Back to Basics Furniture Flipping w/ HomeRight Sprayer
As soon as I saw this piece I knew I had to have it. I adored everything about it. I think the primary part of the buffet that drew me in were the doors. I usually only see doors on the sides however this one had four. FOUR. I was very excited to start on this piece because it was all strategically planned in my head how it was going to be refinished.
I was stuck between Country Chic Paint Driftwood and Sunday Tea. I ultimately chose Sunday Tea since I decided to paint another piece Driftwood. You’ll see that in the next coming weeks. The top was sanded down to reveal the beautiful wood grain. I didn’t want to stain it with wood stain. I used one of my favorite techniques when it comes to furniture refinishing and that is making a stain out of paint. I simply did a 4:3 ratio of water to paint, then mixed them together. Your ratio could be different than mine depending on how transparent you want your stain to be. I sealed the entire piece with Clear Coat.
Products I used in this video:
- Spackle.
- RYOBI Orbital sander.
- 80, 150, and 220 grit sandpaper.
- Krud Kutter + paper towels.
- Foam brush + cloths.
- Green painters tape.
- BIN 123 and Bin Cover Stain. Spray can version.
- Country Chic Paint Sunday Tea.
- Country Chic Paint Clear Coat
- Homerights Sprayer.
- Particle mask.
- New knobs and pulls from local hardware store.
- Redesign With Prima Transfer for interior doors.

I haven’t painted a piece green in a long time. I think the last time I painted something green was last year, something like that, in general it’s been a while haha. I had two colour options. Well I had many ideas but I was persistent about green. I was between Jitterbug by Country Chic Paint or Thymeless by House and Canvas. Both would have looked great but I really envisioned Thymeless with ...

Its been a while since I've worked on furniture! This piece was actually filmed in July but I only got around to editing this video now, a month and a half later haha. Ugh, I've been so busy with my other job that it's taking all of my time to work on furniture, luckily I have weekends though so I should be fine... right? Let's say yes and see! This piece was painting in Country Chic Paint Cut ...

I typically don't do big pieces like this, but after seeing countless Instagram posts and other artists makeover these old, vintage, and simply boring hutches, I just had to take on the project. I'm so glad I did though, because she turned out even better than I would have ever imagined! I surprise myself sometimes. It was painted in @CountryChicPaint in the color Cut a Rug, a light grey with b...

#100challenge Even though this dresser didn't turn out exactly how I imagined it, it still turned out beautifully. Honestly, the only thing that I wish was different was the black transfer, however I think that the vintage/antique look it gave is extra special and unique. It's painted in Country Chic Paint in the color With A Twist. The color has always terrified me, but now that I have seen it...

I’ve always had my doubts about this color, but after using it for the first time a month ago, I became absolutely obsessed with it! It’s painted in Country Chic Paint in the color Driftwood, a warm brown that is a perfect neural color. I sanded down the top to natural wood and sealed the whole piece with Clear Coat. I kept the original hardware but spaced it out a bit because they were too cen...

Words cannot describe this piece, or maybe it's just because I'm tired and can't figure out what to say. Same difference. It took me about a month to completely refinish it start to end. Usually it takes me a day or two but it wasn't the case for this ugly duckling. It had four layers of paint that had to be stripped off, but the catch is: it was lead paint. Why is that a big deal? Lead paint i...

It's always nice when you're known in your community and when people think of you right away when they hear the words "furniture refinishing artist". I received a text from one of my followers asking if I wanted to have this hepplewhite piece for free, and of course I said yes! Hepplewhite is my all time favorite style of furniture because of the curves and handles. It was in rough shape when I...

I’ve been on an MCM furniture flipping roll! This was unfortunately the last MCM piece I had in my inventory, but don’t worry, there are many MANY projects that are stacked in my garage that are dying to be painted. This piece is painted in Country Chic Paint in the colour Liquorice, a pure black. Now the drawers. Oh the drawers. They gave me a little trouble because I couldn’t figure out if I ...

