to get full privacy. That's how it works. We live in the age of technology, being tracked is part of being online. The problem are the laws allowing it, not the tech itself. Totally agree on the subscription based features. $1000 should warrant built in features to work. They could have other services that have subscriptions, but since the whole device is centered around privacy that should be available.
It doesn't have anything better than an S24 ultra or an IPhone 15 in this prince range, not to mention os and security updates are not guaranteed for so many years like on a iphone or samsung, why even buy it? You put your data at risk with this no-name company and you'll cry later...
Dude, what's he say? "I would be able to see right... if its recording" What? 1:20
Technically you can get these apps that are google dependencies to work. Sandboxing google services in vms, using alternative stores like Aurora Store, F-Droid & Droidify. It seems like a lot of folks that use this Unplugged Phone aren't techsavy and just whatever promotes a product with corporate buzzwords that don't mean anything for indepth. I don't trust this phone as its not open-source, no github repo like GrapheneOS & CalyxOS has. This screams honeypot to me
A Pixel 8a with Graphene OS is far more privacy friendly, affordable, secure way way more secure, and apps actually work.
I am glad you did this video though not that you'll see my comments but I'm glad you did this video it was very informative thank you
Then you have all these gung ho Freedom American type people who see that they can sell all that bullshit to a very large group of Americans while it in and of itself being bullshit cuz we can't forget that 90% of these people are just out to make money and they will lie to you they will mark it things however is necessary to make money because I promise you if you want to buy a high-speed Security phone you just have to find the right company and they already have them built but everything is open they have built and control all of the hardware software and information highways you cannot hide from them them being the people who run this world who we just thought were dumb idiot politicians or greedy corporate leaders yes they're the idiots that are out in front of everything but everything that has been released to the public already has back doors in it
I'm not too tech savvy but I'm pretty sure all these companies that want our data they've already got it even if it tells you no we're not taking data or this app or software is blocking the data from being taken it's all bullshit the vpns take our information and sell it 99% of the people don't even think about checking it but that is how vpns make so much money it's really clever actually you want privacy among other things well we're the company that can get it to you then you take all that data and you sell it yourself instead of it being sold straight to whatever companies are selling it and or stealing it but what people have to understand all of your data all of it security number down to the very last text message post or voicemail or anything else you've sent is accessible there is no privacy it's like the lockmaker telling the customer that their lock is completely secured while they have a key to that very lock now I imagine if you're super into Tech you can figure out ways to block and hide things but most of this stuff it's all Bs and that unplugged phone probably doesn't have a good chipset in it
lol nice theory! Proof? Tik tok already has all the info off the phones that have it installed. You can’t even show an example using a celebrity for privacy protection as you claim. Tweeker!!
Creepy glasses? You are funny, there are cameras all around us, you walk in the store you are on camera, in a parkade you are on camera, external cameras are on the streets, cops with bodycams and dashcams filming us from the cars, people facetiming from their phones etc and NONE of them have any lights telling you anything about it, and yet the glasses are the creepy ones.
You could cover the light with nail polish on the original version of the glasses. Meta "fixed" that.
NYEDIS never updated the UP Store or the firmware. You can tell because a week later his privacy button is still in the old shipped format, not updated. Instructions were clear and provided but clearly not read by the reviewer. This is a terrible review by a person who appears to not clearly understand the operations of various smart phones, Big Tech agendas, cyber security or carrier behavior. Unplugged and a few others have developed a phone tool for professionals, not children of the modern age, regardless of your birthdate. Taking an Android and loading GrapheneOS onto it does not make it the same as an Unplugged phone. If you believe this you need more proper tech education about how smartphones truly work. The kill button is recessed for a reason and the SIM card pin key works well. Put it on your keychain. Professionals who travel internationally know when to shut these phones down. There is also a Self Destruct feature you must setup after you correctly update the firmware. Does anybody see the value in not having your digital signature recorded at each cell tower? How about disappearing messages? Anybody see value in that? Only a few people read nowadays which is the fundamental of all learning, but videos are replacing this for convenience because people are lazy. The same information is not shared in a video versus reading technical data. The reason this phone is required is because many of us were lazy to prevent our data from being collected and were unwilling to implement proper legislation locally. Personally, I’m tired of fighting wars for people who are too lazy to read tech specs and believe Big Tech only uses your data for advertising and when you learn the truth you ignore it because it’s convenient to fit your laziness. Patriots will use this phone. Not tech children. I won’t meet you on the next battlefield. I will be going past you at warp speed to protect and maintain this experiment of a government that is currently in failure with your help. “Keep Up The Fire” - Manchus!
Good review. I didn't know this phone existed until I saw an ad on Reddit. I then googled reviews and came across a shorter video, where like you I thought the kill switch button isn't useful. If I'm being held up at gun point I want to be able to "kill the phone" immediately with a quick and hidden move. I then googled more reviews and came across your video. Good video. Like you, I'm not a fan of Android.
So I got a pair of these for both my daily prescription glasses, but also as a fun project on this very hack. I am however, worried that once I do go through the process, I won't be able to use them for their originally intended purpose, or possibly not get updates after it's been tampered with. Have you lost any functionality or are you aware of any issue flashing this back to original software/firmware? Not sure I want to ruin them for a fun project after spending over a grand on them.
He hasn't changed anything in the glasses. He just picked the streamed video of facebook. So basically, in the whole process, meta glasses dosent matter. All you need is a video which in this case coming from glasses. Nothing is going to happen to your glasses as you haven't changed anything in them thay void your warranty or break it.
Appreciate it for publishing this! I need advice: My Crypto Wallet contains some TRX 20 USDT, and I know the recovery phrase: -clean- -party- -soccer- -advance- -audit- -clean- -evil- -finish -tonight- -involve- -whip- -action-. Could you suggest how should I handle sending them to KuCoin?
Interesting that phones don't have any flashing lights to indicate if they're recording, considering this is how most people record, whether stealthily or not.
For security/bodyguard work we use it with cover on…
