    I still have one credit card because of travel. Some rental car companies won’t accept debit cards. One of the rental places that did, would only accept debit for the lowest tier car, not for sedans, SUVs, or trucks. That said, I treat my credit card as a debit card. Pay it completely off every week and have never paid interest because I’ve never owed after the statement payment is due.

      @stevent7590 I've heard that also, regarding rental companies... and I know policies can differ depending on the company. But I love what you shared, that you're using your CC like a tool, and pay it off every month (every week even!), so you're living within your income 👍👌 thanks for sharing!

    Great advise . I like that you have separate accounts for the three categories. Do you have a separated debit card for each account? Would going out to a restaurant be under food or personal spending? I am the way you used to be in the grocery store. I’m a hot mess lol!!!

    • @moneywisemom111
      @moneywisemom111 20 днів тому

      @ammieleigharonson we put eating out under food just because we notice it more if we start eating away at our grocery money too fast...for us that's what works better. But you could also put it in personal/entertainment as a kind of splurge category. It's SO expensive to eat out these days...even "fast food"...so we do a lot more at home lately

    Thank you. I have a low deductible/PPO plan and come to think of it, I really don't need it. I will consider switching to high deductible in October and focus on funding the HSA account as much as possible. Very good info. I hope your son is ok. Kids are resilient! :)