Quite a difference from my two previous posts! My other two posts were MCM, but now take a look at this classic and elegant beauty. Huge shoutout to Katie (Salvaged by K. Scott) and Becky/Kelsey (The Sorry Girls) for giving me the idea/inspiration! I finally did it! After watching many videos about fluted furniture, I created one myself. I browsed the internet to see how much they sell for and they range anywhere between $1600-$5000 . Yeah, I’d say no thank you haha! Is this piece 100% perfect? No, but nothing ever is. It’s...

I do my best work in PJ. 🙃 Very nice work.
Nice peice to work on....
Beautiful. I’m doing a provincial nightstand right now with a very similar green and also black walnut top ❤
5 min video - lots of descriptive explanative verse rambling type talking.
Great job -- go big brain. How many cans of primer did you end up using? Love how you simple explanations and reasoning. What were your dry times? Did you do the inside of the drawers? Will subscribe.
Hi Brandon. I live in Montréal and am in search of some used furniture pieces for my home. Can you tell me where I can go to find some? I remember seeing a video of yours where you went to some large place maybe in Old Montréal? Thank you for your help and welcome back!
I thought I was the only one that say " Any who. " I like dark stains. Good choice color.. Great color combo. Awesome staging.
❤❤❤❤so beautiful 🤩
I vote longer videos, I like talking. I like knowing how you came by your pieces, what you're doing or using, etc. Also, how much the pieces sell for or tips on staging. Thanks for your videos, I'm a newer subscriber.
Beautiful!
Hi Brandon. Nice to see you back on UA-cam. Can you tell me where in Montréal you go to look for used furniture pieces?
I really liked the videos you did before w/ the talking. Fun to see your personality 😊. Keep them coming!
where's the final shot? and I appreciate the painted covered clothes!
Posting it on Saturday 👀
I enjoy your videos with the talking. Just do you. They are great
Rockstar
I would like the videos a bit longer with about the same amount of talking. Your work is amazing. I also like hearing where people get their pieces, how much they paid and how much they sold them for if you are interested in including that in your content.
What a beautiful finish you gave this piece. I vote longer videos and I like talking. But, whatever you want. It is your channel!
Be yourself and longer videos ....I loved your content Before you took your long break...stay true to yourself like before .glad you're back 🥰👍
Great to have you back.
Thanks for coming back love your work.
Longer videos with minimal talking👍
I was wondering what happened to you.
Hey Brandon. Nice job. Do you still have the old hardware from that piece? If so, I'd be interested in the small drawer pulls.
Beautiful💙
Lovely work on this one! The top and the colour of the front really work well
I think your look is awesome. Kind of like a piece of furniture, distressed and worn. My kind of style. And as for the dresser. I loved how it took the paint. It made it look old and distressed. Love it.
Your eye for color is amazing. What part of the world are you located?
Beautiful
Looks great
Glad you’re back. The paint looks like an avocado/olive green when you worked on it, but blue undertone in the staging. Interesting. It turned out great.
So, so beautiful!!
so glad u r back! love the dresser!
Really nice! Good job!
Yeah you are back!!! I’m Soooo happy! I missed your videos and your dry sense of humor. I was just thinking about you! You did an awesome job as per usual. DDecker
Beautiful!
Brandon you are the cutest! Keep up the great work and show more of your great personality.
I've missed you, Brandon! Welcome back! That wood top is STUNNING.
Also the bonus clip at the end made me burst into laughter 😂😂😂
I missed you! Your work is beautiful!!
Great to see you once again. Missed your work and your wit.
It was nice to see u again. Enjoy your videos
Yay!
I'm so happy to see you back Brandon. Periodically I was checking you channel because I thought I wasn't getting the notifications that you posted a video. I'm glad you are okay. I just painted a nine drawer dresser with the Thymeless colour. My was just a boring 1980's dresser, so took the original base off and built an oak one. Also changed the drawer pulls to oak and stained to match the base. It sold very quickly for my asking price. Your french provincial turned out amazing. I love this colour on it with the black hardware and stained top. GREAT job as always. Looking forward to future video's. From one Ontarion to another, have an awesome day!
Glad you are back! Love the finish on this. Classic! 💖💖💖
Beautiful job. Worth the wait.
Glad to see you post again. I have missed your wit and charm young man. Loved the color.
Look who decided 2 come out of the 🐇 hole...
