This is the first in a series I'm going to be doing about the commercials in Scotland. To hopefully put the lesser known fishery's on the map and even the well known ones that maybe some people still don't know about! This is Orchill Fishery, Located in Braco/Auchterarder, The drive to this fishery is just stunning, passing places like Stirling castle and the Wallace monument. This Fishery is w...

Good fishing 🎣
Absolutely loved this...I used to fish there for grayling and trout when I was fit to do so. And some other nice places close by
Hi Molly, These are great videos. Would you be interested in creating some salmon fishing content?. The company i manage currently owns time shares on the river Tweed, Erin and orchy and we really think that your videos would prompt the fishing along with the area. Could you please get in touch if your interested and i will pass you onto our receptionist who can advise on the spring dates
Hi! Thank you so much for commenting. I would love to try this! I'm all about promoting fishing 🎣 How is best to contact yourself to ask some more questions? 🙂
Hi sorry but I'm not sure why UA-cam is rejecting my response. What's the best method of contacting you to book you on the rivers ?
@iainsmith4042 if you search up Mollu Quinn on Facebook you should find me! Send me a message on there 😊
Snow on the ground. Must be freezing, standing in that river. 🥶
@@thebagelsproductions it was freezing! 🥶🥶🥶🥶
when i was a kid in the 1980s the Catrine stretch of the river Ayr was good for catching Grayling in the winter, i don't know what it's like now but i caught a few Grayling when i was a kid in Catrine
I do an awful lot of river fishing with a centre pin but I take my hat off to yo you for wading In those conditions
Ahh the old "Perchie". Loved that place as a kid
Watching the pin spinning I wonder if you would be better with a heavier float so the bait stays down but slow the pin with your finger or the spring if it's got one. The heavier float will let it move slower than the current without lifting up too far from the fish. Good luck on the chub hunt. Target the crease of slower water against the main flow
Yeah we have used heavier floats now. Definitely runs better for sure. Thank you for the info!! Fingers crossed for a Scottish chub soon
There's monster grayling in the Gryffe, but that's a secret.
Beautiful video look forward to more
Amazing fish and filming ❤
Thanks! Ps loving the name 😉😂
Great video , love the scenery and you're so natural
Well done, you done great!!! I fished this 2 weeks ago, only had 2 fish.. was my first time trotting so was happy enough.. The Clyde is great too but average size is smaller than the Nith. Look forward to seeing you on the Clyde.. tight lines
Brilliant work :)
Thank you! Cheers!
Lovely video 📽 🎣🎣grayling 🐟 beautiful looking fish 🐟 👍
Great wee video Molly. Well done 👏
Looks a beautiful river to fish 🎣🎣🐟🐟 stunning views🏞 thanks for your lovely video 📽 👍
Some nice Fish there. The Grayling is a Lovely Fish, always enjoyed Fishing for them. Some of those looked a good size too. The Nith looks a nice River to Fish for Grayling. Well done you!
Well in Molly, great to see some quality Grayling and stunning quintessential Scottish landscapes to finish. Keep em' coming 😀 can't wait to take my daughter fishing when she is old enough! All the best.
Well done cannae really beat trotting a river, and grayling are awesome
Lovely film and some beautiful grayling to reward your efforts on a winter's day. Well done!
Is that forrestburn res
yes mate
I've never caught a grayling, or even seen one. I'm def going to target them this year though. Have you fished The Tummel for them?
No i haven't actually! Got so many places adding onto the list all the time!!
Do it, I started this year in the central belt and I've never caught a fish that puts a bigger smile on your face. Now I'm obsessed @@castingtotheclip
I’m not an expert grayling fisher but I would say as a rule of thumb, the larger the grayling the longer they take to recover when you release them.
100%. We didn't really take catch shots of most of the bigger ones as we did not want to have their recovery time lengthened unnecessarily
Great vid Molly. Keep um coming. Some lovely Grayling
What a great video. Thanks for coming and showing off the beautiful river Clyde. I have fished it for the last 35 years. It has history like no other river. It’s a hard river to fish but the rewards can be sensational. I look forward to following your video 🎣
Thank you so much! I will be back down very soon to try and catch one from the River Clyde!
Sum luvly grayling,, well done👌👌,, yeah and a luvly drive through the Dalveen pass.!!😉
Thank you!
