Bull Elephant in Musth ready to mate and a little grumpy and tired
Our first morning at the Hiuhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve in South Africa,
we saw this Bull elephant twice. The first time he went into the brush and came out the other side later that morning. The wetness on his cheeks is from the musk, an oily substance that only once a year is secreted and attracts females. His glands are inflamed, the temples swollen and his temperament and behavior undergo a remarkable change. This makes him nervy, excitable and unpredictable. After shaking the tree for breakfast he showed us that he was the king of the jungle that day. Watch as he comes at us, and starts to carry his trunk in his tusks. I think he did not like the little white car in front of us. An 11 minute video but I think you will like it. August 12, 2015. Gate One Tour.

A Herd of female elephants with their young, they cross in front of us in the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve in Swaziland on August 12 2015. Watch for one of the young ones to toss a rock and then a baby picks it up. We were a little frightened at the end when two of the females came at us.

I'm no safari guide, but I think it would be a good idea to fix the squeaky belts on your car before heading back out. I'm also no elephant, but if anything was going to annoy me it would be that damn squeaking coming from those belts.

When an elephant is in this state, maybe it is best humans not bother it? That way ,when the elephant stampings a human, it does not die from gun fire. Also that car not very good at reversing?
I wish humans would stay back farther so as not to disturb them and cause them to get upset and nervous!!! Humans always have to force themselves onto God's creatures and into every space on the planet... I wish humans would look more closely at themselves, like they do these phenomenal creatures!!! Humans can be so selfish!!! I'm sick of seeing these ridiculous safaris always surrounding these poor mammals and they can't ever get away from these selfish greedy inconsiderate humans!!!! Nothing is ever enough for humans... always got to take more and more!!!

Well that elephant in musth or not is first of all a wild animal with immense power . He could be 10 feet tall weighing few tons . Very unpredictable in nature. So, my suggestion to keep safe distance while filming. In other words it should not be ur last adv. Thanks👍

The size of a blue whales tongue is equivalent to the African Elephant. Just watching this beautiful elephant and his size just amazes me. Ps: I love whales and elephants. Didn’t mean to go off topic.
