Stout or brute handle with spear head are pretty good options. I recommend using molarium or incisum for the handle and cuprum or steel for the head.

Is lance choice just personal preference? I'm new to lancing but it seemed to me the the long handle was just the best, longest reach and only second highest dura, only slightly lower than brute.
