Great Trips with Epic Video.. Warm regards from Indonesia
What helmet is that?
We should all live long enough to be mobbed by a pack of out of control St Bernard Puppies! If I had to choose a way to go…
👍🏻👍🏻
Watching your video makes me miss my trip to Alaska the trip was awesome but the people I met made the trip I was in Stewart July 6,7 Saw an honda crf 300 rally thought it could have been you anyways waiting anxiously for your videos thank you.
Great video , interested in your thoughts on the 300rally as a keeper for long distance exploration mainly bitumen travel. Sold mine out of necessity a few months ago after 3500kms, I enjoyed the bike .
It was strange hearing the Imperial measures. Tenths of inches? I haven't heard that in decades. Lol
another great video, I am so jealous .The scenery , mountains, bears, rivers, and the towns with old cars in as well, all make for a brilliant watch, but the highlight on this one was obviously the PUPPIES!!! You could probably have guessed they would be my favourite bit, lol. Keep them coming Ray, and good luck for the rest of your trip, cheers buddy, Dean
Another great video. BTW, one small correction: Britannia Beach is its own community. It's not part of the city of Richmond which is on the south side of Vancouver. Also, you lucked out regarding traffic on the Sea-to-Sky. On weekends, especially sunny weekends, there's lots of traffic and many, many motorcycles.
Thanks for the correction.
Just subscribed to your channel. I love the quality of your video and audio and enjoy hearing someone else's view of our province. Also a big thumbs up for choosing a smaller bike for your travels.
Thank you. I thought it'd be interesting to use a smaller motorcycle than most. It definitely makes a difference, for better and worse.
👍👍

You make very high quality videos. I'm subscribed to all of the major vloggers like Itchy Boots and I watch a lot of motorcycle content on YT. I've added to to my subscription list 🙂 and I'll probably go through all of your videos this weekend! Take care!
Thanks for the kind words.
Just found this channel recently subscribed great content and videography .
Thank you!
As a former owner of the 300rally , still think it’s the coolest looking adventure bike on the market .
Do you watch Steve Isdhal ?
Not sure if you are concerned, however I think Mosko Moto recommends securing your bags differently that how you are doing it in these videos. I believe the straps on the front and back of each leg are to be secured to the folding top of the dry bags. There are videos and pictures on their website showing this method, which I believe is intended to make sure you use all the straps each day and they don't hang loose to become damaged while riding.
Thanks for the advice! I believe you are 100% correct.
When you described Whistler as 'expensive' and 'a little artificial' I was nodding my head. When you mentioned aiming for Prince George that day, I was shaking my head! :) It could be done, I suppose, but it would be a grueling day on the Honda! Anyway, hope you are (or did) enjoy BC.
BC was fantastic! The people were so friendly and helpful. Smithers was probably my favorite for the help I got there.
love watching your content.
Thank you!
New sub from Philippines ❤👍☺️
Love the video's. Welcome to Canada!
Thank you for the welcome!
keep 'em coming bud, entertaining as ever, great scenery, enjoy your adventure, I'm jealous of the empty roads, lol
Thank you!
Just came across your channel and subscribed! Awesome videos-I’m wishing our season wasn’t over with. My husband and I have two CRF300L Rally’s. Amazing little bikes. This year we rode ours from Idaho to Las Vegas-an epic trip. Like you, was always surprised when I could pass someone on the highway. Forget it if there was a headwind though. 😂 We just invested in a dog carrier and a trailer so we can head across the country next year with our dog. We pack all of our camping gear, hence the need for luggage room. We ordered a small clip-on windshield for the faring and it cut down on wind noise substantially. Highly recommend. All the best and thank you so much for sharing your journey. EPIC! Makes me smile!
great stuff again, sooo jealous, keep 'em coming buddy
Once again, another great video! Thank you for sharing!
Great stuff, and all the GS content to boot! What was that white bike on the last ferry with the couple next to you?
Thanks. I believe it's a Victory, which they stopped making in 2017. It's the precursor to the 'Indian' brand.
@@scotbike Thanks!
I have the same bike but your Americanized accent reminded me of my wife's though she's originally English. My guess is you have been here longer or you got sick of translating Scottish to American. Either way L&S
Thanks. It's a bit of both. I've been in the US for a long time, but the first 2 years I found I constantly had to repeat myself or rephrase things. If I go back to Scotland the accent gets stronger.
Wow .... its nice to have like that bike.. its good to feel how feels like riding that in the longride. And to vlog... I'm from Philippines sir ..
Really enjoying your videos, thanks for sharing
Used to live in Victoria in the 70's , worked briefly on the Marguerite ferry to Seattle. Best china town food ever in Victoria! Its now la la land for many well healed pensioners. Too pricey for this proletariate ! Would rather be in Israel! They know where the battle lies in the fight for freedom . cheers

on the stock seat too?
