Kinda want to give my D10 AU here, I think I cooked ngl Formerly BR number D810, “Cockade” was better known simply as “Ten” as he was the tenth member of his class (kind of) In 1972, he was withdrawn, and purchased by the Ministry of Defense to be converted into an experimental armoured locomotive, with a claw at the top to remove debris on the track, or to dig up booby traps (this idea came about due to the Viet Cong’s use of various traps in the Vietnam War, which was well in progress at the time) The project, known as “Project Pincer”, was completed in early 1973, and although it was successful, the changing nature of warfare led to the MOD shelving the idea, as armoured locomotives became somewhat obsolete in the age of atomic weapons. In addition, the claw meant that Ten was slightly too tall for standard British loading gauge. Intent on getting their money’s worth, the MOD assigned Ten to Fort Sudrian, the Naval Base at the end of the Kirk Ronan branch line, which had just retired its former engine, Lt. Xander. Ten now acts as both the base’s pilot, and as overseer for any rail-based deliveries, holding the rank of Warrant Officer. He was allowed to retain the claw, as it was seen as useful, and Sodor’s loading gauge is slightly higher than that of the rest of Britain. When Ten does need to make a delivery to the mainland, the claw is simply detached and left at the base. Though the other engines are often intimidated by Ten, he really isn’t a bad engine. He is, however, very strict with operations on his base, frequently ridiculing Splatter and Dodge, the two NWR Diesels that handle deliveries to the base. His voice/demeanor can be compared to that of Simon “Ghost” Riley from the Call of Duty Modern Warfare Reboot. He’s gruff, often quite blunt, and strict, but any engine that gets to know him will tell you that he’s actually a decent chap. And although rumours say that he’s torn engines apart with his massive claw, “Pinchy” as Ten has named it, is nowhere near powerful enough to scrap an engine.

Do you plan to get like any other Bachmann Thomas stuff to be like TVS accurate or do you only collect the Hornby Thomas stuff?

I won't get hornby dart because of how overscaled he is and the fact that his wheels are exposed and have side rods which are VERY inaccurate to the CGI model and the real locomotive he was based on that and because of how rare and expensive he is if I want an ho / 00 Dart I'm going to have to convert a take n play dart to ho using a bachmann Gandy dancer he would look much more accurate compared to the Hornby model not to mention properly scaled

2:46 is literally so true because I only make OC’s as jokes or if they are absolutely necessary for lore and stuff in my AU, (e.g. the Wellsworth and Suddery engines.) I like lots of OCs but I don’t think that all of them would fit on sodor. Plus I think it’s better to repurpose/rewriting existing engines instead of creating entirely new ones.

I would imagine if Dart has some of its surviving family of his little shunting engines. 🤔

I think freakdart deserves his own UA-cam channel where he just corrects other people for a living, oh, if you didn’t know, hornby intended to make den, but the range was canned before he could release, they did release him eventually, but without his Sodor colours and face.

2:42 That is why I don't like many of the OCs people make. They either don't serve any purpose but for its creator to be in the series, or they are completely original and everybody loves them and wants to use them. For instance - Alfred (who was nameless in the RWS), The Red Engine/Eagle(same as 98462), Richard, Timothy the ghost engine, WildNorWester's OCs and so on.

I’m just going to Point out the obvious. This series was good but the only issue it had was tone and sticking with realistic and goofy. Some of the stories felt like they actually had a plot and others not. The stories with the realistic plot feel like you’re following the characters and actually telling a story. You have to models,Equipment,Editing and story material. That’s the only issue with the series is focusing too much on being silly and funny instead of actual stories that took Themselves seriously. Plenty of opportunity staring you right in the face but if I had to say anything. Restart the entire thing with a more serious tone and taking your time on the episodes so you’re actually enjoying writing them and filming them. I’m late to this but I might as well say it since it’s been on my mind
