@@JohnnyLREACTS I don't recall a specific example involving a Tiguan, but it's something we have done on other cars. We would normally strip out the interior, or partially do so. If we can't find a place to suck out the water, we would use ramps to lift the front to make the water run to the back. What we can't suck out, we use dehumidifiers to evaporate the water.

It's a test car. It gets washed the way normal people normally wash their cars -- we won't baby it. That's how we know the products work. In the real world, people are not using the two bucket method, touchless washing, and they aren't washing their wheels separately. In fact, the primary reason people get ceramic coatings is so they don't have to ponce about with all that nonsense. They will likely just go to a jet wash and use the tools provided. If a ceramic coating can't stand up to that, it's pointless.

Funny how cars that are not worth that much, tend to be really expensive to replace! It's definitely worth hanging onto a good car with a good engine. Japanese cars seem to go on forever.

It's not unique to VW or Tiguan. All cars leak eventually, usually once they are about 8-10 years old.

It depends on the leaks. We do an inspection on the car, then we can give an estimate.

To clean it, just car soap. Nothing special. To protect it, we used our own product, especially made for us.

Yep. We have done many that you can't see through at all and have gone yellow. The only thing we can't fix is if they are crazed. Generally, polishing them so that they are like new is the easy part. The hard part is stopping them from hazing over a year later, which requires a permanent coating which prevents oxidation.

@@newagainautoreconditioning Yes that's true but generally manufacturers improve their cars with every new model they turn out.Unfortunately Ford seem to have missed this advancement with the Focus as every one,even the latest version leak,some more,some less but the issue remains.

@@turbo3492 Cars generally leak after about 8 - 12 years on average, at which point many people will trade it in for a newer one. It's not really in any manufacturer's interest to make a car last forever; otherwise they would never sell any new ones. For people who do want their car to last forever, or at least 20, 30 years or more, companies like ours exist.

We use various commercial products, they come in big cans, are expensive and are often used in healthcare to clean hospitals.

You need to tell it to the BVRLA because that's the standard we work to. We don't make the rules.

You could do that... but I'm not sure how trading standards would feel about us doing that, and it would almost certainly go against our code of ethics.

Too busy cleaning to do filming.

Clean it out and replace with a new plug.

You remove the plate from inside the engine bay. It has 4 torx screws. T25 or T30. You can then see all the trash that's against the yellow plate. Clean it out and silicone all around the plate to seal it off. Then to the right of that clean out all leaves everywhere. For extra measure you can put a hole in that plate itself near the bottom. Bmw really messed up here. No longer is this a luxury car