Keep up the good work , enjoying your videos !
Thank you so much mate!
Very good video well produced and some great shots. Dont need to always catch when you go out...looked a wee bit cold though. Have you tried fly fishing ?
i have not tried fly fishing yet! Maybe in the future
On Scotland 🏴🫶 the fishing 🎣👍👌
Good fishing 🎣😁
Get thyself down to the Nith! I had one at 3lb 4oz at turn of the year, it's tremendous. Upper nithsdale has 11 miles of water for a 5er a day ticket, no sundays though. CM Brown newsagent in Sanquhar.
Good to see women out on the rivers more and in angling in general. If an otter has worked a stretch it’s pointless fishing the rest of the day. Try soaking some casters and using them. The Grayling love them. Or white and red maggot. Good luck
Great video especially with the drone footage and the beautiful scenery, but sometimes it's not just all ways about catching a fish, but it is a bonus if you do 👍
Love the Hyndford Brig itself, built in the 1700s for horse drawn coaches yet today capable of taking 40 ton artic lorries. 👍
Looks absolutely baltic 😂
Thanks for the vid 🙌
It's an interesting video, and ashame you didn't catch anything. We look forward to seeing more videos.
Really enjoyed that Video. Brought back many memories of my youth Fishing the Upper Clyde. I never did have great success for Grayling at Hyndford Bridge. I found further up stream at Carstairs, Thankerton and Abington much better for Trout, Grayling and Pike, although I am talking about 40 odd years ago plus maybe a few more!😂 Anyway, great Video and look forward to many more.
I'm surprised you never caught a brownie
I have fished the Hanford Bridge stretch for 66 years since i was a 11years old. The Grayling there are prolific abive the bridge at the bend. Where you were trotting used to be terrific however i understand that the Chub have chased the game fish away?? Cheers, tight lines, Big Davie
Nice video on a wild looking river on a cold day. Grayling are a beautiful species and in winter, can be a challenge and are difficult to locate. Better luck next time. Even a hungry species like the chub can be difficult to tempt on a winter river, as I found today, with a lost fish on my first cast, and then two hours of tentative bites, but no fish. My local rivers will probably be flooded again by the end of this week, but there will be more lovely river days before the season ends. It wasn't a wasted afternoon. I had more than 2 hours of solitude and saw curlew calling, goosander and large flocks of lapwings and greylag geese.
Nice one, my go to winter fishing. Drennan titanium trotters or Drake floats are my choice. The Korum just create to much disturbance.
Thick 100% Merino wool socks and sock liners Molly, also Merino wool long John thermals and Dryrobe Trousers to keep your legs warm. Feed less and feed every trot down or you end up over feeding. 👍
Molly try the Drennan titanium trotter floats,, great for holding back.!! My fav for sure👌😉
I fished the Clyde many moons ago and caught grayling by shuffling I.e. getting into a stream, digging your feet into the gravel and creating a plume of dirty water. Dropped a nymph into the water at my feet and let it drift 10’. Hard work but I couldn’t believe how effective it was. The master of grayling fishing was my friend Colin RIACH, look him up
This is illegal nowadays, especially on salmon rivers!
Always was illegal on the Clyde ,ya bad boy. Destroys the river bed and makes it dangerous for others wading into the big fkn hole you left.😂
Shuffling is banned in Scotland.
Great watch 🎣
Shuffle 👍👍
Even without the fish that looked like a beautiful location to spend some time
😂 Noddy.
What about his mate, Big 👂👂?
i think this is a bit before my time 🤣🤣
@@castingtotheclip Noddy is still on kids TV, I believe. For some obscure reason, back in the 1980s, carp anglers started calling non-carp anglers "Noddies" as a derogatory term. It is still in use and I have an angling friend who christened me 'Noddy' recently after a run of blank river sessions and because I drive a small, yellow car! 🤣
I hope this was in good faith as a lighthearted joke? I am definitely not an angler who uses an abysmally shotted float, Towel for fish care, washing line thick mono or opting for the peg closest to the car park 🤣 and i obviously do not only fish once or twice a year. What context has this been used in?
ignore him the tube is proper moonboot and he's a manc , enough said
That was great. Really well presented, very personable and natural. Shame about the lack of fish, but that's the way it goes. Well done. Looking forward to the next.
