Yes, look at our Fork Art Performers Group is having a strong exhibition, and they are rocking and will boost your adrenaline and vitality. The embellished grandeur of wooden sedan and troupe move rhythmically to music, and loftily stride around to resonate and exhilarate spectators to the climax of amazement at temple's pompous parade. With an impressive and fill with exciting performance, the troupe acquire a center of public attention and became a dramatic spectacle to a festival mood of the public celebration. They are admirable, aren't they? and there is no one can deny it. It is such an unattainable an opportunity to catch sight of the troupe that display a marvelous performance anywhere including our hometown, but when the troupe come to visible in public which is rarely, they are always embroiled in a full of enlivened excitement, and also make a great effort to be part of a celebration. For this reason, the troupe should receive a fervent acceptance in the temple festival.
I am going to call this troupe "Folk Art Performers". Permit me to inform reminiscing about the old days of the FAP. When I was small , maybe ten years old, I remember the FAP was from the north side of Wan Li. The FAP's performing style was so much virtuous simplicity, I mean the quality of performance was entirely different, and also was not much alluring. Speaking of the dancing girls whose one hand held a Taiwanese flag and the other held a fan ,and neither much music nor dance was preformed, and it was looked a bit blunt and tactless. The troupe was consisted by a group of hard working fishermen, and that was why a symbol of fish appearing on the back of men's uniforms. The FAP was not really sharp on performance during that time and so forth it did not obtain much recognition around south regions of Tainan, and therefore it was available exclusively to local temple festival which was occurred once every five years until then. But this past a decade, ever since the FAP was redesigned performances with a lot of decorations, it has been enlivening and sprouting up so dramatic because changing of comely uniforms, lighthearted dances and the additional of the grandeur of wooden sedan that moves rhythmically to music, and proudly struts around entertaining everyone at the festival. With the replenishing it's marvelous performance, the AFP quickly gains viewer's attention and firms up a reputation for melodrama, and also boosts a strong excitement feeling that is peculiar to be at the temple festival. There is so much aspect with much exciting performance in which people's emotions are shown every strongly to the FAP that is likable, and perfectly sound. It should be received whistling applause and highly recognition. I am very fond, and proud that the FAP is a part of Wan Li, city of Tainan.
Wow..such vibrant temple festivities..kudos to Taiwanese temples for their creativity..Singapore temples must learnt from Taiwan and attract our youngsters to our colourful temples activities....
