7 Days to Die, officially released by The Fun Pimps in June 2024, is a survival horror game that combines zombie survival, crafting, and base building. Players must survive in a post-apocalyptic world while defending against waves of zombies, with particularly challenging "blood moon" hordes arriving every 7 days.
Rebirth Overhaul mod by Furious Ramsay:
The Rebirth Overhaul mod fundamentally transforms 7 Days to Die through several major system changes. At its core is a "Learn by Doing" progression system where skills only advance through active use, paired with a class system that creates defined character archetypes (with multiclassing available at higher levels).
Combat is significantly intensified with new enemy types and progression mechanics. The mod introduces multiple boss types, including four buffing sub-bosses, explosive Seekers that summon kamikaze units, and a magic-based Wraith tied to the witch doctor class. Zombies become progressively tougher through a kill-count system, evolving from standard zombies through feral (glowing eyes), radiated (green), and ultimately to tainted (purple) variants. Higher-level mutated zombies can spawn lower-level ones, creating cascading threats.
The class system introduces unique abilities and auras that provide random triggered damage bonuses. In multiplayer, these auras can be shared among party members within range. Character progression is more challenging, requiring players to balance experience between class advancement and weapon skill development. Skills are attribute-locked, meaning players must use tools and weapons governed by specific attributes to advance in related perks.
The mod expands the game's challenges beyond blood moons with new events including:
Outbreak hordes that continuously spawn zombies
Boss events
Larger wandering hordes
Trapped air drops that trigger attacks when looted
Crafting has been overhauled with additional stations and streamlined processes (like removing the need for pre-smelting at forges). Base building requires more involved processes for creating materials, and early-game player made storage is more challenging to obtain. To counter new threats like Seekers' continuous explosive damage, players can craft specialized explosion-resistant concrete.
Early game progression is notably more difficult, with a heavy emphasis on mining to maintain ammunition supplies. The biome difficulty progression has been reordered, and the mod includes several POI packs that expand exploration options. While loot distribution remains similar to vanilla, more items can be collected from POIs for trading purposes.
Overall, the Rebirth Overhaul creates a more challenging and complex survival experience that rewards specialization and tactical gameplay while introducing new threats and progression systems that fundamentally change how players approach survival.

Was tired of repeated audio export issues with video editor... so spent the last couple of days learning to use a new program with a more involved interface. Sorry for the delay. Now to figure out my mic sensitivity yet again...

Heya MPL!! I did notice the light marker when I was editing today's episode. I did find a few new areas when I was cleaning up the bodies and blood later. Glad I found it before horde night. Didn't need to be flanked yet again. 😂
@@DwarfWithBeer Glad to hear it! One thing I did do with that POI was to make the boulder rock with a custom block - rock that doesn't spawn zombies on the boulder behind you during horde night... 😉

Had issue with audio when exporting video, my solution put the audio "slightly" out of sync with the video.
if you scarp hd books one at a time and get the blueprints the pics workbench allows you to craft new ones you don't have so it's pretty good also its a bench that UA-cam does not like so put it out of the way and use it off Camra if you got it unlocked
The schematic bench was one of the last three schematics that I was able to find and it requires the HD workbench to create. I had plenty of scrapped schematics If I could finally make it.

I have the vanilla and the HD workbench and the farm life table. Not familiar with the "picks" workbench. Can you expand on what it is or what it is for?

missed hidden loot behind fake wall in the bathrooms to the right by the last toilets it has 5+ wall safes and 5+ hidden staches

Oh I definitely know that by now... was a blast. You'll see the result of me taking on the pirates soon. I think POIs like this break the max zombie in the world cap.
had some lag this episode mostly in the first quest
I know. that will clear up in a few episodes. Aside from the usual wondering horde spawns I also had an app running in the background with a runaway cache file.
soundproofing fume might help reduce random stuff picked up on mic
good call. the pop screen I have does nothing for picking up fan noise or any of the other incidental noises from elsewhere in my house...
the music is a bit louder than your mic is kind of hard to hear you
This is last episode recorded prior to the mic level adjustment. The new problem going forward is all the low sounds the mic is picking up.

need hd turbo bike mod for bike also try to rush the framer class for best shotgun in war3zuk mod it might help
First thing I did once getting back to base was checking of there were War3zuk specific bike mods, made the mod @ 27:16. I've been kinda scatter-brained about doing the quests. Haven't been "focusing" on a specific one, thanks for the hint. Can't give any spoilers on future episodes... but i've completed 3 at this time.

also, air drops spawn a ton of zombies when trying to loot them

also, if you get HD recipes you already have scrap them for use later also you have to scrap them one at a time also if you go to trader jen you might have to blur her model or you might have the video get age restricted
Rest assured I've seen Jen's new makeover... Not my first rave. Haven't decided how I'm gonna edit those videos as of yet. I found the HD schematics scrapped to something new when I was looking to get more paper for shotgun shell crafting.

I hear you loud and clear man. I'm constantly tinkering with the audio settings. It sounds clear when I listen on PC/Laptop with headphones but when I stream it in my car I can't hear shit on max. All constructive feedback is welcomed!!
did some digging in the settings and my capture software was at 100% but the system setting on mic was gimping it at 86%. Changes won't be apparent until ep.16 or so unfortunately...

Much appreciated catch there, it happens from time to time with late night editing/uploading... It took a few days before my looting yielded the rucksack mod. (Spoilers!!) It also took a few days before I noticed that one of the loading page tips was dedicated to the new inventory expansion mod.
It was a miracle this video got uploaded. My editing software kept crashing while exporting over and over and over.
