I used to live across the road on Marine parade back in the '70s. So much has changed since then. Back then Snapper, Rainbow Bay and Greenmont, were three separate breaks. The dredging from the Tweed has really paid off.

Nicely put together video. Dolphins win it clearly. No decent surfer there, just beginner level. However the Dolphin at 0.53 coming from way inside is clearly the best, shame the chopper who bailed off his board got in its way.

Nice! the definition of heaven on earth is "a very pleasant or enjoyable place or situation" so the answer to your question is a definite YES. Im 60, retired and live at Palmy on the Gold coast two mins walk from the beach. In summer I fall into the warm ocean every day, usually early early, float on my back and truly appreciate just how lucky I am and how wonderful my life has been here. I hope you dont mind me sharing with you my story of how I landed in heaven on earth - I grew up a surfer in Sydney's northern beaches which was a very cool place to live back then. and affordable. after we left school we would all drive up to the new south Qld border in a convoy of early model Holdens and Fords for the new years eve celebrations. Thats plural because daylight saving meant there were two back-to-back. this was the bomb, double the fun. But it was when we drove over the border into Qld for the first time and cruised up the gorgeous Gold coast beaches to Surfers Paradise, that what I can only describe as a spiritual awakening came over me. I knew right then and there that this is where I wanted to live my life. It was magnetic. the easy going lifestyle and relaxed atmosphere, the sunshine and beautiful beaches, the people were happy, and as a young fella the girls.. OMG. Im not religious but every day I thank God for the gift of sight. 🙏 Ive traveled to a lot of places on this earth, beautiful places, but there is nothing like here. and the number of beautiful girls on the Gold coast is ridiculous. Of course most are too young for me now but.. all of those girls have mothers 😅And they are all attractive too and lovely. Young or old, women on the Gold coast are all beautiful, pleasant, friendly and so numerous. I luv women. To me your all angels from heaven, so if this isnt the definition of heaven on earth I cant imagine what is. 🥰