Yes, it's the stock seat. It is narrow and the edges seem to taper down sharply but I got used to it. Nowhere near the comfort of a Suzuki V-Strom 650 seat though.
@@scotbike I slapped a 20 dollar seat pad/cover from Wallyworld on mine with some paracord .
looks good , miserable, cold and wet back here on the Isle Of Wight, England!! keep up the great camera work Ray
Thanks for the kind words. Hopefully you get some better weather soon!
Whats your thoughts on the garmin montana 700i? I'm torn between that unit and the zumo xt.
I haven't used the zumo xt, but I can comment on the montana. It's bulky, waterproof and has a tough cradle that can power the unit. I would say if you're only using a gps on a motorcycle the zumo looks like it'd be fine. The montana might have the edge if you are also off-roading, camping and exploring etc. The interface feels pretty dated though. Hope that helps.
Yeah, Iguess riding Joshua Tree in July May not be real comfortable, check.
Turn the gas cap around....
That’s a great idea! Thank you.
New subscriber, nice calm review. I would have enjoyed your personal review and would like to hear more about how you added the extras. Windshield, Garmin, hand guards etc. I also suspect the trip back through the very windy section of the 10 fwy, coming home was more challenging than expressed since there is plenty of big semi going west towards Los Angeles. I will keep watching, I hope there is more with this bike. Thank You
I admire your adventure. I am thinking about doing the same. May I ask you what is the comfortable speed when you cruise on a 65-mile-speed-limit highway? May I also ask your weight and height cause as you know they have the impact to the max speed and comfortable level? When riding lighter bikes, we tend to feel less secure, vibrating more and "floating" at high speed compared to 600 pounds plus bikes. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure to the world.
65mph is an achievable cruising speed, but I’ve found most traffic was traveling at closer to 75mph on those roads, so you definitely have to watch the mirrors. I am 5’8” and 150lbs plus 50lbs of luggage. I’d consider that close to the limit for highway riding. Headwinds and hills require dropping a gear.
Reviewers seem to get hung up on the fact you have to drop a couple of gears , then rev through again to gain momentum on hills and headwinds ect , in my opinion as a former rally owner that’s what gearboxes and clutches are for ? The guys on the fast sports bikes in my experience ride around in third on mountain passes .
Remind me why you chose the 300 instead of a more road trip oriented bike? Has it been comfortable this whole time? Wish for anything else?
I went from a 1200GS to a V-Strom 650, but I liked the idea of taking a light bike cross country. Whatever the road conditions I wouldn’t worry about it so much. It forces you to slow down. It is moderately comfortable. The Suzuki has by far the better seat. Are there days I hated the bike? Maybe. Are there a few days it absolutely excelled? Yes. Would I do it again? Still thinking about that.
@@scotbike The 1250GS is my dream bike, and I'm looking at a 650 weestrom as a stepping stone from my XT250. I'd love to hear you discuss the three bikes and more of your rational behind them. I'm all about touring around slowly, but I can't imagine using my XT for that. I'd like a little more comfort and more power on tap from a safety standpoint.
@@SLG1911 I'll try to work in some comparisons into a future video. I think you'll find the 650 V-Strom an extremely capable all round bike. Some might argue it lacks character, but it makes up for that in being utterly dependable.
@@scotbike That would be great to hear, thank you. My issue is being 5'6" with a 30" inseam. Makes finding a bike a little tougher. The 1250 seems to balance and move very nicely for me, where none of the midsize bikes really seem to. I'm considering a Himalyan 450 and even a 310 GS, but would prefer a 600-800 size bike I think.
I have a 2014, 1200 GS, low mileage, lowered suspension for my 30 inch inseam, and going to sell it, hopefully to some one like you who will appreciated.
Love the video's cant wait for the next one!
That's why i chose Kawasaki versys x300cc instead. I can cruise with 75mph all day
Привет из России. Хороших дорог тебе мотобрат.
Nice, I like your style. I live in The Dalles, Oregon so I’m very familiar with your route. Do you carry camping gear? Is the 300 enough for the highway?
Hi, I'm not carrying camping equipment...which will prove to be an issue later. 60mph is relatively comfortable with luggage. 70mph is the max, so on a busy highway you really do have to keep an eye on the mirrors.
My 300L is amazing. I can’t believe how capable it is!! (non-rally version)
Rally version is more capable by far .
Love the series. How do you mount your GPS to the windscreen? I need to do something like that on my XT.
Thanks. There's a horizontal bar above the dash on the Honda,.so I'm using Ram hardware to attach the Garmin Rugged Mount, which is powered off the ignition.
@@scotbike Didn't realize the rally had that, very nice.
