Thrown into a RUSSIAN PRISON with Charlie Walker and his brush with Putin’s RUSSIA
Explorer Charlie Walker wanted to blaze a new trail through the Russian Arctic. Instead, he spent a month in a Siberian prison. Here, he tells us the story.
Yakutsk is a world away from Kyiv, over 9,000km away. Alone in the arctic wilderness, the British explorer initially hoped that distance would be enough to keep him safe. He had no way of knowing that just being a foreigner was now dangerous.
The Russian army had rolled into eastern Ukraine just three days after Walker flew into the remote city of Yakutsk. He had planned an ambitious 1,600km ski and sledge expedition along the frozen Lena River, learning about the region’s indigenous population as he travelled.

How long was your journey down river Severn?
Your closed captioning is shit.
Eva thanks for showing real face of Pakistan lots love from sialkot Pakistan🇵🇰
Backstabber! A disgusting human being.
Wow, only a few comments. It was a fabulous documentary.
Good on you for picking up all the trash and raising some awareness!
I never used fins on the river, you don’t need them, i always lower myself on rapids or sit down
Pakistan is very beautiful place and second travel come tu pakistan 🇵🇰
I love❤ Pakistan🇵🇰🇵🇰 so beautiful
This is eye opening and shows the media is deceptive or sensationalism. I have friends from Pakistan and they're so nice!
Beautiful, brave, and talented....tqvm Livia.
Just rate in term of landscape among top 10 countries
@John Horsfall Why is youtube algorithm not picking your channel? Do we need to wait the regular 10 years cycle?
Woahh
We are cut off from their world, makes me sad 😔
Well I'm that.
The doc was so captivating and eloquently produced! Journalism in its purest form,,, Please produce more… Livia, you have a fan in me… ❤❤
What happened to the podcasts?! Hope you're okay 😢❤
Her Series Was Beautiful And Soo Fascinating She Needs To Do More ❤❤
I loved loooooooooooved this documentary and her her crew and the family and tribe she lived with was just so uplifting to me I really enjoyed it and I really enjoyed this interview you had with her alot it answered a lot of questions I wondered and some I hadn’t thought of and really impressed me too my personal most important question to me was if she still keeps in touch with the family and a big part of me internally knew the answer because of exactly what she said there isn’t a way except like what I thought just show up. I really hope she gets or has had being it’s been a few years now and i behind on this all lol so maybe she has by now I hope ❤thank you for this podcast interview very much appreciated ❤
Be wary of many of Morrison's claims.
certainly a great adventure. I have a stand up paddle board myself. However I do have to acknowledge that picking up plastic on an iSUP is contradicting because the plastic you are standing on is harder to recycle than the plastic you are picking up. iSUPs are made of PVC type 3 non recyclable plastic. All of which will end up in landfill. Companies that produce iSUPs do a great job at covering this truth because they are making profit from it. But they are producing so many, what can we do. Might as well enjoy it. The issue won't be addressed until it becomes an emergency.
Just finished his book 'along roads that echo' and this guy is a fucking g
Nice
What did you do with the plastic you picked up? Surely you’d have had like loads to bring on your board?
how lucky are you
Inspirational...😮
Just bought Jupiter's Travels online...It better be good!! :)
Why no Whey?👹🏋🏻🙏🏻🏊♀️
Wonderful video!
Great interview. Jordan's a real inspiration!
Fantastic. We'll done. One daft question. What did you do with boards when you went into Town to eat, etc?
Until your stood on a base exit in the dark and on your own asking yourself what the fcuk am I doing. You don’t really know your self 😆
No pics or videos. How could you post this without any pics. Smh
You mean taste test?
What a total W⚓
Awesome, would love to give this a go!
Well done to both of you!
Great video. What are you using for gear, specifically the jacket and pants/waders?
I make it with 3 scoops of the powder which then gives me 60g protein and I find it fills me up and is good for my weight loss journey.
Hi Vedangi it was nice to listen you on podcast it’s really motivating
Really enjoyed this! I’m from Shrewsbury and would like to do a big paddle like this! 😊😊
😂😂😂😂 en español sería mejor
Great video, would to attempt the same journey. Well done both 👍🏻
Yep it's justified get rid of putin uk can't keep taking more immigrants in
Slightly older person haha 26 is a kid. I'm 38 and a top 50 world Athlete and would smash my 21 and 26 year old self. The reason people under 30 struggle the most and get into trouble more than others is because there Lungs are not fully devloped. 40s is peak climbing age lungs wise. And yes I'm also an exercise scientist.
my man got the whole curriculum
@@martinduran2557yes it’s usually people with no common sense
26 still a kid Lungs are still developing and not peak. Far from.
If you're going to have closed captioning on as part of the video (i.e., not the CC that the viewer can select or de-select), you should at least edit it instead of retaining all the errors!
Great effort. Thanks for taking me along.
