The adds tell you it can accomodate two helmets. This is a bit of a stretch. Our two medium sized X-803 ( no spoiler ) and GT-AIR2 will not fit unless you put them on the side, push them hard together and squeeze the lid really hard. Which will leave scratches on the helmets. I had no idea how it would work and look on a 1290 SAS and couldn´t find any info. So, if anyone is considering the same...

Recently got Shift Assist Pro. Butter smooth up and down. This is much better than what i had on Tuono, Street Triple RS, CB1000R. It´s right up there with 790 Duke. No idea why so many reviewers call it clonky? (Apologies for the wind buffeting. My athletic thighs creating too much turbulence)

Way too long video of the SC can. Skip through to hear it in different conditions. There is some wind noise. But i think the sound comes through ok. Not too noisy. A bit more "raspy" than the stock can. No noticeable change in performance. So that´s it from a damp/muddy road at 8°C

Evotech Performance radiator guard and engine cover. And a home made SP Connect(ish) phone holder. Excellent installation guide from EP as always. Easy job.

A single helmet is no problem. Even an ADV helmet.

The OEM 12V charger is supposed to have a flap, a cover... Well at least mine does.
I kept the cover in my pocket and only put it on when washing the bike.

Can you tell me who is the manufacturer of this case? It has the KTM logo, but it looks like a Shad SH58X.
I bought it at a KTM dealer and it has a KTM partnumber. It might be manufactured by Shad. But i don´t know. ktm-versand.de/en/powerparts/luggage/44680/top-case Edti : it IS SHAD. There is a small stamp inside the box.

Binder on both sides...but they fell off during winter preparation.

Hi, just a question to this useful video. Does it require an additional plate to fix the base? I have same motorcycle like you and as far I can see you mounted the base directly to the OEM carrier. Right? Regards
Yes, an additional plate is needed. This is the one : ktm-versand.de/en/powerparts/spare-parts/31139/top-case-carrier I also got the back rest kit which is highly appreciated by my wife🙂
I have the 2022 Rallye GS and now after this video I think the standard exhaust has better base levels
When you ride it, it is the other way around. Much more base on the Akrapovic. The recording is probably not good enough.

Just put 300 mile on a new to me gs1200 adventure rallye te, 2018 bike with 8600 miles on it, coming from a ktm 1090adventure , I was worried until I heard your bike 🤣 do they all sound like a bag of spanner’s ?🤣 having said that when I come from a jap inline four onto the ktm I thought wtf is this pile of crap 🤔🤣 but I got used to it and the bike won me over, now I’m on a gs🤣
This bike would look much better if it had the exhaust of the R1100S.
I have 1250 GSA with Akrapovic can. It’s definitely a deeper and more resonant sound but as someone else said, it can be a bit of a drone when touring, so I might put the standard can back on and enjoy a slightly quieter ride. Probably best to take the Akra off just in case I like the GS1300 when it hits the showrooms this autumn, although I’d probably go fo the Adventure, which will be end of 2024

Yes, and also keeping dirt off the suspension

Thanks. When you ride the bike and let it work from down low, there is clear difference. It is noticeable deeper with the Akrapovic.

If you want to make it sound really good you gotta get the Akrapovic headers as well. I have the full system on my 1200 Rallye and Is sounds amazing and revs better too.
I bet you are right. But i don´t want it to be really loud. To be honest, i mostly bought it because i got a good deal on it🙂
@@fredensminde That’s funny because so did I! Saw the end can at a Suzuki shop of all places at 50% discount. After I got it on was a bit disappointed with how mild it sounded so ordered up the headers too. They were expensive but bike has a real growl to it now and on the high side of 6000rpm has a very agreeable roar even thru earplugs. The headers are a lovely green/purple colour too so a tick in every box.

Just bought a gs1200 adventure rallye te 2018 with 8600 miles on it, never ridden a gs be or shaft drive, put 300 miles on it today, bike performed great, really stable on a fast road, now I put my ktm 1090 adventure in part ex and that sounded like a bag of spanner’s when cold and was really noisy, the gs is quieter but also sounds a bit like a bag of spanner’s when ridden slowly, didn’t have ear plugs in today and when riding with visor open I’m listening to every rattle and thinking fuck me is this right 🤣 I’m sure it’s fine but next time I’ll remember my earplugs!!!!

I have the same battery/frame covers, the bikes should have come factory with them. How do you like the skidplate?
I made some rubber washers to put in between the skid plate and the brackets. Without them there was a lot of noisy resonance. After that it has been good.

I bought it second hand. It is an "official" BMW accessory. So, you can buy it at BMW dealers.
