Martin Simpsons arrangment of Boots of Spanish Leather played on a Taran Tirga Beag in African Blackwood. The audio is taken from a Zoom H6 with the Stereo Shotgun mic. I have also added some of the JJB 330 Prestige pickup (like a K&K) to balance the guitar and vocal level.

After just over 2 years since i ordered, i went up to Penrith this week just gone to collect these 2 Custom Small Falstaffs. Recorded into a pair of sE 4400a Mics set to Cardiod Pattern. No EQ no Reverb just a limiter to set the maximum gain. 0:00 Start 1:48 Madi 4:03 Bog Oak

First time playing in front of an audeince in 4 years. I wrote Home about my partner and I moving into our first flat together not long before Lockdown 1. She started buying house plants so i bought guitars and started playing again.

A very different version, learnt from an english folk singer Chris Wood. I have moved Flats so its a new room to record in and hopefully still good acoustics. Played on a Flyde Alexander Guitar, captured with an sE 4400a and M80 Baggs pickup.

Valentines Upload. Hugh Lupton's words and the great Chris Wood making it into a stunning song. I've been apart from my partner Lucy for a little while due to Covid and travel restrictions so this felt even more appropriate though neither of us have ever worked in a chippy. Very nice. I have a custom Olivia (cedar) which Roger made 1979. Still in perfect shape. His guitars are magical. Yours are beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Those are lovely guitars, and they sound great. I've got a couple of Fyldes myself, and while they are mostly unknown here in the US, they attract attention when I play them due to the sound of the guitars. Roger is a wonderful builder who makes fantastic instruments.
Wow those are both beautiful sounding guitars. I’ve poured over the pics of the Bog Oak guitars on his website and for me it’s my favourite of the two. I picked up my dream guitar last year in a second hand 12 fret Brook Taw which I now love. If I had a spare four n half grand I’d be looking at a beautiful Maple guitar that’s for sale right now on the website
I have so much respect for Rodgers ethos in keeping such brilliant instruments at a price that regular musicians can afford. I know that he doesn’t like the fact that there are builders far less qualified than Rodger selling their instruments for tens of thousands.

I did buy the tab from Martins sight as i got half way through working it out and got a little stuck; i must admit, i think i'm very lucky that Martin's tabs and guitar style just 'click' with me.
