Heh, the "Wheel of Pain" from the 90s Addams Family movie. Morticia (on the wheel) and Gomez both gave their captor that same glare when their romantic moment was ruined.
I didnt even know that was a reference to that. I just saw it and thought it fit. I've been meaning to go back and watch the old stuff tho. I especially like watching Uncle Fester in the old black and white addams family
@@fanficreadings8959 I just so happened to have watched some Gomez and Morticia UA-cam videos yesterday (reading that Wenclair story about a lovestruck demon Wednesday inspired me to look up the classic Addams relationship) and I saw that moment. There was a great line in that scene from Morticia where she declares how if she lived a day alone without Gomez, only THAT would be death, and it could fit a romantic but death-interested Wednesday Addams perfectly.
We finally get a twist on the premiere episode, quickly derailed by Yoko picking up the truth.
Why did they write her so cruel
Because the whole point is that Wednesday could not beat to see Enid in pain, despite being a demon who is meant to relish in it, she found she could not. She fell for Enid on sight. And sometimes a parent is cruel just because, and that's the saddest thing about it
